***A Special Note:*** This story is a birthday present for my awesome friend, LionLover190! She has been my friend for a long time now and we have really become close friends, I'm so glad I was able to meet her, because she is an amazing person! Girl, you're so awesome, I can't even describe it, thanks for being a great friend to me and have a fantastic birthday! Love ya, buddy! I hope you enjoy this story just for you!
Kasey was swinging on her black tire swing attached to a large, tall oak tree in her front yard. It had been her favorite swing since she was only three, and she was now seven. She'd come on this swing and think about everything that happened on a certain day, it was sort of like a place where she could be alone and just let her imagination run wild.
She hummed a tone while swinging back and forth, something she did very often while she swung; she loved to sing, singing was her passion, even her parents thought she'd become a singer one day because of her beautiful voice and talented musical skills.
The sun had begun to set upon the horizon as she swung happily, creating a faint glow of orange and yellow that settled around the Earth as the crescant moon rose into the sky at a steady pace. This was Kasey's favorite time of day.
But, then, a thunderous shudder was heard from the woods just outside the Lennox property. Kasey stopped humming instantly and looked to where the loud shudder had come from; a puzzled look came upon her face.
Then, another shudder was heard, making Kasey jump off the tire swing and land on her bare feet into the dark soil of the ground, her purple dress swaying in the light breeze.
"Hello?" She asked as another shudder was heard from the shadows of the woods.
"Ironhide, is that you?" She assumed it was Ironhide, thinking that the only one who could create such a tremendous shudder was Ironhide, or any other of the autobots and decepticons. But thinking no other transformer would come to her house, she assumed it was Ironhide.
But no answer came.
"Ironhide! That's not funny!" She began to shout, pouting as she crossed her arms over her chest.
The shuddering footsteps came closer… and closer…
"Ironhide?" Kasey asked again in a softer voice, her face expression was becoming a frightened expression yet a bold expression.
Then, a huge, menacing transformer came out from behind the trees with pericing red optics that glowed through the darkening shadows. He had a rotating blade on his right arm that was spinning with life at about 600 rotations per minute. The transformer looked down to Kasey and he seemed to smirk evilly with a sense of revenge in his expression.
Kasey was as still as ever, she had not moved a single muscle after the dark gray transformer exited the forest. She just stood there, shocked with her mouth opened wide, but her eyes were wider.
She then remembered this transformer, this menacing... decepticon. His name was Blackout… her father had killed him during the battle at Mission City. But, she guessed, the job her father thought he had done probably was never completely finished, since he was standing right in front of her.
Just then, Blackout began spinning his death blade faster, pointing it straight down to Kasey in a threatening way and she began to scream as loudly as she could, turning around and beginning to run towards her house where she would find her mother and her sister, Annabelle.
"Mom!" Kasey screamed, feeling a large breeze come from Blackout's weapon that was spinning at a now 800 rotations per minute.
But, at that moment, Blackout gave a tremendous leap, jumping over Kasey and landing in front of her, blocking her path to get to the house where she would be safe. Kasey stumbled to the ground in an instant, her face falling into a puddle of mud.
Sarah, hearing her daughter yell, came running out of the house, but when she looked up to see Blackout standing over her daughter, she began to scream, and Annabelle, who had followed her outside, began crying.
"Kasey!" Annabelle screamed.
"Kasey, honey, don't move!" Sarah told her daughter, not taking her frightened expression off of Blackout.
Blackout, hearing other human voices, turned towards the house to face Sarah and Annabelle, his weapon continuing to spin at a full force of 800 rpm. Annabelle met Blackout's dark red optics and she screamed a piercing scream, running back into the house.
Blackout took out his missile launcher from inside his chest and pointed it straight at Sarah, making the women fall to her knees on the porch of her house, her legs giving out under her.
"Mom!" Kasey screamed, but Blackout held out his spinning blade in her direction, even though he didn't turn to stare down at her; he obviously was trying to frighten both females. Kasey held her head in her hands, wishing this were over... wishing Ironhide would come to her rescue.
But, just as Blackout was about to fire at Sarah with his missle launcher, a truck came speeding into the driveway with a man jumping out of the passenger side with a AK-17 in his hand, pointed at Blackout while a glare came upon his face.
And, the truck transformed… transformed into Ironhide. He emitted a dark growl from his throat as his cannons came flying out of his arms, aiming straight at Blackout with no such fear of the larger decepticon. "Blackout…" He growled.
Blackout turned to Ironhide and he seemed to smirk evilly once again as he brought his spinning blade out in front of him, pointing it at Ironhide in a threatening matter. But, Ironhide was quick and he leaped out towards Blackout, tackling him to the ground as they both rolled off a hill near the Lennox house.
Kasey had not moved since she was knocked down from Blackout, her breathing was labored and her heart rate was extremely high, her head still hiding in her hands as she shivered violently.
Major Lennox ran over to the porch to help his wife up to her, she had been traumatized by this event and he held her tightly in his arms as she sighed involentary, "You alright, honey?"
"I am, but the girls…" Sarah started, pointing to where Kasey sat on the ground and to the door where Annabelle had run off.
Major Lennox got up quickly from the porch, jumping the steps and running over to his daughter lying on the ground and he gently picked her up, holding her safely in his arms as Kasey buried her head into his chest, still shivering.
Ironhide had given Blackout a hard blow to the chest with his corse fist, sending the decepticon flying into a tree, and the tree went tumbling to the ground as Ironhide began firing everything he had in his cannons at the large decepticon.
Blackout was losing energy, as powerful as he was... was losing energy. But this decepticon had not known the Lennox family had their own family guardian; he had made a huge mistake by coming here and threatening this family.
But, with all the energy he had left, Blackout gave Ironhide a hard kick to the face, sending the weapon specialist to the ground with groan, energon leaking from his new wound.
"Surrendar, Ironhide!" Blackout said, his missle launcher pointed at Ironhide. Blackout wasn't usually the one for words, so a surprised Ironhide just snickered.
"That's not happening while you're online." Ironhide responded as he stood up and balling both of his black hands into a single fist, he gave Blackout the toughest and the hardest punch to the chest, sending the decepticon to the ground in micro seconds.
In a final attempt to defeat Ironhide, Blackout tried to knock him down with single a swipe of his leg; but Ironhide was too quick and instead, kicked Blackout square in the face, causing the decepticon to shriek out in pain.
Placing one foot over Blackout to keep him on the ground, Ironhide growled darkly before saying, "Ever come near my family again and I'll make sure I'm twice as deadly the next time around!" Standing back, Ironhide held out his cannons towards Blackout as he glared him down, "And do us all a favor, leave this planet, it's for your own good..."
Blackout, with energon leaking from his chest and from his face, accepted his defeat as he transformed into his helicopter and flew off into the distance, his vehicle disappearing with the sun as Ironhide grunted harshly, retracting his cannons back into his arms.
But, knowing his best friend, his charge was in need, Ironhide began to run back up the hill to the Lennox house where he found a traumatized Kasey sitting in her father's arms while a frightened Annabelle sat in her mother's arms.
Ironhide sighed heavily, he should have been there for Kasey when Blackout attacked, he should have been there to protect her… but he wasn't and his spark became full of guilt. He had failed his best friend today, but he promised himself that day that he wouldn't let that happen ever again.
Reaching the porch of the Lennox house where the family sat, Ironhide bent down on one knee so he could come to eye-optic contact with his family, "Is everyone alright?"
Annabelle, Sarah, and Will nodded… but Kasey simply looked up to her guardian, her friend and shook her head slowly, tears forming in her eyes. Ironhide hated to see his best friend this way, he hated to see his Kasey hurt.
Holding out a hand for Kasey, Ironhide gently motioned her to come into his hand, smiling down on her with the gentle smile he only gave his family, the gentle smile he only gave to Kasey.
Kasey obeyed Ironhide with a single nod, and standing up slowly, she leaped into his hand and gripped onto his black thumb, closing her eyes as she felt the warmth of Ironhide surround her as he lifted her to his chest level.
"I'm sorry, Kasey." Ironhide whispered, his spark beat seeming to lull Kasey to sleep, just like it always did wh3n she was younger.
"It's not your fault, 'Hide." Kasey answered, looking up to meet Ironhide's ice blue optics.
"I promise you, little one, that will never happen again, I'll always be there to protect you, no matter the circumstances." Ironhide told her gently. "I will never let anything harm you, you are my charge and you're my friend."
Kasey let a small smile run across her face at last, "You're my friend too, 'Hide." She said, snuggling up in Ironhide's hand.
"And I promise, we'll always remain friends, no matter what happens, no matter what situation comes up, you are and always will be in my spark." Ironhide whispered as he closed his optics and sighed a plesant sigh.
"I promise you that too, Ironhide. You're my best friend and you always will be." Kasey told her big, black guardian.
"Because our friendship is the greatest."
"And because our friendship goes beyond stars."
My End Note: How was that? Was it good? Was it bad? Let me know in your reviews, that'd be greatly appreciated! LionLover190, I hope you liked this story and happy birthday, have an awesome night girl, you're the best!
