A.N: Sorry if anyone was hoping for another chapter, but I had to edit this one first, once I read over it and saw the mistakes I made. I hope you enjoy :D
Artemis POV
"Yara Angeline Fowl, get out of your room right now, young lady!" I shout sternly from the bottom of the stair case at the Fowl manor. She bolts down the stairs and, as usual, slides down the banister, leaping off at the bottom.
"Dad! Calm down! I was only talking to mum; I haven't seen her for a whole month now," she huffs at me.
I look my daughter defiantly in the eyes. "You know that you shouldn't be bothering her right now, she's on a very important mission for the LEP and you could've blown her cover." She, to my annoyance rolls her eyes at me, looking freakishly like her mother.
Her mother, of course is Commander Holly Short. Even though my daughter is half-fairy she has the appearance of a human, save her eyes. One eye is an icy blue, while the other is a beautiful hazel.
She has all of the same powers as a fairy, but she doesn't need to do the ritual. Her powers get rejuvenated every month and it just happens to fall on her, uh...time of the month, if you know what I mean.
I, the infamous Artemis Fowl II, now have a daughter, a daughter who can perform magic and is commonly called a witch or wizard. I am one as well because of that fairy magic that I stole when I was younger.
I am, without my daughter knowing, going to teach at the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry as the Muggle studies teacher for this year.
Yara is in her sixth year at Hogwarts and is in the same year as the famous Harry Potter and his friends. She is also in Gryffindor and is part of 'The golden quartet.'
She was with Harry every step of the way over the years and he's even been over a few times. He's a nice kid and he's smart, but not as smart as Yara, of course.
Yara POV
Dad stares me in the eyes and I stare right back. "Mum is too good to get her cover blown dad, plus I hacked into the LEP files and found out her schedule, so I know that she can't blow her cover!" I explain to him. Does he really think I'm that thick to just call her and blow her cover?
"Oh and I also found out her mission, by the way, she's been spying on Voldemort she is currently working at the Ministry of Magic," I say, as quickly as possible. As soon as I'm done, I bolt back up to my room and to my beloved owl, Bernadette, or as I like to call her, Bernie, before dad can comment.
I quickly scrawl a letter to Ron, Harry and Hermione, asking if they want to sleep over tonight so we can all catch the Hogwarts express together.
"Dad!" I call down the stairs, "Yes, Yara?" he calls back. "Is it okay if some friends sleep over tonight?" I call again, "Yes, of course darling, but remember that Juliet is coming over tonight and so are Myles and Beckett."
Oh yeah, Ron will love my uncles, they're hilarious. They are only around five years older than me, so they are more like cousins, or older brothers. When I turn back to my window, Bernie is sitting there with three reply letters. How did she get back so fast?
Oh, well, she always does that; I should be used to it by now. I open the first letter from Ron; 'Hey Yara, my mum said yes and I'll be there in a few hours.'
I open Harry's next; 'Hiya Yara! Thank you so much for asking, I really need to get away from all of this commotion round here! I'll arrive with Ron.'
Last, but not least, I open Hermione's, it reads; 'Hello Yara, I'm definitely going to come, just give me a few hours :)' She's the only one who knows what :) means.
In an hour, I hop into the car with butler, the limousine, and we head for Dublin. We stop in front of the 'Dragon breath' pub to wait for Ron, Hermione and Harry, who should, by my calculations be arriving there by the floo network in precisely four minutes.
I run out of the car and into the Dragon breath pub exactly two and a half minutes before they arrive. I order three butter beers and as I turn around to face the fire place, I see green fire.
I smile coolly as my best friends emerge from the flames and wait expectantly for them to spot me.
Harry POV
I look around the pub, eager to meet up with Yara. I start to think that she's not there when Hermione squeals and runs to the only person, other than us, not wearing a cloak.
Yara is really pretty; she has long black hair, fair skin and amazing eyes. One eye is blue and the other is hazel. Oh and did I mention that she's a genius?
She is already at NEWT level for everything and I've heard that she's even finished her exams at Muggle School and at fairy school in Haven; even though she is supposed to be behind because of the amount of time she spends at Hogwarts.
She pulled me into a hug so tight that I could barely breathe. "Ca-n't b-rea-the" I managed to wheeze out. Just then a massive figure stepped into the doorway of the pub. "Yara, we need to get a move on if we want to get back home in time for dinner." She walked to the door and beckoned us to follow her into a sleek, black limousine.
"Whoa, this is bloody awesome!" Ron exclaims excitedly as he bounces on the lounges inside the car. He has never been to the Fowl manor, so this will probably come as a shock to him. I have been there before and so has Hermione.
It is massive and sometimes I wonder how they don't get lost in there. Ron, Hermione and I are the only three people other than Dumbledore, the Order of the Phoenix, Artemis' family, Butler and Juliet that know about the fairy world.
"So what have you three been up to lately?" Yara asks calmly, she always seems calm. Hermione launches into an explanation of her holiday and Ron and I give her a brief overview of our holidays.
"Hey guys, you can't tell anyone about this okay," Yara said, glancing at Butler, "You too Butler," she looked back to us. "I hacked into my mum's LEP file and I found out that she is in an undercover mission, spying on Voldemort." I can tell she is beginning to get a little angry.
"Why she chose to do that escapes me! She knows that Voldemort knows about fairies and yet she still puts herself on the line to see what he's up to!" She quietens down a little at that, she still feels guilty about Sirius' death; she's totally convinced that it is her fault.
Last year, at the ministry of magic towards the end of the battle, all of the Order was either unconscious or injured, except for Sirius, Artemis, Yara, Dumbledore and I.
While Voldemort was fighting with Dumbledore and me, Artemis was fighting five very experienced death eaters while Sirius was fighting four. Yara was fighting Bellatrix Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy and Fenrir Greyback.
She had managed to render Greyback unconscious, put Malfoy in a full body bind and was fighting Bellatrix. Artemis was knocked unconscious beside her and she cast a shield around him which took a split second, a split second was long enough for Bellatrix.
She got blasted all the way across the hallway with all the fire places in it. Bellatrix killed Sirius. Just as I thought we would lose, Yara's mother, Holly, showed up and her team of LEP officers rescued the Order of the Phoenix.
Ever since then, Yara has believed that it is her fault that Sirius is dead. "Yara, she's just trying to protect you, you know," Butler says softly. Yara sighs, "Yeah, but I hate how she always thinks that I cannot protect myself in any way...she still thinks I'm her baby."
I feel angry at her for a second; I mean she should be grateful to even have parents that are still alive. I suppose I should calm down though, Artemis has been trying to adopt me from the Dursley's, but the ministry is solidly refusing and even Dumbledore says that I wouldn't be safe if I moved to the Fowl manor.
I look at Yara, seeing now just how beautiful she really is. Her face is perfect and her mind ingenious, which could be a good thing or a bad thing. Voldemort has attempted to get her and Artemis on his side and since they've refused, he's had a grudge on them.
We pull up at the gates of Fowl manor and Ron's jaw drops to the floor. "That place is bloody massive, it is! Yara, you never told me that you live in a palace!" Yara laughed and it sounds like bells to my ears.
"Ron, my uncles, Myles and Beckett, are coming over tonight, so you have to behave and control you eating like a good boy, okay," she say in a serious tone.
"Yes, Yara," he replies obediently. Hermione and I look at each other and we crack up. Our laughing seems to be contagious and soon Ron, Yara and Butler are all laughing as well.
Yara POV
I jump eagerly out of the car and run into the house, the others following me. As soon as I step into the door way, I'm tackled by Beckett. Harry seems to be freaking out a little, so I shove Beckett off with my legs, do a Chinese get-up and pin him to the floor, with his arms above his head.
Butler and my mother had insisted that I learnt self-defence. Suddenly, someone jumps on top of me and I become sandwiched in-between Myles and Beckett who were laughing their heads off. "Get off of me Myles! Is that the proper way to treat your beloved niece?" I ask sarcastically.
After I roll out from underneath Myles, I took my friends to the room that we would be sleeping in (the room is set up specifically for sleepovers and parties). I sat down and begin to teach Ron and Harry how to play the 3-D games that Foaly sends me every fortnight.
Once the boys are totally distracted, I call up Juliet and I give Hermione an evil smile. "Oh, no, I know that look!" she squeaks, scared. We start giving Hermione a makeover. We walk her to the bathroom and I do her eyebrows while Juliet cuts her hair. I don't like make-up so everything has to look naturally nice.
We start waxing her and giving her a facial, not that she needs it, her face is perfectly smooth. I do the pedicure, while Juliet does the manicure. When we're done, it barely looks like Hermione at all.
I throw her some new clothes and we run back to the room while she showers. "Where's Hermione?" Ron asks, distracted by the game. "Oh, she's just in the bathroom, she'll be out in a minute," I reply cheekily.
When Hermione walked in the boys jaws practically hit the floor. "Wha-who are you and what have you done with Hermione?" Harry stuttered. I roll my eyes at them, "Gees, boys, close your mouths, you are going to catch flies!"
"That's better," I say when they close their mouths. "Now come on! Let's eat dinner!" I run out of the room and I jump onto the banister, sliding down all four stories.
I race to the table to see what the Butler has made. I smile as I see a bit of everyone's favourite's on the table, including my mango salad. I am a Vegetarian mainly because of the 'book', but also because I have read up on it and found out what meat actually does to your body.
When everyone has finished eating we walk back up to our room and sit on the beds. "Now I think we should-whoa," I stop suddenly as a wave of dizziness overcomes me. "Yara, are you okay?" I hear someone ask. I can't reply, my head is pounding, I hear my friends call out for dad, he'll know what to do.
Mum, that's the only thing I can think of, something's wrong. My dad bursting into the room is the last thing I see before I black out.
