The inner monologue of a Shinigami
by iFluffRaver (helped somewhat by xXMidnightWingsXx)
And then the Shinigami flew home and lived happily ever after.
Well, as happily as a Shinigami can live.
Doing nothing but staring down to the less-than-interesting human world while gambling to the point where even the most addicted human with a gambling problem would get bored.
What a life, hey?
Looking at these ugly mugs all day, every day.
Not able to do any work for fear of being ridiculed by the only thing that you can call – sort of – a 'friend'.
If I could, I would die of boredom.
I want some apples.
Oh no, here come the handstands.
Damn, I could really do with some apples right now.
Nothing but Shinigami apples up here.
Man, they taste bad.
I'm tired of playing poker.
I tried to lose my whole life on purpose once.
Maybe I'll have a look down at the human world again.
Nothing exiting happening here, anyway.
There's no harm in looking.
So, it got a lot more boring since Raito died, eh?
So, nothing much happens down there either.
Cloudy, might rain.
Hmm... déjà vu?
Hah, high school students.
That brings back memories.
Hey, look at that girl.
Those guys just stole her bag.
Now they're throwing it around.
If our defender-of-the-needy, good old Raito was around, they would've been long gone by now.
You know what?
I think I'm actually feeling a little bit of regret.
No, I'm not, it was just passing gas.
He would have just been sent to prison anyway.
No more fun for Ryuuk.
I 'accidently' dropped my note book.
Hope that girl doesn't pick it up.
Oops, too late.
So maybe the fun isn't over yet...
... After all, humans are so interesting.
NOTE: This drabble had no point whatsoever. It was just the result of a very boring English lesson. Hah.
