I thought that this series needed a lot more love :O
So this is my attempt at a fanfic.

If people like it...I shall continue. This is pretty much like a prologue ^^.

Summary: Hiki is fed up of Hal and Kai's constant arguing and their general lack of ability to get along... Can they sort it themselves, or will it take something such as forcing them on a vacation together to bring them to their senses?

HalxKai...naturally
But I'm implying a little Hiki/Ibu, because I can =] hehe

I do not own switch...if I did...well it'd be HalxKai xD

But anyway, on with the story...

Director Hiki's eyebrow twitched in aggravation as he watched the two NCD agents squabbling on the sofa; again. He sighed and brought his palm to his forehead in frustration, moving honey coloured hair as he did so.

For the past few days that he'd seen Kai and Hal now, they'd done nothing but argue and bicker like children did over a small toy. He couldn't bear how embarrassed he'd been when Ibu and Miyoshi had popped up from the intelligence department to see him about something, only to see Kai, cheeks pink with frustration, and Hal, blue eyes narrowed in a horrible scowl. Needless to say, they'd avoided coming up to see Hiki for the rest of the week.

The worst of it was, Hiki had no idea how it had got like this. But he could see that it was only going to get worse if they didn't sort it out soon...

"Eto. Kurabayashi," He said, trying not to sound too fed up. The blond and redhead turned, even then looking as if to outdo one another by being the first to look. Hiki sighed and picked up a file that was on his desk. He waved it at them, and they rushed over, both grabbing for it at once. He blinked and cringed as he realised what was coming next.

"I had it first, good for nothing!" Hal snapped, placing a hand on a slender hip. Kai went pink.

"Hal, it doesn't matter who had it first. But I thought I'd take it and read it, because otherwise I don't get to..."

"Now you're just making stuff up. Stop acting like such a baby all the time!"

"I don't act like a baby!"

Hiki had reached the end of his tether. Taking the two other males by surprise, he yanked the file from both of their grasps, and glared at them. He stood up, and the two of them shuffled, embarrassed. Hiki pushed his glasses up and cleared his throat, feeling his cheeks going pink.

"Right, I've had enough of you two this week. I don't know what on Earth has gotten into you, but I plan to end it," He glanced at the file and sighed sadly, "I don't think I should even give you this mission, really,"

Kai bit his lip, and Hal looked down at his shoes. They were like naughty school children who had been summoned to the head master's office for a good telling off. Hiki waited for either of them to speak, and when none of them did he sighed and shook his head.

"If you don't sort it over the weekend, then I'll have to take...action,"

Kai squeaked.

"You're firing us? Me?" Hal rolled his eyes but said nothing. Hiki smiled, and Kai felt a little bit of relief flood over him. Hiki wouldn't do that.

"No, but please...try and sort things out between yourselves,"

He gave a small nod, indicating that they could leave. Wordlessly they did so, and Hiki waited until Kai had closed the door behind him before dropping back into his chair and resting his head on the desk. Work could be such a stressful thing sometimes.

He didn't look up as the door clicked open. The next thing he was aware of was a hand on his shoulder.

"Director Hiki?"

"Mm?"

Hiki looked up, and his cheeks tinged pink as he realised it was Ibu who had come in. He sat up, and attempted to look dignified. The dark haired male chuckled and folded his arms.

"Did you sort it?" he asked. Hiki sighed and shrugged his shoulders. He smiled at Ibu.

"I've given them the weekend. If they can't sort it themselves...I'll...um..,"
"I'll help you think of something," the other male said. Hiki couldn't hide another smile.

Outside the building, Kai traipsed down the steps after Hal. His mind was a jumble of ideas that he was formulating about getting along better with him. His stomach swooped – he didn't know why he was arguing with him. He liked Hal...

He hated it when he was angry, hurt or unhappy, and all he really wanted was to be close to his partner. He couldn't remember how, why or even when their disagreements had started, but now it seemed like everything irritated Hal. Kai sighed longingly as the setting sun caught Hal's hair – he then realised that he'd sighed rather loudly.

A soft blush coloured the redhead's cheeks, and he gulped as the blond gave him an icy, over-the-shoulder glare. Still, Kai smiled kindly.

"Hal?"

"What?"
"Erm...do you want to do something...over the weekend?"
