I haven't updated in a while QAQ either of my fanfics OTL *sigh* well gotta take advantage of my week vacation before classes start again xD

Chapter 9

"Is it just me or has everything seem to have gotten quiet?"

Keeping up with his pace was difficult, not only was it due to her height if that had to do with anything according to the brunette, but also Noctis was certainly not slowing his pace down. He suddenly stopped causing the brunette to hit his back and fall down onto the dirt ground.

"Ouch," Heaven brought a hand up and rubbed her nose closing her eyes. She slowly subdued the throbbing sensation that her nose had begun to feel from when it hit with the hardback. Heaven finally opened her eyes and looked up at her companion with an annoyed and confused look. He hadn't done it on purpose as she assumed. He was looking out in to the distance in what seemed to be deep in thought.

"Seriously? At a time like this?" Heaven furrowed her brows together wanting him to smack him on the back of the head in hopes of waking him up from his trance. Before her thoughts could give her any more ideas she slowly got up before a large hand got a hold of her arm and pulled her up onto her feet.

"What the-?!"

"Shh!" the brunette had to eat her sentence before she even began to say it. Noctis pulled her into an alley at a run that Heaven barely managed to keep up with.

"What are you-!?"

"SHH!" Heaven gave him a glare puffing her cheeks in utter annoyance. Her brow twitched before she turned away looking around. The alley had no exit other than the one they had just entered through.

"What are we-?"

"SSHHH!" sapphire blue eyes turned to give the brunette a glare forcing her to not question anything any further. She rolled her eyes once Noctis turned away back to the entrance of the alley.

"Can you just- mmppphh" a large hand was placed over her mouth silencing her momentarily. Heaven turned her gaze up to the young man beside her giving him yet another glare. The sound of armor made Heaven's muscles tense up alarmed. A man in armor walked past the entrance of the alley not noticing them there. He held a gun in hand that shined in the sun along with his armor. Heaven's heart drummed fast against her chest causing it to ache, she began to get nervous. What if he saw them? He had a gun and them...well she had a sword, but what of Noctis. When she thought of it she never really remembered what was his weapon much less if he even had one to begin with. Rolling her eyes she rid her mind of the thoughts that didn't even matter at the moment. At least they weren't as important as trying to keep quiet then again if the armored man saw them…

"Attack first and push his hand away…the one that holds the gun…then push him down onto the ground…..that should work" Heaven thought staring at the entrance of the alley once the shadow returned and the sound of armor reached her ears.

"Crap" Heaven's thoughts spun in her head, those of which pointed out how she could easily go down. She could be shot, Noctis could be shot. The distance to the entrance wasn't that long but a gun would definitely bring her down if the one holding it was fast with the deadly weapon. Her arms held onto Noctis' arm as it still covered her mouth. Bringing her right hand down Heaven held the hilt of her sword while with the other she tried to push Noctis away, who to her annoyance, didn't move an inch. The shadow approached closer and closer until the armored man finally stood at the entrance, his head turned to the young man and woman who stood at the end of the alley.

Heaven was ready to push Noctis away with all of her strength and run to attack the armored man, but to her surprise Noctis no longer was next to her, nor in the alley.

Done phew

Oh snap the earth ate Noctis DUN DUN DUN! oAo

Nah I kid xD let's see what happens next (:
