My first fanfic... I'm kinda nervous. This story takes place after TLO. The only difference is that Percy and Annabeth never got together. Well, here goes nothing...

Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Chapter 1: The Meeting of Fate! Two Worlds Collide!

Alex's Point of Veiw

"Good morning, Alex!"

My eyes fluttered open as I quickly got up from my bed and blew off some of my auburn hair from my face. Next to me was my little sister Emily. She was about half my age with long black hair to about the middle of her back. She was still in her pajamas.

"What is it?" I muttered.

"Mom told me to wake you up."

"Fine." As soon as she left I felt like going back to sleep, but I went to my bathroom to get ready. Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Xemestris Sinoa. I know it's a weird name, so everyone just calls me Alex. I looked in the mirror as I brushed my teeth. My gold and silver eyes still shined even though I'm still half-asleep. I always wondered why I have gold and silver eyes, maybe I'll find out later. I went back to my room, got dressed, put my lucky, double-sided laser pointer in my pocket (Lucky because I never lose it), and went downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning." I said.

"Morning." Mom and Dad replied.

I sat down at the kitchen table and ate my favorite breakfast: bacon and eggs. I heard a bark from below. I looked down and smiled. It was our dog, Xander. I passed him a piece of bacon and he chewed on it like there was no tomorrow. My parents were thinking of naming him Alexander, but I didn't think it would work so well. I always loved animals and they always loved me. Even untamed lions from the field trip to the zoo liked me. Sometimes I can swear I hear them talking. I looked around the kitchen and saw my parents, Jacquelyn and William Sinoa, do their regular routine. Mom was fixing lunch and Dad was reading the newspaper. They're really my foster parents but I call them my regular parents since I known them my whole life. Actually I only known them for 6 years, but I had amnesia when I was 10. They had a pretty tragic life. They lost a lot of loved ones. They said that they never were happy 'till they met each other. Emily then sat next to me on the kitchen table. She was also my foster sister, but we treated each other like a real brother and sister. She was also adopted by our parents.

"Took ya long enough"

"What do you mean? It takes time to look good."

"You're only 8!" We kept playfully punching each other.

"Is that an excuse to not look good?" Can't question that logic.

"I guess not..." I looked at the clock and it read 8:30. "Time to go to school!" Me and Emily got up from our tables, grabbed our lunch and backpacks, and said bye to Mom and Dad. The bright morning sun shined brightly as we opened the door.

"Here's our first stop" I said as stood in front of Emily's school. "I'll pick you up later."

"Okay. See ya later."

"See ya." I then walked to my school, Goode High School. After going through 3 periods of being bored to death (AKA Math, Spanish, and Language Arts, it was all hard because of my dyslexia), it was finally almost time for lunch. But right before lunch, while I was talking to my friends, Nick and Sarah, our science teacher announced that we have a new student and said it was because of schedule change. He was at the front. He had messy, black hair and deep sea-green eyes. He had on an orange shirt that were hard for me to read but everyone was saying what's 'Camp Half-Blood,' so I'm guessing that's what it says.

"Where is he?" Nick asked. Man, what an idiot. It's obviously the kid in the front. Nick was pretty tall, about half a head taller than me and Sarah, and had pretty messy black hair. He had on a World War II jacket and long gray pants. He might be older, but he can be completely clueless.

"Right there." Sarah stated, pointing to the new kid. Sarah was blond, but she wasn't as stupid as most people thought. She was wearing her favorite pink shirt with a pair of jeans. Her gray eyes really compliments her. N-not that I would know. I felt my face feel a little hot after that last thought.

"Oh." Nick suddenly turned bright red from embarrassment as me and Sarah both laughed.

"My name is Percy Jackson," I heard about this guy. He was the one that got kicked out of every school he's been in. This is the only school that he stayed at for more than a year. He also made it to a few wanted posters, but was able to clear his name. "It's nice to meet you all." Could've fooled me.

It was finally lunchtime and from the corner of my eye I could see a lonely-looking Percy. Nick, Sarah, and I agreed we would sit with him to keep him company. It's never easy being the new guy.

"Hey Percy." I greeted.

"Oh hey guys" Percy said, still sounding unenthusiastic.

"Why are you so unhappy?" Sarah said in her usual peppy voice.

"I just miss my other friends." Percy was hiding his eyes under his black messy hair.

"Well, we could be friends." Nick suggested. "Right?"

"I guess so." Percy was thinking about it. "Sure, why not?" He said with a happier face.

"What do you have for lunch?" I asked.

"Can't you just look at my tray and see what I have?"

"I used to do that, but every time I did it they'd slap me across the face and say 'Stop looking at my food.'" I said as we all laughed.

"So what did you do to get a schedule change?" I asked curiously.

"Destroyed my teacher's classroom." He grinned mischievously.

"Nice!" I offered a high five and he high-fived back. He was getting happier by the second. We happily chatted for the rest of lunch and the rest of the day went pretty smoothly. I picked up Emily from school and she noticed I had a big grin on my face.

"Why are you so happy?" She asked as she laughed at my funny face.

"Is that a problem?" I said with a frown.

"No. But tell me anyway."

"Fine. I made a new friend today."

"What's their name?"

"Percy. Percy Jackson."

Several Months Later...

Percy, Nick, Sarah, and I were pretty good friends the past few months. We worked on projects together, did group work together, and pretty much just hang out together. Though the first two were pretty hard since we were all dyslexic. And now it's the final day of school. Our Latin teacher, Mr. Brunner, said that we could bring a weapon to school as long as we give to him first and not hurt anyone with it. I'm bringing DualShine, my favorite knife from my grandpa. Since he was a World War II veteran he taught me how to be a thief and a knife is a thief's essential , I named it DualShine. So what? One side was made of bronze, but it looked like it could be gold, and the other side was made of steel, but that looked like it could be silver. So I did my regular routine, ate breakfast, and left for school. I made sure that I put DualShine in a mini-scabbard because I don't want to hurt anyone. If I did that would be bad. I dropped off Emily from school and went off to Goode. I dropped off DualShine at 's class and waited for my last period of the day.

"So, what did everyone bring?" Mr. Brunner asked. is paralyzed from the waist down so he has to use a wheelchair. He had brown hair and curved down to his chin to form a beard. It was finally the last period of the day and there was a big variety of weapons. I wonder if the other teachers would freak out if they saw all this. I saw a lot of Greek and Roman weapons from 's closet. I know those aren't the class's weapons since shows us those weapons all the time. There were axes, swords, lances, and bows. I hope I don't die today. Then all of a sudden I heard some thumping near the windows.

CRASH!

Suddenly everything went up in smoke. I can hear my classmates running and screaming out the door. I could tell Percy, Nick, Sarah, and Mr. Brunner were still standing their ground. After the smoke lifted a figure appeared. It was a dog with black fur and it was the size of a tank.

So what do you think? Pretty good for a first try if you ask me. It took awhile though. Though to continue I want(not trying to be picky here) at least 3 reviews.

Next time on The Rise of a New God: Arrival at Camp! Mr. Brunner's a WHAT?
