Once You Are Forgotten

Do you remember me?

I meant a lot to you,

or so you said.

You told me I was special;

that I was strong.

You said I had it in me;

that I could do all that I wanted.

I was the most beautiful.

I could win it all.

But you were wrong,

every single one of you.

All of those people who said I could win,

they lied; now I'm paying the price.

You see, this is what happens,

when you think you are best.

Well now I've learned my lesson.

It only took my death.
