''Emergency services, Which service do you require?'' the female operator asked down the line.

''Ambulance please'' replied Marty Mcfly trying to keep his voice even.

''What is your emergency please?'' a male operator said

''I need an ambulance please to the junction of Ruskin Road and Greenrose Hill. There's been a car accident.''

''Okay, An ambulance is on it''s way sir, please stay on the line. Is anybody in imediate-

''Never mind that, just get the ambulance here Okay?''

''What is your name, Sir? Are you driving?''

''God, I'm scared.'' said Marty without even knowing he was speaking.

''Please remain at the scene Sir. You need to stop driving.''

''Thank you.'' said Marty and hung up.

''As he closed his eyes and dropped the phone his foot accelerated the DeLorean faster and he neared the junction of Ruskin Road and Greenrose Hill praying that he hadn't gone mad.

Three days later when he woke up from unconsciousness in Bintely General Hospital, he was alone and it took him some time to gather his thoughts on what had happened. He was being fed oxegen and he could see tubes running all over the bed below him. He felt okay but he dared not move. He was in a bright room with no other patients but he could hear many voices close by. The first person he saw walking the corridor he tried to call out but his voice was cracked and muffled by the mask he wore over his nose and mouth. He pulled it off but the lady was long gone. Some time later when he woke again and not remembering falling asleep two doctors and a nurse stood over him smiling down. It took him some time to focus his eyes.

''Hello marty, Can you hear me alright?'' said the first doctor

Marty nodded yes

''Good, My name is Doctor Mulls, this is Doctor Gaffney and Nurse Bassett. How are you feeling?''

''I don't know, Am I hurt badly?''

Mulls Looked at Gaffney. ''No you will be fine. Do you remember what happened?''

''Yes I do,Just tell me the truth Okay, please Doctor.''

''Well Marty, If you really want me to tell almost died, You lost alot of blood from your leg. You have suffered third degree burns to your right leg and hip, three broken toes on your right foot and bruiseing. Nothing we can see so far is life threatening but you have been unconsciousness for the past three days which will mean further tests.''

He didn't like the sound of tests that might involve his brain but his head felt fine and he smiled up at the Doctors and nurse who all stared back.

''Rest now Marty, we will be back later'' said Gaffney as the nurse administered something into his left arm via a tube. He blacked out instantly and dreamed deep and long and strange.

Anya walked along the street glancing at her wristwatch and instantly picking up her pace. She desperately wanted to catch the very next bus to the hospital as she had just gotten word from the hospital that Marty was awake. She could barely contain her excitement at the news but at the same time she felt she might burst out crying at any moment, she had been worried he might not wake up. They had been going out for only three months now but she felt a deep connection with Marty that she knew she could never feel for another. But she would not tell him so for fear it would scare him away. And anyway she felt that he had similar feelings for her so what was there to discuss. she hoped that this news would bring an end to her worry and that things could go back to normal, but now she longed to talk to him and kiss and hug him.
