The smell of the salty filled Saya’s senses as she stared out into the ever expanding darkness. She had always loved the sea; it was so endless and vast, mysteriously tranquil and evoked a deep longing in her heart. She hoped Riku was going to be okay and she still wondered if giving him her blood, stopping his time, was the right choice or was she pressured into doing it by Kai’s pain and fear of losing his only blood family left.

Diva… the unbidden though of her little sister filtered through her mind. It made her sick to her stomach to know that she was related to such a cruel person. Those sapphire eyes were just as cold as the gems they mimicked. Luring her victims to her with her sweet song and then drinking their blood until there was none left.

Saya groaned her arm going around her stomach just thinking about being related to that monster. She wondered if it was better if the didn’t know she was related to such a…bitch! Diva’s bright sapphire blue eyes flashed before her, as she drank the blood from Riku’s young body. Saya moaned, before standing on her toes and vomiting over the side of the ship, the images too much for her to handle.

“Saya?”

Saya looked towards the speaking to see Hagi, standing there, tall, dark and silent as ever; the metal fortified cello case on his shoulder. “Hagi?” she whispered, wiping some of the vomit off of her chin.

“Are you all right?” he asked, setting down the heavy cello case. Saya nodded, before glancing out towards the endless horizon.

There was a strange silence between them, and it unnerved Saya. “Hagi,” she whispered.

“Yes?”

“Do you regret…or…wish I never shared my blood with you?” Saya looked down at the waves breaking besides the ship. “Do you hate me for doing that?”

Hagi’s eyes grew wide for a split second before relaxing. “Why do you ask?”

Saya glared at him for answering her question with one of his own, before she looked back at the sea. “I’m thinking about Riku,” she hung her head. “I’m not sure if I made the right choice. I feel like I was pressured by Kai to save Riku…and I think it may have been better if I should’ve just let his time expire instead of halting it forever,” Saya whispered. “So, that’s why I want to know, if you hate me…for turning you into a Chevalier?”

Hagi didn’t say anything at first, thinking about his answer. He wasn’t sure if he was upset with her for doing it; she did save his life. “No,” he replied.

Saya looked at him. “Why?” Saya looked away. “I’m a Chiropteran…a blood sucking monster.”

Hagi heard the bitter hatred for what she truly was in her voice. He set the cello case down and hugged her. He didn’t know what compelled him to do it; he just felt that she needed a hug. Saya blinked as she felt Hagi’s arms wrap around her and pull her against his chest. She steady beat of his heart echoed loudly in her ears. “You are not like Diva,” he stated firmly. Saya flicked her red eyes up at him. “You are gentle and kind, you care about those important to you. That is why you shared your blood with me,” he whispered. “Because you cared about me and you didn’t want to lose me. And that’s why you gave your blood to Riku, because you cared about him and didn’t want to lose him,” Hagi looked into her eyes.

“But are you happy? Happy to live forever?” Saya asked.

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Because, I get to spend eternity with you,” he whispered. Saya blinked. “Until you release me, until you no longer need me, I will be by your side,” Hagi said.

“Hagi…” Saya felt her cheeks burn. “Even when I’m asleep?” she asked shyly.

“Yes,” he nuzzled her forehead. “Even when you sleep, I’ll always be near and I will always wait for you,” he breathed.

“Thank you Hagi,” Saya whispered. “For everything.”

“Anything for you Saya,” Hagi pulled away from her and picked up his cello case. Saya smiled sadly, missing his warmth and turned her gaze back to the sea. Saya sighed, the smile never leaving her face. The sea seemed a lot less lonely with Hagi besides her.

And so it has ended.

First Blood+ fanfic ever! And I kinda like how it turned out. Takes place during uhm…the end of episode 25, while they are waiting for Riku to wake up after Saya gave him some of her blood.

And I just love Saya/Hagi! They were meant to be! Like totally! Kai/Saya…meh, I at first liked it, but I think Saya/Hagi make a better couple. Don’t spoil me please, I want to be surprised.

I oddly like Diva. Even if she’s a fucking annoying bitch. I like her. Curses for her having blue eyes! Blue is my favorite color! I also like her with Solomon. For some reason…I think they are a cute couple.
