It was a typical winter day. The sun was blocked off by numerous clouds slowly drifting thru the sky that was a light color of gray. Light assortment of snowflakes fell slowly from those drifting clouds covering the city of Station Square with a thin blanket of snow. Off and on a short breeze of wind would pick up blowing on by making the weather much more chilling!

Golden orbs gazed up at the sky in pure fascination. A gloved hand reaches outwardly and upwardly towards the sprinkles of frozen rain to catch them then observe them. They eventually melt - soaking into the fabric of the gloves. Zap had witnessed this type of weather before, in his past life, but seeing it in his new form... It was so breath taking...! A sight to behold! Though a shiver slid down his spine, it was quite chilly as well!

The light blue hedgehog was standing outside a clothing store with his clothed back leaning against a brick wall. Along the ground were assorted shopping bags that he was carrying off and on between stops to various stores.

Amy had announced that the two of them were going to go on a 'shopping spree', well, more of her a less, but he tagged along anyway. He carried some of the bags that he believed got too heavy for her. Which, in his opinion, she was buying too many items! But then again, he wasn't used to shopping, so he had no real say so in the matter. And besides, he got to spend time with her and her favorite hobbies, so he was happy.

Afer a few good more minutes of watching snow fall, the pink hedgehog stepped out of the store. Many more bags were in her hands and hanging from her arms.

Zap couldn't help, but chuckle at her! She had this truimphant grin upon her muzzle as she swung the bags in her grasp in glee.

"I think I'm done for the day~" Said Amy happily though exhaustingly.

"Whatever decision you make is fine with me." He spoke of truth as he smile sincerely at her - taking some of the items from her hands and arms.

"You're so sweet!" Exclaimed the rose female at seeing the sky blue male take more of her bags. "Are you sure you don't want anything else besides the clothes and food I have already bought for you? I feel like you deserve so much more for helping me out so much!"

What she got was a nod in response. "I have done nothing but give you truth. All that you have provided for me is efficent. And the tasks I have tied myself to do not require any rewarding. I have done this of my own accord, and it shall continue to stay that way. But I am grateful for your hospitality and for what you've already supplied me with." That is what he reassured her with a smile before attending to the bags he had sat to the ground along side him.

Amy snorted in amusement. "If you say so...!" She remarked in a sarcastic but just as amused tone.

"And I do." Zap countered with a sly grin - now a rose with all of the bags in his grasp, which was at least twenty or so in his arms/hands now.

He received a laugh in response before a, "Come on." was said to him.

Nodding, the artifical hedgehog followed after her.

After a couple of minutes of walking, more shivers started to course thru the hedge-male's body that made his fur stand up! This sneeze soon followed afterward, which almost caused him to drop some of the bags!

That didn't go unnoticed by Amy! "I knew you should have came inside with me at each store!" She began to complain with a pout. "You're going to catch a cold at this rate!" But then she remembered something she bought for this type of weather! Snapping some gloved fingers, she haulted in her tracks to dig thru one of her bags.

"My apologies. I just wanted to simply site see, and only succeeded in sacrificing my health in the process... I didn't mean for such an act to conspire..." Those were the male apologies as his frown replaced his smile... But then it changed when an eyebrow was arched in surprise interest in watching her start to rummage thru one of her bags.

"Aha! Found it!" Announced the bubble gum colored hedgehog in truimph before pulling out a long and huge bright blue scarf.

After she pulled out the entire piece of clothing, which took a good few seconds, she began to wrap one side around Zap's neck and shoulders. Then the other around her own neck and shoulders till the two were now literally wrapped side-by-side to one another.

"There! That should do it! You'll warm up and possibly beat off any chance of that cold sneaking upon you and get'cha!" Said Amy happily narrowing her eyes at the last part to emphasize it.

By that point, when the two hedgehog's were just about cheek-to-cheek, Zap didn't really hear much of what Amy was saying... His cheeks were uproaring into a bright blush as his attention was upon the closeness of their bodies.

"Come on, let's head on home..." Was what he heard that brought him out of his daze.

Nodding mutely, he went back to walking along with her, though his strides were much slower than before...

Sighing, Amy began to unintentionally and impulsively nuzzle her head against the warmth of Zap's shoulder. That made his face grow even brighter with embarrassment - making fur on the ends of his quills stand up!

Not far ahead and off to the side of the 'couple' stood a certain royal blue hedgehog wrapped in a red and white stripped scarf. He was paying a visit to a nearby chilidog cart getting his feel when something caught his eye!

Is that Amy... and another GUY hedgehog with her...? Was what he wondered in unamused curiosity. He had never seen that lighter blue hedgehog before! The shock, and... and slight jealousy...?! Had him frozen in place to where he couldn't speed over there to impose!

Zap was brought out his love-struck thoughts to see a certain blue annoyance just up ahead of him and Amy. He seemed to be all chipper and content, that it, till he spotted him and her! This dumbfounded expression slowly crept onto his face at seeing the two so 'cozy' together.

Amy was too caught up in her fun and warmth of her dear friend to actually notice Sonic for once!

With that oppurtinity at hand, a cocky smirk graced the android hedgehog's lips as he flashed it at the blue blur, who seemed to become even more surprised! While he was left gasping for air from accidentally swallowing then just about choking on a huge piece of chilidog, a few fingers snuck around the side of Amy's clothed shoulder while a white muzzle nuzzled into rose quills...
