Authoress note: Vorador and what he feels during blood omen one.

For all my reviewers, who without I would have surely given up a long time ago.

Revolution.

{Vorador}

Rain was less than appreciated.

But he knew it was necessary, the rain fed the plants, the plants fed the animals which in turn fed the humans and thus fed the vampires. The vampires after all were his responsibility. He had been responsible for his kind for years and he had done well enough in his duty. His kind were dying out, but he was slowing the process, he could not stop it. Then something had changed, something in the air had changed, the air which had always been so cold and hard even in the swamp became softer and was easier to inhale.

Ha had no knowledge as to what had caused it but then he felt that he had little idea what was going on these days and so his lack of knowledge did not trouble him. It just was and he accepted it, accepted it until one evening his home was breached, not by mortal men but by a single fledgling. The fledgling brought death and destruction and he smelt of blood and anger but there was something about him that made Vorador calm. An energy that came from him that made Vorador forget all of his own advice and all that he had learned those years and years of abuse and hard learning. It was almost like this fledgling brought out what he had held in his youth, all his own anger and outrage at the situation he and the rest of his kind were in.

The fledgling’s anger made him remember his own anger, the fledglings attitude of just-because-it-had-never-been done-before-didn’t-mean-anything made him feel that they could do anything. All of that combined made him hand over his ring to the three week old child in front of him. Made him answer the call for help a week later. He met his great adversary on the field and he killed him, something he had thought he would never do.

Kain made him realize that great change was upon them.

He would be ready.
