“P…please…stop!” His weakening voice could barely be heard over the screams of his companion, who could not even form a coherent word at the moment. “We didn’t…mean it…”

Black Rose Witch said nothing. Lies were all people like this knew how to utter, even in the midst of pain. A single flicker of will caused the vines of Black Rose Dragon to tighten around them even more. She wanted to hear nothing from them anymore, not even an apology for attacking her.

That wasn’t entirely true, however. She wanted to hear them scream. Screams that she could sleep soundly to.
