This is my first fanfiction for Tangled (a great movie that I THOUGHT I was going to hate, but actually loved).

~Prologue~

What Happened Before…

Most of us already know what happened between Rapunzel and Eugene, or Flynn Rider as he was known before. Mother Gothel lost her flower, which had been used to save the Queen's life. She had a baby girl, who was later whisked away in the night by Mother Gothel. She named the girl Rapunzel. Years later, Flynn Rider found Rapunzel high up in her tower and bargained with her to take her to see "the lights" and she would return his satchel in return, which carried something important. Flynn was later captured, Rapunzel was tricked by Mother Gothel, and she was taken back to the tower. Flynn escaped the guards and returned to the tower, only to find Rapunzel tied and gagged. Mother Gothel then stabbed him and tried to escape with Rapunzel, but she bargained to let her heal Flynn and would then do anything Mother Gothel said. As Rapunzel tried to heal him, Flynn cut off her long golden hair with a piece of broken glass, and it shriveled and turned brown. Mother Gothel tried to save a few pieces, but was unsuccessful and fell out the tower window, only to turn to dust before hitting the ground. Flynn was fatally wounded and died in Rapunzel's arms. She sang him the song that Mother Gothel had taught her, the one that she had used to stay young, and Flynn was revived by a magic tear that fell from her eye. The kingdom celebrated her return as the long-lost princess, and they celebrated for about a week. Rapunzel and Flynn were later married and became the King and Queen. Then, I came in.

My name is Delza. I am the daughter of Rapunzel and Eugene. I was born soon after they became King and Queen, and I lived with them happily. My mother taught me the song, which she sang to me as a lullaby, but she never told me what would have happened because of it. Maximus remained Captain, and adopted an apprentice named Flora. Flora became my friend, and we traveled everywhere together. But no one knew that Mother Gothel's spirit had been revived every time Rapunzel sang me the song, and little did we know that she was watching our every move, and that I was the next to be tangled in her plan…forever.
