“Akaku, akaku, akaku… yurete.”

Sakura sang, twirling so that her pink tresses covered her eyes. At the word, ’yurete’, she pointed at her imaginary audience bringing her brush-microphone to her lips.

“Yume no yume no, hate~e.”

Her eyelids slowly closed as her pointing hand withdrew and snaked through her hair, the palm of her hand sliding down ‘till her neck, and her eyes being seen once more. A serious expression on her face as she breathed in for the next words.

“Anane na…”

The hand on her neck tightened as if to hide a vampire bite and she clutched her microphone hand to her heart.

“Ne…”

She pivoted.

“Na-eeeek!”

The sight of her team mates caused her to clumsily lose her balance and ungracefully fall onto her bed, face-first.

“Sakura-chan! Are you alright?”

“Mmhfp.” Came her reply.

“What?”

Lifting her head and avoiding eye-contact, a red-faced Sakura emerged from the blankets. “How much did you see?”

“When you were pointing at your underwear drawer, which by the way, is transparent.” Sasuke, obviously amused, said.

Another ‘eek” was heard and the girl hastily covered her drawer with her blanket.

…

“You sing good, Sakura-chan!”

Awkward silence…

Finally, looking at her team, she laughed nervously. Naruto was clutching his stomach, trying to keep himself from laughing out loud and Sasuke was smirking.

She continued to laugh a breaky laugh trying to make this situation less… weird. “Ummm…”

…

“We’ll leave so that you could get ready for training.”

A sigh of relief.

“Such an amazing finale,” Sasuke said which earned him a pillow being thrown at his head.

Naruto and Sasuke entered her room once again s she crawled around looking for her forehead-protector. “Sakura, hurry up.”

“I’m trying!” Her barely audible reply came from under the bed, “Can you help!?”

The boys searched. Naruto taking the left side, Sasuke the right. Teamwork sure helped a lot because Sasuke found it laying on her bookshelf. “Here.” He tossed it to her.

“Thank you, Sasuke-kun.”

“Sakura-chan? Can I borrow this?” Naruto waved the first volume of “Vampire Knight” in front of her.

“Sure…”

“Thank you!”

After tying her headband on, they jumped out of her window and walked towards the training grounds.

Flipping another page, Naruto asked, “Who’s your favorite character?”

Almost automatically did Sakura say “Zero.”

Naruto continued reading and then pointed at a picture of a boy wearing a black and white uniform. His hair white-ish/gray-ish with a tall, lean figure. “Him?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Because he’s…” She smiled, thinking. “He’s awesome! Protective of Yuki… She’s the main character… strong, brave… and hot… especially when he’s in “biting-mode.””

“Psh. He’s not real, Sakura.”

“So? A girl can dream.”

They reached the training grounds and Sasuke took the manga from Naruto, looking at this “Zero” character. “Isn’t this the guy on the poster pinned to your wall?”

“Is is n-not pinned! It’s…”

“Sakura: taped, pinned, glued… whatever. He’s just on your wall.”

“Maybe.”

“Wow, and I thought Sasuke’s fan girls were creepy.”

Sakura was about to retort before a sudden ‘POOF’ was heard and Kakashi stood behind them. “Yo.”

“YOU’RE LATE!” Sakura and Naruto yelled.

“Oh… well… I’m deaf,” He poked his ear with his finger, “Anywho! Naruto, we’re going to work on your chakra control. Sasuke and Sakura, you guys spar.”

“Yes…”

Sasuke and Sakura quietly walked over to a clear area for their spar, “Sakura, I won’t go too hard.”

The girl raised an eyebrow… Protective? Check. “Just don’t go too easy either.”

And so they took their stances.

Making hand signs, Sakura disappeared and reappeared behind him, diving for a punch. He swiftly pivoted and caught her wrist. She kicked, he grabbed. Pushing him away from her, she flipped over and ran up a tree. Sasuke stood there waiting for her blow. Sakura quickly created three clones of herself and hid them in different areas. She signaled them to throw weapons at him all at once. She cursed when it he turned into a log.

Locating his chakra, Sakura and her clones ambushed him. Sasuke activated his Sharingan, punched the fake Sakuras, and pinned the real Sakura to a tree.

She sighed. Of course she didn’t stand a chance. Strong? Check. He didn’t even look tired!

The boy was so close to her… was he brave? Check.

And hot? Damn straight!

Her eyes widened as he moved, his head tilting just a little bit.

Even if she knew he wasn’t going to bite her… Biting-hotness? DOUBLE CHECK!

“OH MY GOSH! SAKURA-CHAN! SASUKE-TEME IS A VAMPIRE!”

Dammit.

Way to ruin a moment Naruto.

After Naruto’s little outburst, they continued training. Kakashi took a chakra exhausted Naruto home. Leaving Sasuke and Sakura to walk alone. Together. Because as Kakashi said, “You shouldn’t leave a pretty girl to walk alone in the dark…”

It was silent and peaceful, the soft patter of their footsteps the only disturbance of the silence.

As they walked toward Sakura’s home, she side-glanced Sasuke. The truth is… Zero reminded her of him… He was definitely good-looking, protectiveness and braveness proven when he jumped in front of her to take the attacker’s hit… overall… he was just plain awesome.

Their footsteps stopped when they stood in front of her house.

“Well… bye.”

He nodded a farewell and turned to leave, “Sasuke-kun?” He looked back at her, “You should consider being a vampire for Halloween.”

Smirk.

Because you are my Zero.

Anyways. I haven’t been on lately because I have stuff to do.

We moved! Oh joy… and School is being bothersome. It isn’t enough to do class work but we have to homework? Seriously??

Sigh.
