Sam was having little luck with his research into nonexistence.
He really wished he could ask Castiel.
After all Anna's past plan was part of his inspiration for this search.
The main difference was he didn't want to kill his parents or Dean, just the opposite in fact. He wanted to save everyone the pain and death his life had caused.
Dean wouldn't have a little brother, he'd always feel the need to take care instead he would have parents to take care of him.
He wouldn't miss Sam, because Sam would never have been a part of his life
