A/N: Okay, so this is number three on the 10_Snuggles challenge! The theme this time was "pillow", and I tried to squeeze the pillow in there at least a few times but you know how I do :/ Anyway, apparently not just Cloud, but Sephiroth too is a favorite victim of mine, lol. Ah well, life goes on. ;) Enjoy, you guys!

Warnings: Boys kissing, sexual references, nudity, you know, the usual.

Disclaimer: I own Final Fantasy VII :| watchu gonna do now? (jk I don't sorry Square-Enix for slandering your name like that, etc)

Language Barriers

Sephiroth eyed the line of natives on their knees bowing to him. Okay, he could roll with this.

"Seph," Zack frowned from behind Sephiroth, covering Clouds eyes from the scantily dressed natives, "What did you do?"

What did Sephiroth do? He had been sent on a mission with a backup of Zack and a cadet of his choice (Cloud) to explore a newly discovered island off the coast of Wutai and make allies with the natives. When the helicopter had crash landed (thanks to Zack) at night, Sephiroth had been less than pleased, until they found themselves in their current situation.

Sephiroth frowned once he realized that Cloud had gotten out of Zack's hold and quickly pulled his boyfriend to him, effectively shielding Cloud's line of vision using his leather coat. Cloud mumbled something and tried to break free but quickly stopped when he heard the chanting begin.

When the chanting first began, he couldn't understand what they were talking about, that is until he began to focus. Soon the natives' serpent-like language began to make sense, to the point of Sephiroth being able to understand the tribal chanting. In fact, a few words in particular stuck out; a couple of them being "Our God has returned".

Sephiroth liked the sound of that.

By this time little Cloud had poked his head out of Sephiroth's jacket and pointed to something off in the distance, "Seph, is that you?"

Sephiroth and Zack aimed their attention in the general area of what Cloud was pointing at, to discover a mountain carved ornately to look like someone; more specifically, Sephiroth.

A cruel smile crossed Sephiroth's lips and he found himself walking along the trail of natives with Zack and Cloud running behind to catch up.

"I think this is really not helping Seph's ego problem," Zack muttered after the two had caught up to Sephiroth.

Sephiroth glared, and suddenly Zack realized that the entire island's population was glaring at him.

"Uh, Seph?" Zack looked around nervously, "A little help?"

The General looked around at the natives before smiling at Zack and continuing walking towards the now visible building on the island.

The natives immediately began cooing over Zack and smiling at him, making sure to let him know that they were happy with him.

"Doesn't this freak you out, Spike?" Zack asked, looking at his younger friend who was desperately trying to keep up with Sephiroth's long strides.

"Nah, it's kind of like being in a Silver Elite meeting."

"Ah," Zack looked confused, "Wait, what?"

Sephiroth stopped suddenly (which led Zack to bump into him) when he saw what lay ahead. The building was a small throne room decorated with all sorts of precious metals and jewels, with of course the throne in the middle of the room.

Sephiroth plunked himself down in the seat with far more ease then he should have had, and watched as Zack and Cloud awkwardly tried to find room in the hall while the natives gathered around Sephiroth expectedly.

Finally, one of the bolder natives spoke up, "Who is he?" the boy pointed to Zack.

It took Sephiroth a moment to find the right words in this odd language, but finally he managed to hiss out what he hoped was correct, "Zack is a friend of mine."

There were oohs and aahs all around and some of the native women began petting Zack's hair or eying him.

"Is he a god, too?" A girl asked.

To be fair, Sephiroth really did think about his answer. He finally decided not to help Zack, as revenge for crashing the helicopter in the first place, "No." the words slithered from his mouth and suddenly the females around Zack stopped touching him and looked almost disappointed.

"What did you say to them, Seph?" Zack asked, disappointed himself.

"Nothing." Sephiroth was enjoying this little power trip far too much.

Well, he was enjoying himself, before he saw some of the natives eying Cloud with a look that he definitely didn't like.

"Who is this?" The boy from earlier pointed at Cloud, who was slowly inching closer to Seph and away from the natives sketchy looking gazes.

Sephiroth tried to find the word for "boyfriend" in his new found vocabulary, but found that there didn't seem to be such a word in this language—so he went for the next best thing.

"Cloud-my bride." Or so he thought. The natives stared in aw at Cloud, and a few of the female natives in the back squealed.

Cloud began to twitch nervously with all of the sudden attention on him, "S-Sephiroth? What's going on?" he asked as he was suddenly picked up and placed on a large pillow, "Um, what are you guys doing?" He asked the female natives, who were cooing and playing with his hair as they carried him off.

Sephiroth frowned, and turned to one of the natives with a questioning glance.

"They are getting him ready for the celebration." The native supplied helpfully.

"What celebration?" Sephiroth asked, "Cloud must not be harmed, or I will abandon your people."

There were a few gasps in the room, and the native quickly corrected himself, "No, no harm will come to him. We are preparing for the wedding!" The excited whispers started up again, and Sephiroth turned to Zack momentarily.

"They want me to marry Cloud."

Zack scoffed, "More like you want to marry Cloud."

Sephiroth frowned, "I'd have no qualms with it normally, but Mrs. Strife—Cloud's mother—would probably try and murder me if I did. And while I could probably take her on seeing as she's about 5 feet tall, Cloud would probably be upset."

Zack frowned and played around with his PHS for a moment, "This is a problem. We'll be stuck here until late tomorrow according to Tseng, and playing along with the natives' customs is the best way to keep them on our side."

"Zack, they think I'm a god, I doubt they'll—" Sephiroth was quickly cut off by Zack.

"Yes, but how long will they think you're a god if you don't do what gods are supposed to do?"

Damn. When did Zack get so smart? "Fine, what should I tell them?"

Zack shrugged, "Tell them you're already married."

Worth a shot, "Cloud and I are already married," Sephiroth told the native, "So there is no need for a ceremony."

The still remaining females swooned, and Sephiroth was sure if they lived in Midgar they would have joined Silver Elite ASAP.

"Have you participated in the mating ritual?"

Sephiroth frowned, he was definitely not doing that ceremony in public. In private however…

"Yes." Sephiroth's lips curled upwards, and Zack was starting to worry about this whole situation.

"Is he with child?" Sephiroth blinked. Well, that was unexpected.

It wasn't like he could fake that one though, "No."

"Then we shall prepare him for that. Be fruitful, Great Sephiroth, so that your genes may take over the planet like She wills it." Unfortunately for Sephiroth, he missed the last part of the native's dialogue in favor of wondering what the hell those natives would be doing to Cloud.

Zack gave him a questioning look.

Sephiroth rubbed the bridge of his nose between his thumb and forefinger, "Apparently gods are supposed to be able to make boys pregnant."

"Dude," Zack held a look of utter seriousness on his face, "Cloud is so boned… literally."

Sephiroth groaned.

:::

Cloud giggled as the paint brush left dots across his skin. This was fun and all, but he was starting to miss Sephiroth and Zack. Yeah, it was definitely time to start heading out.

"Excuse me," Cloud looked at the girl who was braiding feathers into Cloud's hair, and when that didn't work, turned his attention to the girl who was painting a ring of dots around his bellybutton, "But I've got to go, I think Sephiroth is probably worried and all—" the girls stopped when Cloud said 'Sephiroth' and began talking amongst themselves.

Cloud frowned, well, that didn't go over well. Soon enough, however, Cloud was placed back on the pillow and carried through the night back to the throne room by the natives—damn they were strong! On the way to the small hut of a throne room the villagers had apparently set out torches that lit the way along the path. He smiled at the feel of the heat from the flames brush against his skin before it hit him.

His skin.

Those village girls hadn't given him back his clothes.

Well, this was embarrassing. Then again, (Cloud looked around at how little the natives wore) maybe not. After all, this island was extremely hot even at night, and the lack of clothes was almost welcoming. Especially with the over clothed cadet uniform he was forced to wear all the time.

Cloud frowned, he was happy to be out of his clothes. Wasn't there a word for people like that? Oh right:

Nudists.

Well, Zack was always telling him to try new things. And if Sephiroth was a good boyfriend then he would love him no matter what!

Feeling elated with his newfound life motto, Cloud excitedly jumped from the pillow he was being carried on and ran the rest of the few short steps to the hut turned throne room.

"Sephiroth!" Cloud leaped the last few bounds into Sephiroth's arms and was met with a gasp from the tribe members currently still in the throne room. Cloud wasn't sure whether they gasped because he just tackled their god, or because he wasn't still on the pillow like he was supposed to be.

Zack was probably gasping for another reason, though.

Seeing Zack about to take out his PHS to use for blackmail Sephiroth quickly took of his own leather duster and laid it on Cloud's shoulders before wrapping it around the blond, "Cloud… why are you naked?"

Cloud frowned and felt his lower lip jut out, "I don't know Seph, but I think I like it. I think I'm," his voice dropped to a whisper, "a nudist."

Sephiroth took a moment to let the situation sink in, "Cloud, you're not a nudist, you're just hot,"

Cloud blushed, "Aw, Seph—"

Sephiroth rolled his eyes, "It's scorching out. But…" Sephiroth eyed what still remained showing on Cloud's person now. Sephiroth had fastened the duster so it showed only a bit of his chest, neck, face, and legs... All complete with those decorations that the natives had put on him. "Cloud is that a feather in your hair?" Sephiroth reached out to pluck the brightly colored motif before realizing that while the natives were leaving (and dragging Zack out with them) a couple of the females were glaring at Sephiroth. Okay, so even though he was their god, apparently no one liked having their hard work undone like that.

Cloud raised an eyebrow, "Seph, why is everyone leaving?"

Mrs. Strife was going to maim him. "Cloud, the natives think it's about time we took the next step in our relationship."

Cloud tilted his head in confusion, "Huh?"

Oh Gaia, Sephiroth would be having mother in law nightmares for weeks.

:::

Several weeks after Sephiroth, Zack, and Cloud had been rescued from (as Zack had dubbed it) "Sephiroth Island", Sephiroth was still receiving calls.

Sephiroth frowned and stopped his nibbling of Cloud's neck when the teen's PHS started ringing some obnoxious pop tone that Zack had been bursting out in song with lately.

"Cloud," Sephiroth pleaded, stroking the blond's hair, "Please, no."

Cloud frowned, "Seph, you don't know that it's her, I mean come on," Cloud picked up the phone and almost instantly pulled it away from his ear to avoid the woman screaming on the other line, "Uh, it's for you."

Sephiroth groaned, but conceded and put the ShinRa brand phone by his ear anyway, "Hello, Mrs. Strife."

Sephiroth idly listened to the threats of how the petite blond was going to castrate him before deciding that he'd rather be paying attention to his blond instead. He resumed his trail of kisses but was stopped when Cloud started giggling.

"What." Sephiroth practically growled.

Cloud tried in vain to make his laughter subside, "I can't believe a so called god is scared of my ma."

Sephiroth considered defending himself, but then decided it would just be best to tell the truth. "…Shut up."
