So here is my newest 1-shot. It's really short and from Episode 3 - One Man Band. We are going to pretend that Walsh wasn't hooking up with Beaumont in this episode and that he and Casey already have an established relationship.
I own nothing. Nothing is Beta's. Mistakes are mine.
Please let me know what you think :)
Jason walked out into the diner to see his precious trophy and his girlfriend asleep on the bar. He smiled as he realized that she had gotten it back for him.
After they had gotten Stanwood back in custody, Casey had insisted that she had some other business to attend to and would see Jason later. He had agreed, having not slept much in the past couple days, and went home to his diner, Stage Restaurant, to catch a few hours before he had to be back to work.
He hadn't slept much, not use to the empty bed, and decided he would open for a couple hours. That was when he saw Casey sleeping at the bar. She must have let herself in sometime during the few hours he had been attempting to sleep.
He knew she was exhausted and had gotten less sleep than him that past few days. The light sound of her steady breathing almost made him leave her there but he knew her neck and back would ache if she were in that position for much longer.
He slipped one arm under her knees while the other cradled her back and lifted the light woman into his arms. She began to stir and opened her eyes just long enough to see it was Jason that had picked her up.
"I got your trophy back," she whispered, sleep still evident in her voice.
"Thanks." He replied with a smile. "Let's get you back to bed."
She briefly nodded and snuggled her face into his warm neck as he carried her towards his small apartment that connected to the back of the diner.
He sat her down on the bed and carefully removed her boots. She laid back against her pillow and unbuttoned her jeans, raising up slightly so he could pull them down over her hips.
Jason pulled the blanket up to cover her then leaned down to kiss her on the forehead. He turned to leave, thinking she was asleep but she grabbed his hand. "Don't go."
Jason conceded and took off his jeans and gray t-shirt. He went around to his side of what had somehow become their bed and got under the covers. Casey immediately snuggled into his chest, a smile on her lips.
Jason wrapped his arms around her and closed his eyes, deciding a nap would do him some good. "How'd you do it?" he asked, knowing she was still awake.
"Do what?" Casey asked, yawning, trying to stay awake for a few more minutes.
"How'd you get my trophy back?"
"If I told you, I would have to kill you."
Jason chuckled, "please?"
"Did you pay him off?"
"All about favors Walsh…remember? So no…but I can tell you to listen to KRBL around 2 tomorrow and you will find out." She yawned, turning around in his arms so that her back was pressed against his chest.
"KRBL? The radio station?" Jason asked, confused as to how this would answer his question.
"Yeah," Casey nodded. "My father owns the station. They are looking for a new afternoon radio host and auditions are being held for the person who does best on air."
"What does that have to do with my trophy?"
"Turns out that Shaw has a secret dream of ditching the force and being a star radio personality."
"Yep…wanted me to get him an audition. Can I please make out with my pillow now?" Casey mumbled, sleep already overtaking her words.
"Yeah." Jason smiled and kissed the top of her head. That's my girl. Guess I will have to find out a way to return the favor. He then snuggled closer to his already sleeping girlfriend and let the world drift away as he to surrendered to the sleep that had been eluding him for days.
Maybe Casey was the real trophy!!! So..what'd ya think?! Please review :D
