Asked Seldavia of 'Cry Hyrule' permission to use themes and ideas a while ago. (Yeah I know! It takes me two frickin' years until I start using the themes I ask to use! Get off my back!) because of all the messed up time line issues and shit it's hard to put the pieces together. Anyway as you can see I'm rewriting the story and changing the position of this story where it happens right after Heroes Across Time. Some Flash Backs featured will make more sense in the Unleashed/Remake of Heroes Across Time.

So It's Heroes Across Time (The Birth of a Legend-Ocarina of Time, The Fox, the Hero, and the Wind Waker-This should be Obvious, The Mask of Mayhem-Majora's Mask, and the Twilight Journey-Twilight Princess. ) I'm doing it this way as to not only show a connection between the time lines, but to show a connection, an explanation of finality in Ganondorf 'final' deaths in both time lines. The spirit Tracks and other games may be referenced or have character cameos, but the official plot lines will not be apart of Unleashed Canon.

Naruto and Link continued their travel up the mountain. Inhabiting Dragon Roost Island were a race of bird like people known as the Rito. A humanoid race of bird-like creatures born without wings which they retrieve from the sky spirit Valoo upon their coming to age ceremony. The Ritos ability to flight have them gifted with the ability to soar through the air and often skip the arduous task of traveling by ship, they often took advantage of this ability to be mail carriers.

They were easily distinguishable by their dark shaded skin with white hair, with the rare exception of pale skin and brown hair. Though a common trait is red colored eyes with the only known crimson eye Rito being the Chieftain with yellow eyes. Like many other races they had pointed along with other bird like features like a beak of varies sizes but oddly enough lacking talons like many bird species.

''This path is long!'' Link stated with a groan as they continued up the path.

''Yes...yes it is Link.'' Naruto remarked as they stopped before a wooden outlook. ''Hey...isn't that Quirk?'' Naruto asked as he spotted the Rito postman.

''Quill.'' Link corrected the blond who countered by giving him the bird.

There, leaning against the ramp was Quill, the postman. "Quill!"

Quill turned and smiled. ''Link? Link is that you? And Naruto as well. I'm pleased to see that you're both Okay. I must say. .. you've traveled far for ones without wings... And young Aryll? Is she...?''Naruto sighs and Link looks away from Quill.

'' Is that so? Well, don't worry too much. I'm sure she'll hang in there.''

''Speaking of which do you know anything about Din's Pearl?'' Naruto spoke up, getting back on track for the reason why they were there. ''We were informed that it might be with Vallo.''

''With Valoo? I'm afraid I have no idea of any pearl with Valoo. So why not meet our Chieftain. I told the other Rito about your plight. All of us Rito are very concerned. I'm certain the chieftain will befriend you and lend you the aid of our aerie.''

''Well it's better then nothing.'' Naruto agreed. If the rumors about Valoo acting weird had any truth to them then that could only mean one thing.

''It's settled, then! Go that way, you'll find the entrance to our domain over there." He pointed to a small cave entrance that was visible not too far away. "Just follow the path. I will go inform the Chieftain of your arrival. Though if you want help you must persuade him yourselves.'' The two nodded in agreement as Quill held out his arms, the feathers on his arms extending into large wings. He then took off and flew upwards.

It didn't take them long to arrive to where the Chieftain and Quill were. The former wore a gray robe that covered him from the neck down, and also wore a red ta-bard over the robe that had strange symbols on it. He had gray hair that was down to his shoulders, making him appear fairly old, and he was like any other Rito, having a large beak in the middle of his face. "So, you are Link and Naruto am I correct?" the Chieftain asked.

''Indeed.'' Naruto spoke for them.

''While we wish to aid you we are unfortunately troubling problems of our own. Please listen to my words. We of the Rito tribe are profoundly connected to the sky. We make our livings on the airways. We do so by the graces of the sky spirit, Valoo. When a Rito reaches adulthood, he or she journeys to the top of Dragon Roost to receive a scale from the great dragon. It is this scale that enables the Rito to grow his or her wings. Recently, however, the once-gentle Valoo has grown violent and unpredictable. Sadly, we can no longer approach him. If this continues, the fledglings who are of age will never be able to receive scales from Valoo on Dragon Roost. They will remain wingless, and in time, our very way of life will be threatened. As chieftain of the Rito, my first responsibility is to solve this problem. My apologies , but I must ask you to wait for our assistance until this is done. Will you do so?'''

The two blonds shared a glance. ''No offense sir, but we don't have that kind of time. Maybe we can help.''

''This is a Rito problem, not a Hylian problem." he firmly told them.

''It doesn't mean we can't aid all the same.'' Link said standing his ground courageously. ''Ever moment wasted is another moment my sister is in danger. Please...let us help.''

The Chieftain stared for a moment. "You'd be willing to risk your lives to help us?"

"Yes."

''Wouldn't be the first time for me or the last unfortunately.''

''Perhaps a test is in order.'' Quill remarked. '' What do you think of consulting the boys with regards to your son, Prince Komali? As you can see, Link and Naruto are gallant young lads! I feel certain that Prince Komali would open his heart and speak freely of his fears and worries.''

That may be...''Let me be direct. My son, Komali, is of the age to earn his wings... Yet.. . he is weak, in some ways... and in light of the current situation, he may just give up on ever getting them... What say you? Will you share some of your courage with my son? Will you meet with my son?''

''If that's what needs to be done then yes.'' Link nods head.

'' I thank you! We shall do our best to solve our problem as quickly as possible, so that we may better help you with yours. I have something I wish of you to give to my son. A female Rito by the name of Medli is holding it for me. Will you find her and take it? I am counting on you'' The Chieftain pointed to a cave passage up on a higher level. "Get the letter and deliver it to my son, who is over there." He then pointed to a passage behind him.

After being given the delivery bag the two made there way to where Medli was. Entering the passage the two found themselves in a rather squared-off room that looked something akin to an office with a desk and other furniture.

''Oh! You're the one from before!'' the female voice spoke. The female Rito's hair was pulled pulled back in a ponytail. She wore a dark blue, short-sleeved dress which was then covered in part by a tabard, much like the Chieftains, though having a few different designs. She was fairly well developed chest and hips. In her hands were a harp of some kind with the bottom made of gold, while it had long wooden pieces that came from it, attaching to a silver bar at the top which held the strings to the gold piece.

''Oh right...I was such a hurry we never exchanged names.'' Naruto sheepishly remarked as he rubbed the back of his head.

Link looked between Naruto and Medli and sighed. He wasn't really surprised by this little development.''Anyway we were sent by the Chieftain to retrieve the letter to sent to his son. I'm Naruto by the way.'' he said as he took the girl's hands. ''Though I'm hoping our business doesn't have to end there.''

''Charmer I see...'' she remarked with a giggle.

Link cleared his throat, breaking them out of their thoughts.

''Oh that's Link!'' Naruto dismissively remarked.

''Anyway about that letter...let me see.'' she said as she scrounged through the papers on her desk. ''Aah here we go.'' she said as she handed Link the letter. ''I'm hoping you two succeed. I'm actually suppose to be the attendant to the great sky spirit, Valoo, but I'm still studying.''

''You'll get there soon.'' Naruto assured her.

''Actually...there is a favor I like to ask, would you mind meeting me as the entrance at the Dragon Roost Caverns after you help the Prince? Just head to the passageway right under this one.''

''Sure no problem...'' Naruto agreed much to Link's ire.

''Thank you...'' Medli said with a grateful grin as the two blonds were directed to where Komali was.

''Naruto, not that I don't want to help people, but we can't continue wasting time.''

Naruto let out a small sigh, ''If there is anything I learned Link then we're going to go through a bunch of temples, fight some demons, and go around collecting some random shit before we even get a chance to save your sister and yes, I am talking from experience.

''A letter? From my father?'' Komali asked in surprise after Naruto ignored his shouts of go away and barged in. As Link was talking with the boy Naruto was noting all the expensive drapes, decorations, and other nice things and wondering if he could steal any of this without anyone being none the wiser. Damn boy with his white tunic and blue pants.

'' Oh, sure, telling me to be brave is easy enough for him... It's not like he's the one who went through that horrible experience.. . It's not like HE still has to go get a scale from Valoo.''

''So how does this ritual go?'' Naruto asked as he ran his fingers along one of the drapes. ''Oh...nice material.'' he mumbled as Komali told them that the normally peaceful Valoo who willingly gave them scales was basically pissed off now and would attack anyone that got close to it. ''You're in this letter, too , you know... Poking your nose in other people's business... You're nosy, aren't you? Sorry, but I really don't feel like going to see Valoo right now. I mean, how am I suppose to get a scale from him when he's so upset?''

''What if we show you how a man does it and go and confront Valoo ourselves?''

''What...no?'' Link's The Happening like reaction though was ignored like usual when Naruto volunteered them to go through some crazy or dangerous shit.

''What? Are you trying to tell me the at YOU two can calm Valoo down? Psssssh! That's just a big, fat lie! It's easy to SAY you can do anything! Bragging doesn't cost a thing! I'll tell you what! If you can find me someone who can get past all the obstacles on Dragon Roost to get to Valoo... THEN I'll listen to anything you say!''

''You're on...will face that ferocious and powerful dragon-like spirit god or whatever he is. Come on Link.'' Naruto grabbed Link's wrist and dragged off the boy in green who was stuck on the words ferocious and dragon.
