~ Bucket of Blood ~

Carrie sat with Tommy Ross at her table. Carrie White the total outcast, with Tommy Ross for her date for her Senoir Prom. Carrie was a freak. She always tried to just sneak into a corner and be forgotten, but they always found some way to pick on her, weather it was her overly religious mother, her looks, or her weirdness.

But now, Carrie felt like she was on top of the world. She had the hottest boy in the year as a prom date.

"I've got the winners" Mr. Morton announced. "They are ... Tommy Ross and Carrie White!" Carrie's cheeks went red with embarrassment. Tommy chuckled.

"Come on" he laughed.

"Ok" Carrie agreed, smiling slightly as she stood up. Everyone burst into applause. Carrie's cheeks flamed even redder.

Her and Tommy began walking to the stage. Tommy helped her up on to the stage. They walked over to the centre holding hands and smiling.

Meanwhile, Chris Hargenson was hiding under the stage with her boyfriend Billy Nolan. She had been planning this trick for a week, since the incident where Carrie freaked out when she got her first period in the locker room. For taunting her, Chris and a lot of her friends got a week of detentions. Chris didn't go, so she got three days suspension and refusal of her prom tickets and it was all that brats fault. She held the rope with trembling hands.

"Just do it, Chris!" Billy whispered.

"Ok" Chris replied.

At the door of the school, Sue Snell was opening the door. She had to act fast! she had been told of Chris' plan to humiliate Carrie. They had killed a pig and put it's blood in a bucket and left it on a beam right above where the queen of the prom was going to stand. Then Chris had rigged the ballods so Carrie and Tommy would win.

She had to stop Chris from pulling the rope. She felt sorry for Carrie. She wanted to make up for it. She heard a voice coming from the inside.

"They are Tommy Ross and Carrie White!" Sue gasped. I have to get in there, she thought to ran inside the gym only to run into Ms Desjardin.

"Sue? What are you doing here? You know you can't be here without a date"

Sue wasn't listening.

"CARRIE!" she screamed. Carrie looked at her in surprise from the stage. She looked up and saw the ucket of blood starting to topple from the beam. She ran as fast as she could and pushed Carrie out of the way. Carrie looked at Sue in surprise before being shocked into silence as the blood fell on to the stage. Thankfully neither Carrie, Tommy or Sue got hit by it. Everyone looked in stunned silence at the three people on the stage.
