Author's note: This story begins a long time before the grudge we know. This is about the series of events which led to now. So, probably all the characters are going to be new. So say hello and begin your journey with them!

He had never known fear. He was even called "Brave Brian" at school. Beacause he had entered the supposedly haunted house near their school once. ALONE!

But now, he felt a small uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was pitch black everywhere. He had agreed to the bet that he will go alone into the forest and stay there a night. It never occurred to him to cheat. Because he wasn't afraid.

But now, he wasn't so sure. He had lost his way somehow. He had no idea how. Because he had exactly followed the trail that was so neatly marked on the map. But then, a sudden burst of wind had blown away his map right from his hands.

He immediately decided to go back and carefully made his way back down the trail. But, he must have gone wrong somewhere. Because the trail suddenly disappeared. There was no trace of it's continuance, No landmarks, nothing. Just trees. Trees all around. Trees that seemed to be whispering. Trees that were watching.

A bead of sweat trickled down his back and he suddenly felt something cold graze him.
