"Damnit!" Christian spat as he dropped the empty bottle of Absinthe on the
floor. No more left. No more left so he could drown his pain away. So could
release himself from the raw cold pits of despair. No more left so he could
get her out of his head.
"Their not enough liquor in the world to get her out of your thoughts" a
voice in his head snicked. It was true. No matter what he did, no matter
Satine was always on his mind. Her smile, her voice, her smell.........her
lifeless body cold and pale on the golden floor. All these memories running
round and round nonstop. And it was slowly driving him mad.
"If only I hadn't put her under so stress......If only I had opened my eyes
and seen what was happening to her......"he broke off in uncontrolable
sobs. The felt the evil snake of guilt and grief had once again tighten its
grip on Christians heart. He made his way over to his cot and curled
himself into a little ball.
"Satine......Satine....." Christian whaled as if he were a small child who
had lost its mother. His cries slowly turned into mere whimpers and he
drifted off into sleep.

Watching him like this was hell. Watching what his world had become a
whirlpool of Absinthe and agony. It was far too much for her to take.
She had watched over him every night and day since her death. Always trying
to break free of the spirit world and come back to the land of the living
to soothe his cries. But it never worked. No matter how much she spoke to
him or caressed him, he would never be able to no she was there. Suffering
with him.
Satine crossed the dank flat and made her way to Christian's bed. She sat
down at the conor of his bed and began stoke his dark hair.
"Christian........my love.....what are you doing to yourself? She cooed to
him softly as she brushed away a crusted tear on his stubbly cheek. "You
have to keep going Christian......you have to keep on living. I know you
feel as if I have left you just because I am no longer in your world. But
that's not true Christian. Not even death could keep me from being with.
Even though you may not see me.......I'm always near Christian."
Christian's face had look comfort by her words as if somehow he had been
listening. *At least I have given him some comfort*
Slowly she bent her head and kissed him. "I love you always and forever"
With that Satine slowly faded away backdrop of Christians flat.
Once Satine was gone Christian eyes fluttered open. He looked to the spot
here she had sat and smiled. "And I will love you, Satine, always and
forever"
"And there's no mountain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
But I love you until the end of time"
