Title: Worst

A/N: My attempt to try and figure out how and why Chuck could do what he did to Blair in 3-17.

"One night with Blair. Just one night, and the Empire is yours forever," Jack said. He fell silent to let Chuck think it over.

Chuck's thoughts were chaotic, as were his emotions. He loved Blair, and the thought of letting his uncle touch her sickened him. But the idea of losing the Empire… If he lost it the Bass Industries Board of Directors would never trust him with Bass Industries when the time came. He'd lose both the Empire and Bass Industries.

He remembered Blair manipulating him into kissing a guy so she could give a stupid speech. He knew this was so much worse than a kiss, but the stakes were also incomparably higher. A speech versus an Empire. He'd eventually understood and forgiven her. Surely she'd eventually understand and forgive him…

Her voice echoed in his head.

'We're Chuck and Blair. Blair and Chuck. The worst thing you've ever done, the darkest thought you've ever had, I will stand by you through anything.'

This was definitely dark. Pitch black. The worst. But she'd promised to stand by him through the worst.

He knew he could just ask her. She'd agree. She'd do it for him. It wasn't as if she hadn't willingly slept with Jack before. The thought poured acid through his veins and his decision was made.

But Jack wouldn't buy it if she was willing this time. She had to be genuinely reluctant. And if she'd do it if he asked, surely manipulating her into it wasn't that much worse than just asking…

Oh, he'd have to work to make it up to her. But he was willing to do that. He'd do whatever it took to earn her forgiveness.

"Okay," he said in a choked voice, hating himself as he never had before.
