Disclaimer: I don't own "Supernatural", sadly, but the boys are such a treat to play with…
A/N: My gratitude goes out to my awesome beta twinchaosblade who makes sense of my stuff, even if I don't.
A/N 2: Response to the Drabble Challenge by Enkidu07 and Onyx Moonbeam
All fellow players can be looked up on Enkidu07's profile page (the many, many names finally exceeded the drabble word count, hehe).
Prompt: use idiom(s)
Dean looks daggers at his father.
"You had that coming in spades, Champ," John Winchester smirks evilly.
"Don't 'but' me. There's nothing like a good training exercise in hand-to-hand combat to make you appreciate doing your homework more."
"I can finish off Sammy pretty good, Dad."
"This is not about Sammy but about you and me… the whole nine yards, sport."
The older boy's expression turns sour. "We might just as well keep that in mind until you're back from your hunt."
"What kind of an idiot do you take me for, Dean? Out in the yard in five!"
A/N 3: Happy birthday, Liv! I sincerely hope you had the best of days with family and friends to celebrate with you. I'm a week late but the well-wishes come from the heart, no less.
