Hello people. Some of you may know me. My name is Dawn Bertliz Platinum. You may have seen me in the final round of the most recent Sinnoh Grand Festival. If you didn't see it, I didn't win. I came in second. So close…
The truth is, I was only a beginner. But I was proud of my skills, and I was happy for the person who did defeat me in that last round of the tournament I had worked so hard to make it to…It was a friend of mine, Zoey.
But I digress. I wish I had won, but I tried my hardest. I tried and that's what matters the most to me. So I kept my chin up, accepted my defeat, and then went with my two friends, Ash and Brock, to the Pokemon league, where I watched Ash compete valiantly. He was defeated in a later round. Of course that was upsetting to him…
Shortly after, the three of us parted ways. So I was sitting on the boat, on my way back to Twinleaf Town, the place where I was born. So now I had failed. I just needed a fresh start to all of this…
Little did I know that once a Pokemon journey starts, it never ends.

CHAPTER 1
Dawn! The Coordinator who's dreams never end!
0-0-0-0
The boat was large and packed with passengers. Several Pokemon were out and about with their trainers. There were several different rooms with people in them, sitting around, waiting to arrive at home.
One passenger was in the farthest room on the left side of the ship. It was a young girl, about eleven or ten and a half with flowing shiny blue hair. Her eyes were a pretty sparkling shade of blue. She wore a v cut black sleeveless shirt over a white undershirt. She wore a pink skirt and pink boots with a white beanie. A pink Pokeball symbol was printed on it. She held her hair in bangs with golden clips. She wore a bracelet and a Poketech.
Dawn sat on her bed and looked out the window. So many thoughts were on her mind. Ash's loss at the Sinnoh league, her own loss at the Grand Festival, the fact that she would probably never see Team Rocket again, to which she smirked at. And also how she was leaving the friends she had been traveling with for a year or so.
"I miss them…" she thought as she flicked one of her bangs backwards. "They helped me so much and now I'm going off on my own…"
The blunette hesitated as she thought back to day one of her journey. She had saved her started Pokemon, Piplup from a large Spider Web, and in the same day, got her bike destroyed by Ash's Pikachu. Apparently, Ash's Pikachu had apparently destroyed two bikes beforehand.
"I have to move on though. I'm going to see them again someday." She thought with a happy smile. With that, she got up and looked at her side, showing off six Pokeballs. The six Pokemon that she had worked so hard to capture on her journey.
Her Piplup…Her starter. The one Pokemon that was more important to her than any other. Piplup was her partner. Ash had somewhat inspired a few things in it. Keeping it out of its ball and not evolving it. It was her own decision though that let her keep Piplup the way it was.
Her Buneary. The first capture she had done all by herself. It was a good capture and she was proud of herself when she had caught it.
Pachirisu. That was a weird one. It was one she had caught because it was cute, but then she had released it after she had thought that she couldn't take care of it. But she realized her mistakes and recaptured it.
Mamoswine. Probably the most powerful Pokemon that she owned that she had raised herself. Originally a glutton, then disobedient, but soon loyal. Dawn was glad she could get it to listen to her.
Cyndaquil. She owed Lyra for that. The battle they had was what allowed her to get the egg for it. The little fire mouse, though small and cute, was one of her primary forces. It was great in her Grand Festival appeal.
And finally came her Togekiss. Princess Salvia had given it to Dawn because she thought that a skilled Coordinator like her could let it compete in more contests. She'd fulfilled Salvia's wish, though it didn't help her win the Grand Festival.
Dawn smiled at all the memories, travelling through her region. The region that she was born in. The friends and rivals she and Ash made all flashed by her head. Paul, Barry, Nando, Kenny, Zoey, Conway…All of them had somehow made her and Ash stronger in some way.
She was proud of where she was now. A strong trainer with a decent amount of skill.
Attention. We're docking in Twinleaf Town. Thank you all for boarding with us today. Have a nice day and make sure to bring all your belongings and Pokemon with you, as we are not responsible for them.
Dawn heard the voice over the loudspeaker. She sighed and got up, taking a yellow backpack from next to her with her.
"Mom was right…" She thought "This bag did have all the stuff I would need…"

Getting off the boat and arriving at her own town didn't feel like she thought it would. She had visited Twinleaf with Ash and Brock earlier. The own didn't look very different thought, but she took a second to think about what she looked like.
Dawn had matured over the course of a year. She had started to develop breasts and maybe had gained the tiniest bit of muscle. It barely was noticeable. She also had a brighter face with a better attitude. Her overconfidence had disappeared as well. She also had gotten an inch or two taller.
"I look great…" She thought as she walked across the road. She barely had time to avoid the blonde haired boy barreling towards her.
They both crashed into each other and fell backwards.
"Aw man…I'm fining 10 million to whoever just…Oh." The boy said.
Dawn looked up. It was Barry.
"What're you doing here?" She asked.
"Well I came right home right after the Sinnoh League. Just to drop off all of my Pokemon." He said "So Dawn…What brings you home?"
She got up and brushed herself off.
"I wanted to just…" She started to say before hesitating "Actually…I don't know what I'm going to do now. I just decided to come home and see my mom and relax a little."
Barry chuckled.
"Well you're a trainer now." He said "So go and train some more! If you lost the Grand Festival, then you have to start getting ready for the next one!"
Dawn looked at him.
"But that's not for another year!" She said. The blonde haired trainer chuckled.
"Think about it Dawn. Go to another region! Not only will you be exploring somewhere new, but by the time you're finished, it will have been a year! And then you can enter the next Grand Festival!" He explained.
The blunette stared at Barry.
"And you thought of that right now?" She asked. He laughed.
"Well DUH!" He said "I'm doing the same thing! I'm going to compete in a different Pokemon league and get stronger! Then I can defeat Paul the next time I see him!"
With that, he dashed off.
"Bye Dawn! See you soon!" He yelled behind him with a wave. Dawn spotted a single Pokeball on Barry's belt as he ran away. Obviously it was his Empoleon, his starter Pokemon.
"That guy will never change…" She thought as she turned to walk into Twinleaf.

About ten minutes later, Dawn found her house. She opened the door. To her surprise, there were two people there. One more then she had expected to greet her.
One of them was her mother Johanna. She was taller than Dawn with the same eyes and large blue hair. She wore an apron. Her Glameow, a small purple cat-like pokemon, was sitting next to her on the table.
The other person was an older man with frizzy white hair and a white beard. He wore a brown coat over a blue and white business suit.
"Mom! I'm home!" Dawn said as she rushed. Her mother greeted her with a hug.
"Good to see you Dawn." Her mother responded as Dawn broke the hug.
"Hello Professor Rowan." She bowed to the old man as she turned to him. Rowan was the one who had granted her Piplup. So she owed a great deal to him. Or at least she would if giving her Piplup wasn't part of his job.
"Good day to you Dawn. I heard about your performance in the Grand Festival." He said.
"You performed very well." Johanna said.
Dawn nodded. She was still disappointed about her loss. It was so close. Just one more attack and she would have won the whole thing…
"I tried my hardest." The blunette said "Thanks."
Rowan looked at Dawn.
"By the Professor, why are you here?" Dawn asked him. Rowan chuckled.
"Well I was actually waiting for you to ask me that." He said. With that, he flicked out a ticket from his coat "I was discussing it with your mother, and we've decided we'd like you to do a little errand for me."
Dawn's eyes opened wide as Rowan handed her the ticket.
"A ticket to the ferry to Johto…Leaving tomorrow?" She asked as she carefully looked over the ticket.
"That's right." Johanna said "Since I thought that maybe you would be needing a way to keep yourself occupied with your Pokemon, I contacted the Professor and asked him if we could make some arrangements."
Dawn looked at the ticket again.
"What do you need me to do for you?" She asked Rowan. With that, he pulled something out of his jacket. It was a new Pokedex. Dawn recognized it. It was the model lyra had used when they met her before.
"See this?" He asked "This is a new Pokedex designed by my friend Professor Elm. He's the lead researching authority on Pokemon in Johto. Your friends Ash and Brock have met him once."
He handed Dawn the new pokedex. She took out the pink one that Rowan had given her along with Piplup and her first five Pokeballs.
"That old one of yours will transfer the data you've already recorded automatically. I've already registered it to your name." Rowan explained as Dawn placed them both on the table and opened them up.
"Thank you." She said as she bowed back to him.
"So Dawn, are you going to do it? You can explain all about your journey to me tonight." Johanna said.
Dawn nodded.
"I'll do it." She said "What's the errand you need me to go to Johto for."
Rowan reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny box. Dawn took it. It was small enough to hold a wedding ring in. She opened it, revealing a small plastic bag with a single hair in it.
"That right there is an extraction from the Pokemon, Mew. A single hair is extremely small, nearly microscopic. That bag is magnifying to ten times its regular size. I need you to deliver this to Elm for me." Rowan explained.
Dawn nodded. Professor Rowan nodded and walked to the door.
"Well I'll leave you two alone." He said "I bet you have a lot of adventures to talk to your mother about."
With that, he opened the door and walked out of the house. Dawn turned to her mother.
"So where do I start?" She asked. Johanna stood up from her chair.
"Well tell me while I cook dinner. It's been a while since you've had my meals." She said. Dawn laughed. She wasn't going to tell her mom that Brock's cooking was probably better than her cooking ever could be.

After telling her mother over a session of cooking, a hearty dinner, and another four hour discussion afterwards, Dawn had told her every single detail of her journey. She walked out to the now night sky and released all six of her Pokemon from their balls so her mother could see them.
Dawn's mom had seen some of them before Dawn's visit back to town, and had seen the last of them when she was watching all of her contests and the grand Festivals.
Piplup was a small blue and white colored Pokemon that resembled a Penguin very closely. It chirped for joy and jumped up.
Buneary was a brown colored rabbit Pokemon. One of its ears was curled up. White fluff dotted it. It wore an orange colored contest vest. Dawn had designed it while her mom had stitched it.
Pachirisu resembled a white squirrel with a blue stripe going down it. It had yellow cheeks and a cute smile with buck teeth. It curled up in its own tail.
Mamoswine was tall. About 10 feet or so. It resembled a large mammoth with a white and blue pattern across its face.
Cyndaquil was small and mouse shaped with a turquoise and tan coloring. On its turquoise back were three small red dots. Fire erupted from them, giving Cyndaquil a fiery back.
Togekiss was somewhat round and white wings. it was white colored with red and blue spots on its chest. It cheeped.
"These are very nice Pokemon, Dawn." Johanna said as she admired every one of them closely. She petted Togekiss.
Dawn blushed at hearing her mothers compliments about them. Piplup ran and jumped into Dawn's arms.
"Everybody…I have to say something." She said "Tommorow I'm going to the Johto Reigon…And…I need to keep all of you here except Piplup."
Her Pokemon looked at her. Dawn thought they would be upset, but they all nodded. They understood. Dawn realized in her head it was because they all deserved a break. And by the looks of it, Piplup seemed to be the only one interested anyway.
"I did work them all pretty hard…" She thought. Her mother laughed.
"Don't worry dear." She said "I'll watch them all carefully for you. Now you should go up to bed. You've got a long day tomorrow."
She couldn't argue with that kind of logic.

Sleeping in her own bed felt weird to Dawn. After a long time, a familiar environment to her didn't feel very familiar anymore. She slept very soundly though. All of her Pokemon except Mamoswine were sleeping in her room. Mamoswine slept outside.
Dawn loved Mamoswine, but she wasn't very interested in having it bust a hole in her floor. It wouldn't even fit in her room.
But the next morning, her alarm clock rang and she woke up. Her other Pokemon were all still asleep. She carefully got up and walked over to her closet. The outfit she wore around Sinnoh was getting old on her. She chose a different outfit instead…

Dawn closed the door to her house, saying a hearty goodbye to her mother and her other Pokemon, who waved her and Piplup off as they walked away from her house.
Dawn's outfit was different, wearing a red vest over a pink T-Shirt with her hair tied up in a ponytail. She kept her bangs and her beanie and was wearing a blue miniskirt. She also wore black boots instead of pink ones. She kept her yellow backpack as well.
"Now this is an outfit that lets me yell…Look out Johto!" She thought as she pumped her fist into the air. Piplup chirped for joy.

So I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Not the best thing I've ever written, but for some reason, I just felt so mad that Dawn was being replaced with that new girl iris. So for you Dawn lovers out there, this fic is for you. Her continued adventures.
Anyway, it's a shaky start, but I hope you all tune in for more. Anyways though, make sure to review. I love getting feedback.
Next Chapter, Dawn goes onto the ferry to Johto, and meets an interesting trainer. Who is it?
Next week-The Mysterious Trainer appears! Charlie is his name!
(Author note: Kay…I know I named him Charlie, but I'm not very creative with names…Please tune in!:D)
