New Story!!! This is my first story that is not in someone’s pov so please tell me what you think. This story takes place about two years into the future. Cameron is gone… For now. This chapter is a little shaky and short because it has to introduce the story. Eventually it is going to go deep into houses thoughts and he is going to compare with Emma (the new character) Let me know what you think about this so far. I think you can see where it is headed.
Disclaimer: I do not own house md or anything.
Chapter 1
House walked into his office expecting to get an ordinary patient and an ordinary case. He found out quickly, that today would change his life… Today, was going to change everything.
When House stepped into his office he saw a girl. She appeared to be about fourteen with dark brown wavy hair and she was really tall. House, was completely confused as to why a girl would be sitting in his office or why she was sitting in his chair.
She stood up as soon as he walked in.
“Hello, are you doctor House?” the girl asked.
“Are you dead or in the process of dying?” asked House.
“Not that I know of?” replied the confused girl.
“Then I’m not doctor House and you should get out.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Dr. House. My name is Emma.” Said the girl. House smirked. The girl was pretty smart to figure him out that quickly.
“Why are you here?” asked House.
“I just wanted to meet you. I heard some things and you sound very interesting. I was just curious.” Said Emma.
House just stood there and looked at her. This was all very peculiar. This young girl came into his office for no reason but to learn about him? House didn’t want to deal with this.
“Can you just get out now? I know I’m like a celebrity and all, but I don’t like little children.” He said.
“Okay, I’ll give you a day to figure out why I am here. If you don’t figure it out, I’ll just disappear and never come back again.” Said Emma.
This made House think. This girl obviously new enough about him to know he loved to solve puzzles. She knew it would bother him not to know what this girl was doing here. She wanted him to care, but why?
“Fine. Why would I care to know who you are?” he asked.
“I can’t say because it will ruin this little game.” She said as she turned to walk away. Before she stepped out the door she said “What were you doing fourteen years ago?” Then, she walked away.
The whole rest of the day House was thinking about everything going on in his life back then. It was kind of a rough patch for him and Stacy. She left for a few months and never said why. After that, they moved in together. House had no idea as to why this had anything to do with this girl. It was driving him crazy thinking about it. So of course, he headed to Wilson’s office.
“What was that girl in your office this morning?” asked Wilson without looking up from his newspaper.
“I don’t know. I was coming here to have you do one of your little analogies.” Said House.
“What did she say to you?” asked Wilson.
“She told me her name was Emma and she was fourteen years old. She said that I was just so amazing and all she wanted to do was stare at me.” House said sarcastically. “Oh, and she said I have a day to guess who she is.”
Wilson looked kind of startled. He just looked out the window and started fidgeting. “What does she look like?” asked Wilson.
House gave Wilson a questioning look, but answered his question. “She’s as tall as a giraffe, brown curly hair, and blue eyes.” House said like it was embedded in his brain.
Wilson got even more fidgety. “She doesn’t happen to look like Stacy does she?” asked Wilson.
“Why do you ask?”
Wilson shook his head. “Stacy has a kid….And you have a kid.” He said quietly. He was ashamed of hiding it from House all these years.
Houses face got red. He looked like he was ready to punch something. “How dare you hide this from me. Why did she hide this from me?” House screamed.
“Stacy didn’t know what to do. She got scared because well from what she had seen of you, you weren’t a people person. She got scared and she put the kid in an orphanage. That is why she was away all that time. She was having your kid. I’m sorry House. I should have told you. After this all happened I knew it was a mistake not to tell you, but it was too late.” Said Wilson.
“I had a right to know.” Said House. “What am I supposed to do now? Pick up the pieces of this catastrophe? Stacy should have to deal with this not me!”
“Hey! This is just as much your fault as it is hers. You are the one who got her pregnant you know.”
House thought for a moment. “She could have had an abortion!” screamed House.
“House! She’s a human being.”
“IT was a fetus at one point. I’m not going to deal with this.” Said House.
“At least find out what she is here for.” Said Wilson.
“She is here to get money and get out of the orphanage that is obvious. She heard that her daddy was a doctor and he had lots of money. So she just assumes she can have a perfect little life now.
“Find out her reasoning. That is what you do. She might just be here because she wants to meet her father. It’s probably a mistake on her part, but children want to be close to their parents it is a fact. Do you think you would be different if you were close to your dad?” Wilson asked.
House looked at his feet trying to hide emotion. “I don’t know.” He said sincerely.
