Chapter 6

Ainhoa POV

Two weeks passed in a blur. Adam's pack was incredible, they remembered me of a very close family, but you could see some tension when Mercy sat on Adam's right during pack meetings. Something must have happened, I asked Warren but he didn't tell me. Yeah, it was definitely something with Mercy.

Surprisingly, Mercy and I discovered that we have some things in common like our temper, but me after all these years have a better control over it. Also, I found out that Adam's daughter was a doll, I totally adored her, even if she was a shopaholic.

"How is my sexy lady?" Ben whispered in my ear, as he entered to the kitchen.

"Great, but I am not yours, especially your sexy lady" I said punching him slightly on the arm.

"Oh, babe you're breaking my heart"

"Yeah, right" I smirked at him

"Stop, Ben. We all know that Ainhoa doesn't want you so stop bothering her" Warren told him and everyone on Adam's house laughed.

"Don't listen to them, Benny- bear" I said with my fake sweet voice and big puppy eyes "You will always have a place in my heart" Everyone looked at me shocked "As a very old bully brother" I added

"Hahahahahahahahahahaha"

"What's the problem with you guys?" Adam wondered as he entered to the kitchen

"Nothing, just the typical with Ainhoa and Ben "Darren said "But I still don't understand how you don't get upset with him?" he asked me.

"Hey" Ben said with indignity on his voice

"Nah, he is nothing I cannot manage" I said simply winking at him. He was a good guy and it was very funny to "fight" with him, but I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

"Stop it, kids. I have news to tell you" Adam told us "this weekend me, Mercy, Jesse and Warren are going to Aspen Creek to complete our mating ceremony, so Darren is in charge and Ainhoa would you like to come?"

"Yeah, sure. I don't see the problem" I responded

"And we could stop on the road and buy souvenirs for your pack and family" Jesse told me

"Course" I said smiling "That would be great"

On that weekend

We left Tri-Cities early in the morning, so we could arrive before noon. But during the trip, we stopped in every single town at Jesse's request to do some shopping. Honestly, Adam's daughter has a very serious problem. It was good that she had started working, because if not Adam would be in serious economical problems.

We traveled in Adam's SUV, so he was driving, Mercy on shotgun and Warren, Jesse and me on the back. I saw so many different towns, fields and things that sometime during the trip I felt sleep, exhausted and drained. I don't know how Jesse doesn't get tired and she isn't a werewolf.

When we arrived, Warren woke me up saying "We are here"

I looked over the window and saw a totally different town from Tri-Cities. In Aspen Creek, you could literally feel the nature, pure wind, well almost; it had very little pollution and not many houses. It was certainly a small town, our hotel was several cabins, mmm I like that, simple things.

It might not be logical that I like fashion, trends, going to new places, but I have always dreamt with having a simple life with a loving family. However, I am realistic and I know my responsibilities, I know that the risk of getting pregnant of too big for me and that sometime I'll have to be the alpha of my pack and I can't take any chances. My people need me.

It's good to dream, even if mine will always be that, dreams… never a reality.

Warren helped me getting down the SUV, he held me tighter as the cold wind welcomed us.

"Dad, dad, there is Bran" Jesse said pointing at three strangers walking toward us.
