The Life and Times of Amy Cahill
Chapter One
Amy Cahill, walked through the crowded airport. She huffed unhappily and sighed. She’d come a long way since the clues…since the Kabra’s had snagged the last clue. But, she and Dan had a couple more tricks up their sleeves. Ever since that fateful day that they had lost, she and Dan had been working harder then ever. Amy had grown up to be a brilliant actor, it turned out that acting was a good way to let out all her feelings. While, her little brother Dan had surprisingly ended up as her manager and “body-guard” of sorts. She smiled, and walked straight to the Starbucks. People started to snap pictures at her. She, of course was used to this. After years of being in the acting business, she knew how to keep her cool around the crazed paparazzi. She walked up to the cashier and ordered a tall, vanilla latte. Normally, she didn’t like to be caffeinated, but after several hours on the plane, she decided that a little caffeine never did any harm.
After several minutes of waiting she plopped down into a fluffy love seat and grabbed a magazine. She flipped through it nonchalantly, and waited patiently. “Can I have a tall black coffee,” she heard a strong voice ask. At that very moment, a lady called out her order. Suddenly, hoards of crazed fan-girls swirled around her to get to the man that had placed the order for a black coffee. She frowned, knowing how much she would hate having packs of fans surround her. Amy expertly, weaved around them all, to get to her coffee. When she finally arrived, the lady called out another order, “One tall, black coffee.” “That’s mine,” a polite male voice called. Amy grabbed her coffee and turned to see a pair of bright, amber eyes meet hers. She instinctively glared at the man, known to the world as Ian Kabra.
Ian’s POV
I weaved in and out through the masses of people, searching for Amy’s long, red-brown hair. I was just about to give up when all of sudden, I see a Korean man about 60 years old in a happy, lemon yellow suit. My eyes popped open, what was he doing here? Before I knew it I saw, the Starling triplets, Irina and Jonah. The wheels in my head began to turn. I spun around, looking for more ex-competiters, to see my sister face-to-face with Amy.
Amy’s POV
I needed to leave the airport as soon as I could. It was all to much to bear. My eyes began to search the signs for the nearest exit. When I turned around, I saw Natalie, she sniffed, “Long time, no hate, Cahill,” “S-s-same g-goes for you mini-Kabra,” I managed to stutter out surprised. I felt a strong hand grab my shoulder, Ian. He leaned down and whispered into my ear, “Amy, dear, we must get moving.” Before he could move me away, I stepped on his foot hard and ran, looking for Dan.
