*A/N: So this is just a little insight into what I think are the inner-workings of Lucy's mind. Written after listening to "Good 'n' Evil" 110 times.

Good.

A heart full of good was exactly what Lucy had. She wouldn't hurt a fly, no matter the persona she put on or the words she spoke. She did what she had to stay alive, true, but she wouldn't—couldn't bear to see someone hurt at her hand unless they truly deserved it.

Evil.

And yet, she was evil. Evil because she did what she did. Evil in the Lord's eyes. Evil because she lied and gave herself away. She was living on the last bits of a good soul, blackened by circumstances that weren't her fault.

Good is evil.

Her good-heartedness was an act of evil upon herself. She let herself be pushed around and played with. She was tortured, hurt, and tarnished because she had a good heart, a good soul, and sweetened moral mind.

Evil is good.

So wouldn't that mean that being cruel to others would do her some good? If she stood up for herself, that would mean negative actions towards someone else; but in the end, it would turn out better for her; better for her soul. To act upon a sense of hatred or fear—that would be evil. To be free, proud, and happy—that would be good. To combine the two—that would be evil. Evil, which turns out to be good.
