Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you

Welcome to my life- Simple plan

When I first developed my mutant ability at age thirteen I knew things would get worse before they got better. What I didn't know was how special my ability was. Well in the opinions of others, I on the other hand don't see how 'special' it is. All I see is the destruction it can cause and that is why I hide it. Call me a coward but you don't know what it is like. Or maybe you do but anyways I'm getting off topic.

I can control energy though I'm not sure exactly what kind of energy because there isn't any mutant power handbook. All I really know about it is whenever I use it the energy moved and looked like fire but it doesn't burn and it's dark red. Right now I can make a force field with it, throw small energy blasts, and if I surround an object in it I can move that object. It Took me forever to learn how to do that. Now I'm seventeen but I still blow up stuff when I get angry.

Well no one is perfect I guess.

I'm Allison Napier. I live in New York by myself and I don't stay in one place for to long. In a small way my ability actually gave some benefit to me; nothing about my appearance changed because of it. I still had the same brown eyes, dark brown hair which was long at the moment, slighty tan skin, and average slim figure.

I liked New York better than the other places I've been and I started to think about staying there for good.

That was until Col. William Stryker showed up with a proposition.

Wade Wilson was the last member of the X team to walk into the conference room. He came in whistling a happy song sitting next to John Wraith and across from the feral brothers. Once everyone was settled Stryker stood up at the head of the table.

"Nice for you to finally join us Wade," Stryker said looking through a file in his hand.

"Oh yeah sorry Col. Willy," Wade said putting his feet on the table. "I had a bat suck in the belfry if you know what I mean."

Logan groaned. "Keep your bathroom business to yourself pal and just get here on time. The sooner this crap is over the sooner we can get out of here."

"Anyways I called you here for a few reasons and one of those reasons is the little incident on our last mission," Stryker said casting a look over at Wade.

Fred raised his hand while the other held a chocolate bar. "Sir you mean when Wade threw that raccoon in Victor's face and Victor pushed Wade off that building?"

Victor laughed at the memory but Wade winced and glared at the other man.

"Hey that didn't tickle you know," He snapped. "At least you can heal but I'm human remember?"

"Why do you think I did it in the first place?" Victor smiled showing off his fangs.

Stryker pinched the bridge of his nose. "Gentlemen can I please continue?"

"Sure I'm ready to hear it. Are you ready to hear it fuzzy wuzzy?" Wade asked eyeing Victor's growing claws.

"God will you both shut up!" Zero snapped.

"Thank you Zero," Stryker said.

"Thank you Zero," mocked Wade.

Stryker closed the file and threw it on the table. "Okay since most of you can't sit still for more than ten seconds we'll let the incident go this time. The other reason we are here is because we have a new member joining us later today."

Now this got everyones attention, the last person to join the team was Wade and everyone was hoping that this new guy wasn't like the merc. Wade looked excited to meet someone new that might actually tolerate his jokes. Zero, Bradley, John, Fred, and Logan didn't really seem to care as much but were still curious. Victor held back a growl, he hated it when things changed. A new guy would just throw off the whole balance of things that Victor had just finally gotten use to.

"Great! What's his name?" Wade asked sitting up.

Stryker chuckled before turning on the screen behind him. It looked like someones bio but without a picture. "Her name is Allison Napier."

The X team started reading the file on the screen.

Name: Allison Napier

age: 17

Birth date: October 31, 1992

Family: unknown

Place of Birth: Unknown

Ability: energy conjuring (1)

High school graduate

Victor smirked thinking that perhaps this new member wouldn't be to bad. Maybe the frail could be more of a challenge and some entertainment.

As if reading his mind Stryker said: "She is off limits to everyone. If I hear anything about any kind of harassment there will be me to answer to."

"What if she's willing?" Wade asked ignoring Victor's glare. "I mean come on, unless she's a lesbian I'm sure she'll find one of us attractive."

"What you do on your own time isn't my concern as long as I don't get complaints."

The short glances towards Victor didn't go unnoticed by Logan. It was no secret to anyone on the team that Victor rapes women but they didn't know him as well as Logan did. Just because Stryker orders something doesn't mean it will stop Victor Creed. True at first he'll listen until the girl pisses him off or if he's left alone with her to long. The younger feral decided to keep a good eye on his brother just until the girl gets use to things.

Stryker locked eyes with Logan probably thinking the same thing. "Alright men you are dismissed."

Once Logan and Victor were the last ones out the room Logan turned towards Victor.

"Make sure you keep your claws to yourself Victor."

Victor smirked. "I heard what Stryker said Jimmy."

"You're acting like you've never went against orders before. Look all I'm saying is that if you want to stay on this team then don't go violating the members."

"Like anyone can stop me but if it's any consolation to you I only like the ones I can kill when I'm done," Victor growled before shoving past his brother.

I felt so out of place.

When I first walked into the giant stone building surrounded by an army base I noticed everyone was in uniform. Even the few woman I saw wore army green uniforms with their hair up in tight neat buns. They walked like they had something up their ass and had serious expression on. So here I come walking in wearing dark blue jeans, converse, and a long sleeve navy blue shirt with my hair hanging freely. I pulled my black jacket closer trying to shake off my nerves.

It was the middle of Fall so nights were starting to get colder and colder. On each side of me soldiers escorted me to where I needed to go. I didn't have much stuff so it all fit in the brown messenger bag on my shoulder. Colonel Stryker said something about special privileges and I hoped he meant that she could get some more clothes. I didn't care much about what he offered me, just the fact that I didn't have to run anymore. No one here didn't care if I was a mutant or not.

We walked deeper and deeper into the building; turning corners and go up or down on elevators. One thing was for sure I needed to ask for a map of this place before I get lost and die. Once again we got on to an elevator going down at least five floors. When it opened it revealed a long spotless hallway and at the end Colonel Stryker stood with his hands behind his back. He wore a gray suit and a pleased look on his face.

When we reached him he dismissed the two men.

"Welcome to the team Ms. Napier," He said with a smile. "If you'll please follow me then we can get this whole introduction thing over with."

I nodded deciding to stay quiet. I always was a bit shy of new people even before I found out I was a mutant. It took me longer to make friends and I hated big crowds more than anything. It just felt like everyone was staring at me and they could see right through me. You could only imagine how much worst my paranoia got when I became a mutant. Where ever I lived I only left to work or buy something I needed. When Stryker came and said if I went with him all that would stop, to good to be true so I wasn't completely ready to trust him yet.

I followed him through a large metal door which lead into a rather nice looking foyer. He showed me the large kitchen and entertainment room, next was a training room with a boxing ring and gun range. The place smelled like it was freshly cleaned and it probably was but what I found strange was each room had a few claw marks on the walls.

"Now I only ask a few things from you," Stryker said turning towards me. "Until I feel that you can be trusted you are not allowed to leave this army base."

'Like I can even find my way out of this labrinyth alive' I thought trying not to roll my eyes.

"So you will be the team's medic. It won't be hard as long as you know how to stitch, clean, and bandage cuts and burns. Anything more serious than that will be handle by the camp's doctor," He said leading me back towards the entertainment room.

Okay not that bad, I know how to do that.

"Also all the members on your team are male but I warned them to be on their best behavior. If there are any harassment issues please inform one of the patrolling officers and I will take care of it."

Wait? I'm going to be the only female in this place? What did he mean by harassment issues! There is no way I'm going to be locked away with a bunch of testosterone driven monkeys without some sort of protection. My mutant ability can only do so much damage. I was about to say something to him when I spotted someone sitting on the couch watching TV. He wasn't there earlier was he? I don't remember seeing him.

The man turned and saw us, at first it was a casual glance but when he saw who it was he shot up straight to his feet. The man was very handsome with short brown hair and eyes, he wore a red sleeveless shirt and green army pants.

"This is Wade Wilson," Stryker said turning to leave. "He will show you to your room and answer any questions you have."

I snapped out of my trance remembering the fact that I was going to be the only person in here without a Y chromosome. "Hey wait a minut-"

The large metal door closed before I could finish. I felt like stomping my foot on the ground but I didn't want to look like a spoiled child in front of...Wade was it? I jumped slightly when I heard someone say something right next to my ear.

Wade stepped back a bit. "Whoa sorry, didn't mean to scare you. I just asked if you wanted to meet the rest of the team?"

I thought for a moment before nodding.

"Alright great!" He smiled, Wade had a childish look in his eyes. I could tell he was one of those people who never fully grew up. "What can I call you Allison? Sonny? Al? Ally?"

I shook my head. "Not Ally. Anything but Ally."

He looked confused by my sudden and rather sharp answer but forgot about it a few seconds later. "Okay then. It's time to meet the rest of the Weapon X team!"

Wade jumped over the couch pulling me out the room with him

To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like

Welcome to my life

(1) I couldn't really think of a name for her ability so that's what I came up with.
