Snake, they called me and they laughed.
Everyone hated me.
Venom was all they gave me and I gave it back.
Evil didn't have a hard time drawing me in.

Rot and depravity surrounded me and I changed.
Ugly on the inside and I didn't care.
Softness died and I couldn't care.
Still, the old revulsion surfaced, this time in my own mind.
