"Fireman's carry," Sam snaps. "Bathroom."

Dean doesn't bitch about it. Doesn't even blink. He sways on his feet when Sam puts him down. Sam's fully clothed as they stand underneath the shower spray. Dean's dazed by fever, roasting inside his own skin.

Dean closes his eyes, leans into Sam as cool water washes over them both.

Short thin scar at the back of Dean's neck, clawmarks inside Dean's right bicep.

Sam sees more scars. New ones.

It's more evidence of four years apart. Proof of so many miles they didn't travel together.

I'm here now, bro'. Sam thinks. I'm here.
