Harry Potter was sitting on his bedroom floor, studying secretly from the Dursleys when he suddenly felt a gust of wind blowing through the room, spinning him on the spot. He finally heard Mr. Dursley yelling, "Harry Potter!" He closed his eyes. He didn't feel the ground under him any longer.
Harry found himself on the ground of his room again. But, it wasn't his room. He wasn't alone, either.
Ron Weasley was standing on a table; quite confused on how he got there.
Next to him was his sister, Ginny Weasley. Her hand was griping Ron's shoulder.
Hermione Granger had her hands holding on to a cream-colored book in the middle of the room, eyes wide. Harry assumed that meant she had no idea what was happening. But, he had no clue because that has never happened, yet.
Neville Longbottom looked as though he'd been yelling. He was using the table as support.
Harry Potter looked at the last person with disgust. Malfoy, Draco Malfoy.
One more person he didn't notice before was sitting on the edge of a table. She had long wavy blonde hair.
Harry opened his mouth to ask who she was, but, she answered before he got the chance. "Luna Lovegood," she said in a dreamy voice.
"Bloody hell," said Ron, ignoring her. "How'd we get here?"
"No idea," Harry says, looking at Hermione, expectantly.
"How am I supposed to know?" she demanded
"Uh, you know everything?" Malfoy put in, smirking.
"Shutup, Malfoy," Ron pulled out his newly bought wand. Malfoy was going to say something but -
Just then, a box landed on the table. Neville went to open it.
"It's a couple of books," he pulled them out, counting. "Seven in all."
Hermione pulled up a chair, sat in it and studied the books.
"Typical Hermione," muttered Ron, sitting next to her.
Harry watched as Hermione looked at the covers and at him; back and forth. She frowned, thinking.
"Harry, come here."
Harry stepped forward, nervous.
Hermione asked, "This is you, isn't it?" She was referring the picture on the book.
"I guess."
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," she murmured. "This is probably our 1st year at Hogwarts...And the rest are years 2nd through 7th, I think."
"Then the second book is probably called 'Harry Potter and the Heir of Slytherin,'" Ron stated.
Hermione looked for the second book. She picked it up and read the cover. "You're close. It's called 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'"
Neville asked, "But then, what are the other books? You haven't lived the rest of your life yet..."
"Oh, Merlin, these must be your future, then," Hermione said, excitedly.
"Well, then, I'm not going to like my future then," Harry groaned. "Look at these titles. 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,' 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,' 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,' 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,' and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.' I mean, honestly, those titles don't sound too good... I wonder what it feels like to have a normal life."
"Our fourth years sounds good. The goblet of fire is used in the Triwizard Tournament. Maybe you'll compete in it."
"It's quite dangerous," sneered Malfoy, "Hopefully he dies playing."
"You'll pay for that one, Malfoy." Ron's wand was already out. Malfoy had his tightly in his hand. Before anything happened, Hermione casted a shield charm.
"Would you guys quit it?" she asked. "There is an important reason we're here, I expect." She looked in the box, once more, to see if there was anything left behind. She found a letter.
She read, "Dear Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny, Luna and Draco,
We assume you have found a box of seven books. This box contains Harry's life from the day he was orphaned to the day he sends his second son to Hogwarts.
We ask that you read these books; from the first page, to the last. We also ask that you do not leave this room. This is not your time period. This is 25 years later.
This room is the Room of Requirements. Each of you will learn more about it in the books.
Sincerely,
HJP, RBW, HJW, NFL, DLM, GMP, and LS
P.S. Have any questions, send them with Hedwig, he'll find us."
"Who's HJP, RBW, HJW, NFL, DM, GMP, and LS? Sound familiar to anyone?" asked Neville.
"I have a theory," Hermione says slowly.
"Then what is it?" Ron asked, impatiently.
"Us," Harry replied. "Well, some of us... My initials are HJP... Ron's are RBW..." He was quite confused on who's initials were the third ones. Unless...But that couldn't be right. "NFL is Neville, and Malfoy's DM..."
"That's what I was thinking," Hermione nodded. "But who is HJW?"
Ron turned bright red. "Think, 'mione. This is 25 years later! We'll be 38 - which, bloody hell, is old - meaning HJW and the last initials: GMP and LS are probably, um, married girls... With different last names...So, it must be you….Hermione Jane," he gave a heavy sigh, "Weasley"
Draco gaped at him, "You thought reasonably!"
"Shutup," Ron replied, turning back to Hermione, to see her reaction.
She had turned pink. This scared Harry. How could his two best mates be together? It confused him.
"Ron, what you said sounds right, but, honestly, that doesn't make any sense... With all the fights you two have..." Harry said.
While the trio talked, Neville was processing this in his own little corner of the table. And he started laughing, nonstop.
Draco stared. "What's so funny, Longbottom?"
In between laughs, he said, "Harry - marries - Ginny." He went back to laughing. "And have at least 2 kids…."
Ginny yells, "yes!"
But Ron's reaction was quite different, he shouted, "You what? I thought we were best mates! And then you go and marry my sister!"
Harry was quite confused. "Neville, you must have got it wrong. It's probably someone else."
Ginny sat down, hurt. Of course, Harry didn't notice, but Hermione did. She gave her a one arm squeeze around the shoulders. "It'll be alright. Look at the letter," she whispered, "You guys get together."
Luna says, dreamily, "He's right. I mean, Ginny, what's your middle name?"
"Our mother's name, Molly."
"So, Neville's right. Gineva Molly Potter nee Weasley." And she started giggling.
"Oh, shut up," Harry said, as Ron, recovering from his anger, started laughing with Hermione, Neville and Luna. "You should talk. You marry 'moine."
That shut them up.
"Blood traitor marries Mud-Blood," Malfoy said sneering, and Ron's anger rose. And so did Harry's and Ginny's. "And Half-Blood marries another blood traitor. Interesting."
Hermione smirked at an idea that popped in her mind. "I wouldn't talk. I bet you're with Parkinson."
"Gross," was all he said.
Neville sat down, glumly. "And I marry no one..."
"Oh, Neville," 'mione said. "You're probably with Susan Bones...Or maybe Hannah Abbott," Neville turned scarlet. "Oh, so you like her. Good start."
Ron gaged.
Draco Malfoy cleared his throat. "Should we start reading?" He was looking for another reason to taught Harry or anyone else.
"We probably should," Hermione agreed. "I'll start." She grabbed the first book. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. By J.K. Rowling. The Boy-Who-Lived," she read.
Harry groaned. Just what I want, he thought.
