Dear Bella, Outtake: The One You've Been Waiting For
Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight.
EPOV
I was in Forks for a guys weekend.
Bella and I had compromised and found a house in Port Angeles to move to. Now I was only an hour from work and she worked from home most of the time, but every two weeks went into the office in Seattle. We had a system that worked for us and I couldn't have been happier. Emmett insisted we needed a weekend apart from our significant others so Rosalie and Alice were with Bella at our house. I had just put my bags in the guest room when I heard the front door open.
"Beer's here, bitches!" Jasper yelled.
"It's about time," I said as I walked down the stairs. I took one of the bags from him and went into the kitchen.
"Hey, Jas," Emmett said from the deck where he was grilling steaks. "Could you bring one out for me?"
"Sure thing," Jasper answered, getting one for each of us while I put the rest in the fridge.
"So, Em, why the need to spend a weekend alone with us?" I asked my brother as I stepped outside. Jasper was already sitting at the table drinking his beer.
"I needed to get away from Rose."
"What? Why? Are you two having problems?" Jasper asked.
I knew the real reason why he needed time apart but since I technically wasn't supposed to, I kept my mouth shut.
"No, nothing like that. You two have to swear not to say anything." Once he had our promises he dropped the bomb. "Rose is pregnant, we're having a baby!"
"That's awesome news!" I got up to hug my brother and faked astonishment because Rosalie had called me right after they'd found out.
"Congratulations," Jasper said, also giving Emmett a hug. "Then what's the problem?"
"Her hormones are like, all over the place. I haven't been able to do anything right in two weeks and she won't let me touch her. I was hoping a weekend with her friends would help."
"You can't send her away every weekend though, so you'll need to learn how to handle it," I said, taking the barbecue fork from Emmett.
"Thanks, Dr. Phil. I'm aware of that."
Emmett sat down as I manned the grill. I knew that Rose was having a tough time with morning sickness and that her mood could change at the drop out a hat. I felt bad for my brother and did try to get her to lay off of him but it hadn't helped.
"Anyhow, I figured I may as well have some fun with my boys while she's away. It's been forever since we've been out, just us."
"Are you sure that her hormones aren't rubbing off on you?" Jasper teased.
"After dinner and a few more beers we're hitting the bar," Emmett said.
)O(
It was crowded in the bar but since we knew the owner, Mike, there was a table reserved for us. I swear Emmett must have called every guy we knew to come hang out. It was like our high school reunion. We were having a great time until I saw him walk in and take a seat at the bar. He was with a few of his friends that I'd recognized from that day on the rez.
"Fuck me, do not tell me Jacob Black just walked in," Emmett said from his seat next to me.
"What?" Jasper asked, whipping around in his chair. "That motherfucker," he said once he spotted him.
I was up and out of my chair before either one of them could say anything. Jacob Black had been the only dark cloud hanging over my relationship with Bella. Sure, I was proud of her for the way she handled seeing him again but if I was honest, I wanted to be the one to hit him. I knew it was just macho bullshit, the urge to protect her, but I wanted her to know that I would do anything for her.
"Hey, Edward," Eric Yorkie, a friend from high school and one of my best customers, said just as I reached Jacob.
"Eric, how you doing?" I asked, turning my back toward the bastard so he wouldn't see me.
"I'm good. The deal went through for the office complex and I'll be needing your help," he said.
"Congratulations! That's great news. Just call the office on Monday and we'll set up a meeting."
"Great, see you later," he said as he walked away from the bar.
I stood there for awhile. I could hear Jacob's conversation and when he mentioned Bella I was all ears.
"I'm telling you, Bella's the biggest bitch," he said to his friend. My hand curled into a fist. "And don't even get me started on how she was in bed. I had no choice but to look elsewhere."
"Dude, that's cold. She's a good girl." At least I wouldn't have to kill the friend.
"Well, she may be a good girl, but she wasn't good where it counts. Not to mention that she practically caught me so many times and I managed to fool her. It was like she was begging me to keep doing it."
That was it. I turned around so quickly he barely registered who I was before I grabbed him by the shirt. I was finally face to face with the prick that broke my Bella.
"You have no idea the mistake you just made," I said before pulling back my right arm and letting my fist fly into his jaw. The cracking sound it made was music to my ears and he fell on the floor. I picked him up by his arm and started to make my way toward the front door of the bar.
I didn't have to turn around to know my brother and best friend were right behind me.
The parking lot was packed with cars but there wasn't anyone to witness what was about to happen. Jacob struggled to get out of my grip and it only made me squeeze harder. Throwing him against the wall of the bar, I jammed my forearm under his neck.
"I've wanted to do this since I found out what a piece of scum you are, but for Bella's sake I didn't," I told him as the anger in me rose. I moved my arm to his chest and held him as I took another swing.
"What's the matter? You couldn't stand to hear the truth about her? She's blind, man, you should be grateful you can have someone on the side," Jacob said, wiping the blood from his nose.
"Dude, hit him again," Emmett egged me on. So I did. There was a certain satisfaction to hearing someone hit the ground.
"If I ever hear you talking like that about her again, I'll fuck you up even more. If I ever see you near her, you'll be eating your meals through a straw for weeks. Do you understand?" I asked, standing over him. All he could do was nod his head but it was good enough for me.
"Hey, what's going on over here?" I heard a familiar voice call. "Jacob? Oh this is too good to be true," Leah said before she kicked him in the family jewels. "That's for my sister, you son of a bitch."
She turned around and smiled at me before giving me a big hug.
"C'mon guys, this round's on me," she said, leading us back into the bar.
Hope you enjoyed it!
