The Omen

"Gibbs!" Abby exclaimed as she dragged him into the elevator.

"Abby…!"

She stopped it.

"20 seconds! 15, 14…" She counted, anxiously. "…5, 4, 3, 2, 1…!"

She kissed him. He surrendered.

It went on…

And on…

And on…

"Happy New Year, Gibbs." She said finally, shyly.

"Happy New Year, Abbs." He smiled and kissed her again, more softly.

"I love you" escaped Gibbs' lips unconsciously. "I love you too…" followed from hers.

"Let's go home and… you know…" They both were startled and flustered.

"Yeah…" She whispered her answer.

So without another word, they held hands and went home, happily.
