HEEEEEEEEY YOUUUUUUUU GUUUUUUUUYS!!!!!! Welcome back to Mysterra; here we are at the fourth installment, titled Revival! for those that've just gotten done reading Mysterra III-End Universe, the title is a clue as to what the plot is this time around....but then again, it was kinda obvious, right?

Anyway, for those just joining us, hi! This isn't really the best place to start....some things are going to be confusing, so I'd suggest going back to look through Mysterra III if you're going to be serious about this. Don't worry, most everything will be explained, to the best of my ability.

Anyway, those that have read know what to expect; T-rated stuff, like violence, coarse language, and just a pinch of crude humor. Anyway, I've kept you waiting long enough; let the events unfold!

Tales of Mysterra IV-Revival

Hey now don't make a sound
Say, have you heard the news today?
One flag was taken down
To raise another in it's place

A heavy cross you bear
A stubborn heart remains unchanged
No home, no life, no love
No stranger singing in your name

Maybe the season
The colors change in the valley skies
Dear God I've sealed my fate
Running through Hell
Heaven can wait

Long road to ruin
There in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow
No dead end in sight

Let's say we take this town
No king or queen of any state
Get up to shut it down
Open the streets and raise the gates

I know a wall to scale
I know a field without a name
Head on without a care
Before it's way too late

Maybe the season
The colors change in the valley skies
Oh God I've sealed my fate
Running through Hell
Heaven can wait

Long road to ruin
There in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow
No dead end

Long road to ruin
There in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow
No dead end in sight

For every piece to fall in place
Forever gone without a trace
Your horizon takes its shape
No turning back, don't turn that page

Come now, I'm leaving here tonight
Come now, let's leave it all behind
Is that the price you pay
Running through Hell
Heaven can wait

Long road to ruin
There in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow
No dead ends

Long road to ruin
There in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow
No dead ends

Long road to ruin
There in your eyes
Under the cold streetlights
No tomorrow
No dead end in sight

Chapter 1-New Surroundings; Whereabouts Unknown

Nothing.....nothing but darkness as far as the eye could see. Was this what he was really seeing, or was he asleep? Or worse? Was this death? No....it couldn't be death. There should be something else happening if that were so. Regardless, he was somewhere dark...dark, empty....and lonely.

It was unusual, how those words seemed to echo through his mind...wait, was this his mind? Was he thinking? Who is "he" anyway? For some reason, even he didn't know who "he" was.
Specifically, "he" was some sort of strange creature....he looked something like a dragon, however, he had some other mammal features, namely hair, paws, and long, pointy ears. The only real dragon features seemed to be his muzzle, his tail, and his body structure. He had white fur covering his entire body, and a red collar sort of item around his neck, upon which hung a medal. The creature seemed to be floating in an endless, dark abyss, with no one around...he was alone.

Then again, he had grown accustomed to loneliness. He had no idea why, but the concept of being lonely seemed to not faze him at all. Why? Well....he didn't even know that. Gee, so many things seemed to be unknown.....what did he know? That is an odd question...he seemed not to remember anything at all. What was he doing before this? Why is he here? Is there some reason for his current location?

Our little dragon creature was not only unable to remember who he was, but was unable to control his body. He simply hung there, like a lifeless doll being suspended by a string. Or....something like that. The dragon tried to turn his head in order to get a better look at his surroundings, but his neck muscles would not yield to his commands. Then again, all of his muscles seemed to ignore their master. The dragon struggled to gain control of his movements, until his vision began fading....wait, if he was surrounded by darkness and couldn't see anything, how could his vision be fading? For all he knew, he could be blind. But, sensing his current predicament, he'd also have to be mute, deaf, dumb, and numerous other handicaps. So, if his mind thought his vision was fading, who was he to object? Nothing else seemed to obey him at the moment. So, our little dragon creature succumbed to his fading subconscious, hoping that he would awaken soon...

So, let's turn our attention elsewhere for the time being. Let's see...we now find ourselves in some sort of forested area. In a rather small clearing, we see a figure unconscious on a rock. He is some sort of orange ball, with arms, legs, and a face. He also has several spikes on his back. This figure is snoring softly, oblivious to the crunch of leaves that are coming closer. Another figure finally approaches the orange ball creature, looking him in over curiously.

Meanwhile, in some place separate from the place just mentioned, we look at a forested area that is much darker, mainly due to the fact that it's night. At the edge of the forest, a single figure is lying on the ground. He is some sort of blue anthropomorphic animal, with spiky blue hair, gloves, and shoes. He snorted a bit, and his eyes slowly opened. The creature sat up and looked around groggily, saying, "Whoa....what happened last night..."

The figure looked around, and murmured, "Wait a minute....I'm in the Mystic Ruins..."

The blue animal then stood up, clutching his head slightly. Shaking off the remains of his dizziness, the animal walked towards the edge of the forest, where there is a large hill overlooking the ocean. He walked up the steps, and finally approached a hut at the top. Sitting next to this hut is a long stretch of land jutting outwards, forming a sort of cliff. The blue cretaure walked up to the hut and knocked on the door. He then began rocking on his heels, waiting for a reply. after a few moments, he knocked on the door again, and finally yelled, "Tails? You in there buddy?"

There was no reply. After a few more moments, the blue creature knocked on the door again, and said, "Tails? It's me, Sonic. You in there?"

Sonic waited for a few moments, and went to knock on the door again. However, it seemed to swing open slightly, allowing the blue hedgehog to step inside. The place was cluttered like usual, however, there was no sign of anything else alive in there. Sonic began getting worried, and suddenly disappeared, having rushed upstairs with his trademark sonic speed. Within less than a minute, Sonic had scouted the entire house, finding no trace of anyone else. The hedgheong ran outside, and yelled, "Tails! Where are you buddy?"

The hedgehog disappeared again, having ran so fast that he was nothing but a blur now. The hedgehong scoured the entirety of the forest and its surroundings area, but couldn't seem to find who he was looking for. As he ran through the forsst, his voice echoed, "Tails! Where are you!?"

The hedgehog's voice rang through the forest, causing several birds to take flight into the air, right as the sun was rising up...

Going somewhere else now, we find ourselves in yet another forested area. However, this one is lighter than the other, since it appears to be morning, or some time around then. We look at a clearing, where there are some trees dotting the area, and a cliff wall a short distance upwards. To the side of the cliff, we see another figure.

It is a sort of anthropomorphic figrue similar to the aforementioned Sonic, however, he is quite different. He has golden yellow fur, is a bit shorter, and has a pair of fox tails underneath him. Scattered around the figure are seven colorful gems, each one shining a different color. The figure's pointy ears finally twitched, and his eyes slowly opened, shining light into them, and forcing him to cover his face. The figure slowly sat up, and rubbed his head, saying, "Ugh....what happened?"

The figure looked around, and soon noticed the seven gems sitting on the ground. He sat up, a bit unsteady on his feet, and collected the gems. He looked them over, and murmured, "Weird....the Chaos Emeralds?"

The Chaos Emeralds, being seven gems of great power, would normally never just be sitting all together in one location, especially in such easy reach. The fox immediately suspected this as a trap, and looked around for anyone that was about to attack him. However, no one struck. The fox looked around nervously, and finally muttered, "Hello?"

When no one replied, the fox sat down, scratching his head. Where was he anyway? He had never been in a place like this. He tried remembering back to what he was doing before, and finally remembered.

He, Miles Prower, better known as Tails, was just fighting against a demon of great power not too long ago, with his friends, Victor, Raiu, and Don Patch. But...where were they? Tails remembered that his opponent had said they'd be unable to escape from where they were....but he did? If he escaped, did the others do so as well? The fox boy decided to take a look. So, he stowed the Chaos Emeralds away in his bushy tails, and proceeded to look around. He was feeling a little sore, but it was nothing that he couldn't walk off. First things first; Tails needed to find out where he was.

The fox began wandering around, and, along the way, he began studying the wildlife in the area. Well...pretty interesting wildlife. The animals...or whatever they were...consisted of small brown mushroom-looking creatures with no arms, and a pair of legs. They didn't look like they'd be any harm to the fox boy, or anyone else for that matter. The fox began looking around, trying to find any clue as to where he was. As he wandered along, he saw some other subspecies of the mushroom creatures he had seen earlier; some had wings, while others had a well-developed spike on top of their heads. Tails began looking around, and finally came to another clearing. And there, he saw who he was (partially) hoping to see.

It was a white dragon-looking creature, who had long, pointy ears, paws, and a red collar around his neck. This was none other than one of Tails' friends, Raiu the dragon/rabbit hybrid (species unknown). Raiu was huddled in front of a tree, with his knees tucked close to his chest. Tails rushed over to him, and yelled, "Raiu!"

The fox finally came to his friend, who seemed to ignore him. Takils raised an eyebrow, and repeated, "Raiu?"

The kit went to touch the dragon, who slowly looked around, with a blank look on his face. This took Tails by surprise, as the dragon finally asked in a hollow voice, "Who...are you?"

Tails was caught off guard, and replied, "It's me, Tails!"

Raiu was silent for a moment, then murmured, "Okay....I don't know who that is..."

The fox's eyes widened, as he said, "What are you talking about, Raiu? It's me!"

Raiu turned around, and asked, "Who's Raiu?"

Tails nearly fell over at this comment, and replied, "You...you're Raiu!"

Raiu turned around, and murmured, "That's my name? Huh..."

Tails continued to stare at the dragon, until he said, "You...don't know who you are? You don't know who I am?"

Raiu shook his head, causing his ears to flop slightly. Tails was stunned silent, and said to himself, "He....doesn't remember who he is? Is he....maybe suffering from amnesia?"

The fox thought back to the battle he had just fought, and murmured, "Maybe he is suffering from amnesia..."

Raiu finally stood up, and asked, "Do you know where we are?"

Tails was silent for a moment, and finally replied, "To tell the truth, I don't know where we are either...."

Raiu sighed, and muttered, "Well, that just sucks..."

Tails was a little surprised at Raiu's slight change in behavior; the Raiu he knew would panic at knowing this, but the Raiu he was seeing right now was only slightly worried. Tails continued a little nervously, "Well, I was going to look around...but now that we're together, we should probably stay that way, just so that it'll be safer."

Raiu looked a little nervous, and said aloud, "Go with a stranger?"

Tails sweatdropped at this remark; not only was Tails definitely not a stranger (at least, to Raiu), he certainly wasn't going to do anything to him. Tails finally said, "I'm not really a stranger...but I can assure you that you'll be safe with me."

Raiu was silent, then murmured, "I guess I could go with you..."

Tails grinned slightly, now knowing that he had a friend with him. He wasn't alone...for now, at least.

Meanwhile, we turn to another darker forest (not the one Sonic was in). This one seemed to be more ominous, and had a castle looming in the background. In one clearing, we have another figure lying down on the ground, unconscious. He was some sort of dragon, who looked somewhat similar to a human. He had light blue skin and white hair that stuck straight into the air like a mohawk. He also had two belts strapped across his chest, making an X-shape. He also had a pendant around his neck, which was in the shape of a star with a green gem in the middle. He also had a sword strapped on his back, kept in place by the straps. The dragon's eyes twitched, and he slowly sat up, looking around curiously. It seemed to be dark out.
The dragon sat up, rubbing his head. Where was he....wait a minute!

The dragon leaped to his feet, and thought, "Apocalypse! Where is..."

The figure looked around, and noticed that he wasn't in the void he was in earlier. The dragon looked around....where was he exactly?

He is one of the most famous warriors in the Lunar Guild, Victor. Known for defeating the Army of Darkness more than a year ago, he was well known for being a tenacious opponent....but, he was also known for not being the brightest person in the world, as well as being hard-headed and confident. Victor looked around, knowing that he was definitely not in Mysterra anymore. Suddenly, he heard footsteps; the dragon drew his sword, ready to attack whoever dared to attack him. The dragon stayed in this stance as the footsteps stopped, signifying that his target had stopped moving. Or....did he?

Victor looked around, as a pair of red eyes peered at him from the bushes. Victor didn't seem to notice these, and didn't until the figrue leaped form the bushes, drawing a thin blade in the process. Victor quickly wheeled around, just in time to block the incoming stroke. It was now that Victor was able to identify his opponent.

He was a human wearing some sort of green coat, and had blonde hair. He also had pale skin and piercing red eyes. He was wielding some sort of rapier, and had a confident smirk on his face upon seeing Victor. The dragon managed to knock his opponent backwards, as the two got into a stance. Victor growled, as the man said in a dignified tone, "And what are you suppsoed to be?"

Victor growled, and muttered, "Cocky little..."

The man chuckled, and said, "It doesn't matter who you are anyway. If you raise your sword against me....then you will no doubt taste defeat."
