I know it's been ages since I've updated Where the Wild Things Are: I can only apologise, and say I've been distracted by my other, newer stories (Harry Potter, Lost Girl, Tangled, Holes, The O.C., Lords of the Underworld and Gossip Girl…for full details, see my Profile page!).

Coming back to Where the Wild Things Are, I didn't like where it was going. I didn't like Billie living with the McGowans, and I had wondered how to get Billie to meet her father, with a sort of Carmen, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants storyline. I've also been watching Outnumbered, and love the little girl in the family, and she inspired a character who might be friends with Caleb at school in Megan Meade's Guide. And I thought…

Would everyone send me hate-vibes over the 'Net if I was to rewrite Where the Wild Things Are for a different feel? The personality of the protagonist will still be the same, but I'm sort of wanting to change her name, maybe to Iris.

What thinks you?

Should I continue writing Where the Wild Things Are, or rewrite it with a new name for the lead character, and a difference in where she lives? (With her estranged dad, rather than the McGowans, but making sure she has a history with the McGowan boys).
