When the town meeting began, the place was filled by animals of all sorts, birds, lagomorphs, monotremes, bovids, felines, canines, everything you could think of. When Danny walked onstage, next to his parents about to speak, everyone grew quiet. Jack spoke. "People of Amity Park!" he announced. "I'm sure you're all confused and startled about what has happened to the population. We are to launch an investigation pronto. Anyone with information is urged to contact us." he said. He moved for Maddie.

"And we'll be taking questions right now. Yes, you." Maddie said picking a peacock that was waiting to ask a question. He sighed.

"Do we have any idea who or what did this yet?" he asked. Maddie shook her head.

"No, but-" she was interrupted by horrified and terrified cries of animals. Danny narrowed his eyes and let out a loud bark, silencing them. He growled.

"All of you will not panic! We get nowhere from panicking! I will work to MAKE SURE I find whatever is responsible for this!" he promised. There were cheers, as Danny let out an anxious huff under his breath. "I at least know I'll try."

People were searching cameras from the town. Danny was pacing restlessly, much to Sam's worry, whom he was with at the time, waiting for a video to come in with any sort of evidence. "Danny? Are you…Are you okay?" Sam asked. Danny looked her way and gave a weak nod. The panther frowned and paused. "Danny…just talk to me. What's on your mind? Well, other than all of this?" she asked. Danny turned to her.

"I…I don't- well, what if I can't find a way to change us back? The thought scares me…" he said, looking into her eyes. She sighed.

"Danny, you saved the world. That should be enough for you to know that we can all work together and find out who did this and go back to being humans. I know you can." she said. Danny smiled.

"You always know what to say. Thanks, Sam." he said. The two then placed their lips together in an odd form of a kiss. Maddie came rushing in a moment later, making the two break away from each other and look. Maddie had a DVD in her pouch, hopping up. She smiled.

"Sweeties, we found something that might help." she said, awkwardly trying to use her paws to grab the video out. She managed to force it into the DVD player in the TV. in the room, and the video began to roll. "This was from a streetlight…" she said. They quieted as they began to watch.

The TV screen was static for a moment, and then the TV flickered to an image of a random rooftop. Danny wanted to know why this had any value to the case, but decided just to watch it and see if anything useful came up. His wish was granted, when a poof of smoke appeared on the rooftop. Maddie, Sam, and Danny watched as the smoke cleared and a figure appeared on the TV screen. It was too dark and distorted to see what the figure even looked like, but it looked like it was saying something out loud.

"Mom, why isn't there any sound?" Danny asks as he turned to the kangaroo. Maddie shrugged.

"It seemed the camera didn't have a microphone attached, so there's no sound," Maddie explained then sighed. Danny just looked disappointed; he wanted to know what the figure was even talking about out loud about. It always helped when the villain revealed their plan for no apparent reason or an attempt to gloat. Good times… good times…

"Hey Danny," Sam spoke, snapping Danny back to reality, "This guy is doing something," she pointed out as the figure made even more smoke appear and bongos appeared. The figure grabbed the bongos and sat down quietly for a few seconds. Then, the figure pounded the bongos as these strange images came out of the smoke the bongos produced.

"Wait, pause it for a moment," Danny said, wanting to get a good look at those images. Maddie pushed the stop button on the DVD player and the screen froze. "Those look like… animals… coming out of the smoke," Danny said as he cocked his head, which made him look adorable in his new doggy form.

"They look like animals, but they look like they're spirits or something like that," Sam said as she pointed (or close enough when someone has a paw for a hand) at one of the images that look a lot like some sort of cat.

Maddie then pushed play and the three finished watching the part with the strange spirit animals and the mysterious figure. Then when the figure disappeared in a puff of smoke, Maddie ejected the DVD.

"So, any ideas Danny?" asked Sam, noticing Danny's cute dog ears twitch. Danny just nodded.

"I think we should go to that rooftop and see if this ghost or whatever else he is and see if he left some sort of clues or anything."

"Really?"

"Yeah, we don't have anything else to go on and they usually do this on a lot of crime shows," Danny said as he shrugged.

Sam sighed, "Well, then let's go…"

"WAIT!" came Tucker's voice. Danny and Sam turned around and Tucker waddling in. Both tried to keep themselves from laughing at Tucker's attempt to walk like a normal person.

"Wait," Tucker panted, "Don't leave without me! I want to see you beat that… that… bastard up for making it so hard for me to pick up my PDA!" Tucker said a bit over-dramatically.

"Tucker, I'm not gonna beat that guy up. I'm gonna demand he turn us back. And if he doesn't, THEN I beat him up until he turns us back to normal," Danny said as he rubbed Tucker's back in an attempt to calm him down.

"Guys, we can beat him up when we find him, so can we just go already?" Sam asked impatiently as she was almost out the door. The two just nodded and Danny started to walk toward Sam until he felt something or someone on his back.

"… Tucker?"

"Yeah?"

"Why are you on my back?"

"You expect me to WALK there?"

"Well you can't ride on me!"

"Why not?"

"I'm not a horse! If you want someone to ride on, ask Jazz!"

"Jazz isn't here right now, and I never rode a dog before," Tucker said smugly as he climbed onto Danny's head. Danny just glared and sighed.

"Fine, but you so owe me after this," Danny growled as he walked out of the room with Sam while Tucker did some sort of victory dance on Danny's head. As the trio left the room, Maddie just shook her head and sighed.

"This isn't gonna end well."

"Well, find anything?" asked Sam as she paced back and forth along a side of the rooftop.

"No, nothing," Danny said in his ghost dog form with Tucker holding tightly onto Danny's neck, "Will you let go?"

"No… I kinda like this," Tucker chuckled as Danny gave him a weird look. "I mean that it's better than walking! Geez Danny…"

"Guys?"

"Yeeeaaahhh?" Danny and Tucker said as they slowly turned to Sam.

"You smell that?" Sam said as her nose twitched. Both Tucker and Danny lifted their noses and sniffed around.

"All I can smell is smoke. Yuck, why people start smoking in the first place I'll never know," Tucker commented as he held his nose, trying not to smell any more.

"Wait a minute. That guy was conjuring all kinds of smoke when he summoned all those animal things on the tape. Maybe if I use my new dog nose, I can track this guy down and demand he turn us back to normal," Danny smirked as he said this.

"Well, I did read somewhere that dog noses are better than cat noses, so go ahead Danny," Sam said as she lay down. Danny nodded and took a big breath of the air and started to cough a bit because of the smoke smell.

"Yuck, Tucker was right. Why people start smoking, I'll never know," Danny said as he rubbed his nose with his paw, "I think that guy headed toward the zoo, at least that's what it smells like."

"SWEET! Let's go beat that guy up so I can hold my- I mean, turn us back to normal!" Tucker said as he pulled on Danny's dog ears. Danny Phantom was not amused.

"Tucker…"

"Yeah?"

"GET OFF ME NOW!"

"Honestly, why humans think lions are kings of the jungle, I'll never know," A mysterious figure said as he was holding a lion upside down. The lion tried to claw the figures eyes out, but his claws just kept going through him. "Aw well, humans were never the smartest creatures on this planet," he said as he threw the lion up against the wall and phased out of the lions cage.

"Ugh… when is that ghost kid gonna find me," the figure sighed as he floated over the other cages, "I heard he was strong and resourceful, but maybe…" he started to say until he felt something. He turned to a direction and smiled evilly, "FINALLY! Things are gonna get more fun around here," he started to chuckle as he made smoke appear and pulled out his bongos, "I wonder what that kid is. Maybe he's a rhino. OOH, maybe he's a gorilla… eh, I hope not. OOH-OOH, maybe he's a tiger! Maybe he's a snake or a lizard. I would die laughing if he was a rabbit… oh wait… I'M A GHOST!" the figure started to laugh uncontrollably and turned invisible. He floated over to where the monkey cages were and grabbed a banana, "But first… a snack," he snickered as he peeled the banana and waited for the ghost boy to show up.

Dragonaqua:... awesome. I can't wait til we finally learn who the mysterious figure is.
JuneLuxray: -grumblegrumblecurseswear- I'm waiting so, unlike Danny, the minute I see him I can beat THE SHIT out of him. -bears teeth-
Dragonaqua: *gulps* Maybe you should calm down Sarah o.o
JuneLuxray: HELL NO! He's DEAD! -RAWR-
Mysterious Figure: *comes in* HOW can I be dead when I'm a ghost? Hahahahahaha! ^w^
JuneLuxray: Ohoho, you'd be surprised. -bears claws and teeth and pounces, and proceeds to maul before you could become intangible-
Mysterious Figure: *moves one step to the right, causing Sarah to crash into a wall* Ouch, thats gotta leave a mark! Hahaha! XD
Dragonaqua: Uh... tune in next time when Sarah is conscious and calmed down o.o;
