What if Rino had an older best friend that knew everything that best friend fell for Kanade?

" Hey Rino how are you holding up without me?"

" Oh My God, Klaire I miss you so much. Where are you? How have you been? Are you okay? When are you getting here? How-"

"Slow down Rino, I'm fine and I'll be there in a couple of hours. I was just checking how well you were faring without me." I chuckled slightly.

It's been a while since I've seen my best friend because I was lying unconscious in a hospital bed while she was being shipped off to some all girls' school on the Miagami peninsula. I woke a few days ago and now I'm heading off to the same school.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard Rino yell on the phone.

"YAY! You're coming I cant wait to see you again its been soooooooooooo long. You'll love everybody here. Aww man I have to go. Love you"

"Love you too Rino. I'll see you in a couple of hours." I chuckled.

Rino Rando has been one of my closest friends since I met her when we were still diapers. She doesn't know this, but she is the niece of Kanade Jinguji because her mother is Chieri, the candidate of the Jinguji successor. I only know this because not only am I her best friend, but I am also her bodyguard. My mother was the one that protected Chieri and was one of her most trusted friends. I was entrusted with Rino's safety. Her mother didn't want her to be forced to become the Jinguji successor so I am here to be her confident, her closest friend, and her protector.

I watched as the scenery rushed past me, as I got lost in my thoughts. I wasn't the only one who knew all of this. There a few trusted others that know this secret. I worry that one-day Rino will have to take the place as the Jinguji successor, the position will overwhelm her and she may crack. I don't want anything corrupting the pure innocence that Rino is. She is loving and care free. I don't want that to be taken from her just yet. I know that when she is ready to her place though, she will have the support of many and of course I will be there by her side protecting her. These were my final thoughts as I drifted off to sleep.
