Disclaimer: I do not own X-Men: Evolution, or any of those characters, but I do own mysterious girl character. Mwhahaha.
AN: Hey there. I don't quite know where this story is going yet, but it's nice to just let out all the crazy junk in my head. This is different from MnA in writing style (it's a ton more serious), but the character is sort of like Artemi, power wise. Though this time, I have no Elfowlgirl to tell me my limits. I can do whatever I want with this, and I'm liking it... :). Don't worry, Elfy. You're great, and I won't forget the MnA story. Maybe. So... let's proceed, shall we?
Chapter 1
To her, it was not simply a feeling. It was something, an animal, a beast raging inside her, tearing down her feelings, her inner self. It was a raging inferno, burning, twisting, erupting. Flooding. Controlling. Dominating. No matter how much she pushed it down, trapped it, kept it inside, it grew. It fought, threatening to explode.
She looked out at the people in front of her, playing, hugging. Laughing. Being happy.
Their laughter was a hammer, hitting the safe she kept it so tightly restrained in. She stayed, being normal, even though she knew she shouldn't. On the bench next to her, a couple lay in each other's arms. Slowly, they kissed, glowing with happiness. That was the final blow. It erupted, flooding her, blinding her.
Fury.
Pure rage.
Fiery anger.
Her life all replayed in front of her eyes. The orphanage, the running, the cold and hunger.
The destruction.
Everything she knew, she had destroyed. The buildings. The friendships. The bonds. The love.
The people.
The hearts.
Her.
The fiery anger, converted to power, rippled down her thrown out arms ash she stood, head thrown back towards the sky, tears of pure power, of fury, cascading down her face.
The storm of her anger ripped through the park, destroying everything, cutting short screams.
She opened her eyes, controlled now, and surveyed the barren wasteland surrounding her.
"No…" she whispered. She fell to her knees.
And she wept.
. . .
Professor X removed the Cerebro headgear, a pained look on his face. He turned to face Hank, who was waiting behind him. "Well?"
"We have ourselves another mutant," the Professor's gaze turned to the floor. "And this doesn't look good."
