A/N: I was writing an essay/journal thing for my English class and decided I wanted to give Hollyleaf something after her death. This is just her visiting Jayfeather and reminiscing the past.

Hollyleaf's Epilogue (based on book 6: Sunrise)
Hollyleaf sighed and looked into the lake before her. It had been almost a quarter moon since her death. She reminisced on all the good times she had playing with her brothers in the nursery, the excitement of becoming a warrior apprentice after her failed medicine cat duties, and her pride at becoming a warrior to aid her Clan for seasons to come, like her noble parents before her. Then she remembered the pain and sadness of knowing that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw were not her and her brother's parents. The anger when she found out that her real mother had broken two very important laws of the Warrior Code: 1) being a mother and a medicine cat and 2) having her mate be from WindClan.
Sighing once more, Hollyleaf stretched her legs, more out of habit from when she had been alive then actually having stiff legs. She was waiting for Jayfeather. Even though she was living with StarClan now, she could still walk among her Clan mates. Though she had never understood when she was alive, she understood his fascination of that old scratched up stick that Jayfeather obsessed over when he thought no one was watching. It had belonged to the cats of the lake before the four Clans occupied it. The old stick held a history Hollyleaf had only recently begun to comprehend. After waiting for a little longer, she heard rustling in the bushes and a few muttered curses.
Smiling knowingly to herself, Hollyleaf silently padded over to where her brother had obviously gotten stuck. A pang of sadness and guilt ran through her as she realized it had been her to help him out of thorns and brambles when he had gotten stuck while they were in the nursery. Even when he had taken her place as the medicine cat apprentice and she had taken his warrior apprenticeship, she still helped him whenever he was stuck. It angered her how she should be helping him now, not dead. Another shot of sadness and guilt jolted her once more. Everything that had happened, revealing her Clan's secret, trying to kill her own mother with death berries, committing suicide, it was all her fault.
A gust of wind ruffled Hollyleaf's fur and she saw Jayfeather stiffen. Something had startled him, which was unusual, even if he was blind. Then he muttered, with an obvious longing in his voice, "Hollyleaf." Hollyleaf realized that although he could not see her, Jayfeather could still smell her, happiness flooded her mind. At least he knew she was alright, not trapped in the tunnels where she had drowned. "I miss you, Hollyleaf," he muttered to himself, basking in the scent of his long gone sister. For the first time since she had found out that Squirrelflight was not her mother, Hollyleaf wanted more than anything to be alive and next to her fun, loving, adventurous, protective, and cranky brothers. She could see sadness etched into Jayfeather's face.
As Hollyleaf left her brother, she turned one last time and looked at him. It was as if he could see her, for only a heartbeat, as she said, "And I, you, Jayfeather," before turning around and not looking back.
A/N: Hope you liked it! R & R! : )
