Authoress Notes: This is a little sonouge project that I'm dedicating to shadowamypunk who has been recently obsessed with this pairing. What I decided to make was a cute little something from the pairing that I plan to give to her, which she already knows what it it, but I thought I'd let everyone else see 'what' it is. There were tons of things that he was good at, but when it came to this sort of thing... A sigh was heaved from his chest balancing off of his lips. Which would be the right one?! God, there are just so many of them! Wondered the blue hedgehog gazing at assorted but equally looking rings that sat in a heavy glass container.

For a few good days now, the hero had been entering many jewelry shops in search for the perfect ring! He wanted to get her something she'd like, but he also knew that she only had a taste for EXPENSIVE things! After all, the man only had so much rings he could spend...

I thought I could do this on my own, but it looks like I'll have to ask for some help... Is what he finally decided leaving the store in defeat. He might have been a hero, but even heroes had themselves some tough foes! And commitment was one of them!

A gloved finger pressed the door bell to the side of the front door. Then he tapped a foot impatiently waiting for some one to answer the door. Instead of being greeted by a cheerful pink hedgehog and her child right on her heels, he however, got met with an unamused black hedgehog.

"What do you want Faker? Rose and our daughter are out." That was the cold tone voiced by the grumpy hedgehog. Crimson stripped arms folded over a dark chest while he waited for an answer.

"Where exactly is Amy and Rosetta? I've got something I need to talk with her about." Sonic simply answered his question with one of his own. A cocky grin formed on his lips at being called 'faker'.

Cerise eyes rolled in annoyance at the blue blur's question. "Rose took the girl over to Rouge's for a..." This grimaced expression plagued his face as he finished his sentence. "'Play date' with the both of yours son."

"Thanks Shad!" The cobalt hero thanked him with a wink and a wave before speeding off towards Rouge's. He had to be over there anyway...

A quick skidding stop was made at 'Club Rouge'. Even after having their son, the bat woman still kept her home in that club of hers. With a smooth grin and running gloved hands thru those quills of his, the hedge-male knocked on the door.

"Sorry, we're closed at the moment!" Shouted a deep sensual voice on the other side of the front double doors.

"It's me!" Announced the hero cupping his mouth with his hands to exceed his voice.

After hearing who decided to knock upon her doors, the ivory bat opened them up for her visitor. "You're a little early." She pointed out to him.

Before the hero could put his word in edge wise, he was ambushed with a tackling hug!

"Daddy!" Exclaimed the light blue hedgehog attached to his waist. Tall ears stood straight up while a tiny tail wagged in excitement. Bright blue eyes shined brightly and a pair of dark blue wings flapped vigiorously.

"Hey there Quick ol' buddy!" Said the older hedgehog male with excitement ringing in his voice. A large gloved hand ruffled those quills of the boy's. "How's my little man been?"

"I've been good, and oh, Rosetta's here to play with me!" Replied the hedge-bat with a wide smile across his muzzle.

"So I've heard. You must be having so much fun!" Was what his father told him with a playful wink.

"Uh-huh!" Quick answered with a swift nod. But then his ears flattened against the top of his head. "But I have more fun with you, but you are only around for so long!"

Sonic opened his mouth to explain himself when he was cut off.

"Quick, why don't you go find Rosetta? I'm sure she's getting pretty lonely without you there to play with her." Rouge decided to intervene before things got all depressing.

"Oh yeah! Thanks for reminding me mama!" With that said, the hedge-boy rushed back inside to play with his friend once more.

The bat woman sighed with her arms folding in one another over her chest. "Do you realize what I have to put up with every night?" Is what she asked Sonic turning her attention towards him. "He's always asking about you. He always wants to know why you never get to stay with us... It's heart breaking, you know." She explained with an upset expression upon her face.

"It's not like I'm trying to hurt the boy's feelings Rouge. I've got a lot going on..." He was already there to defend himself, and it wasn't like he was lying or anything... What he needed was more time!

She scoffed at him. "Whether you mean to or not, you are!" Now her expression held slight anger. "And I really don't see what you have going on. No one needs a hero since there's nothing more than simple crime going on. You just have to realize something Sonic, and that you have to grow up!" Okay, now she was pissed! "You need pull that damned head of yours from out of that little fantasy world of yours! We're adults now, and you've got a son to think of!"

Just about the time Rouge had finished her bashing speech, the person Sonic came to somewhat originally see approached them.

"Is everything okay out here?" Asked Amy directing her question towards the other female adult. "I heard some yelling..."

"I'm going to watch the children..." Was all the ex-spy said stomping away in made stride into her home.

At receiving a long-winded bashing, the blue blur couldn't help but groan. Great! She's busting my balls while I'm trying to propose!

He was brought out of his stressed thoughts when he felt a hand lay upon his shoulder. "You okay? You see a little down..." Is the question the rose hedgehog asked him.

Sonic sighed. "Look, I need your help!" His hands grabbed a hold of her arms. Jade eyes made serious contact with ones of the same color. "But you have to promise to keep this a secret! I don't want the surprise to be ruined!"

Those eyes of Amy's widened in at the shock of seriousness Sonic was emitting. "I promise, but could you let go of me? You're squeezing my arms...!"

"Sorry!" Exclaimed the hedge-male automatically relinquishing his hold on her.

"So, what is it that you need to tell me?" Now that she promised to keep her mouth shut to everyone else about it, Amy wanted to know what was going on!
