Angelina rolled over in bed, smiling when she felt the warmth of Greg’s body lying next to her. It had been almost a year since she had left Gary behind and taken a chance on being with Greg. She had never been happier. With a content sigh she moved closer to him, resting her head on his chest and listening to his heartbeat.

She thought back to when she had finally left Gary. It had been such a hard adjustment, but Greg had been there for her. He held her through the nightmares and the nights when she felt like giving up altogether. He never once gave up on her.

Angelina knew that she would never be able to repay him for all that he had given her. All the love that he had shown her was just incredible. Just the thought of it made her lightheaded.

Greg never ceased to amaze her in the time that they had been together. He was such a polar opposite of Gary and she knew that they’d be together for a long time to come. She couldn’t get enough of being in his arms and wasn’t about to give that up anytime soon.

When they were apart she counted the minutes until they’d be together again. Angelina let out a soft chuckle at the thought. I really am like a junkie when it comes to this man she thought as she watched him sleeping.

Greg felt eyes on him and his eyes fluttered open. Angelina lay in his arms staring up at him, a small smile on her face. The look in her eyes was far off and dreamy. “You all right,” he asked sleepily.

She nodded. “Just watching the man I love sleeping,” she replied, kissing his lips softly.

“Looked like you were a million miles away,” he replied.

“Just thinking about all the times when I felt like I couldn’t go on,” she said softly. “And how you were the only thing that kept me going.”

“Babe, you don’t have to ever worry about that again,” he said kissing her temple. “Not as long as we’re together.”

“I know,” she said snuggling closer to him. “I wasn’t worrying. Just…musing I suppose.”

“I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you were there for me,” she said softly. “You’ll never know how much you mean to me. I just can’t put it into words.”

“You don’t have to put it into words, Angie,” he said smiling as he pulled her on top of him and captured her lips with his.

Her heart skipped a beat at the sensation of his soft, warm lips on hers. She could feel the familiar lightheadedness that always came when he kissed her. As his lips trailed to her neck she threw her head back reveling in the sensations he was giving her.

“Oh, Greg,” she sighed, pulling his face up to hers and looking into his eyes. “Don’t ever stop making me feel like this.”

“Like what, baby?”

“Like I’m high. Higher than I’ve ever been in my entire life,” she said. “You’re better than any drug.” He smiled and captured her lips with his once again.
