For The Cameras

Chapter One

Freddie just stood there, listening to her babble while she waved a piece of paper in front of his face. Sam was never the one to call to say that she was coming over. She invites herself, without knocking. Most people found that rude. To Freddie, he didn't care. That was Sam, unpredictable. Freddie grabbed the paper from Sam's grasp, crumpling it in the process. He read the text, staring at the piece of paper in confusion.

"What is this?"He asked her. Sam was full of energy, bouncing off the walls, despite the fact that it was four o' clock in the morning. Freddie's mom left to go work her night shift at the hospital, so he was glad that his mother wasn't here to have a panic attack.

"What? Don't know how to read, Benson?"

"Yes...no. What?"

"I'm going to ignore the fact that you're an idiot at the moment."

Freddie snapped."Just tell me what this is about, and why you're here so early in the morning."

"It's a contest they're having in Seattle. They're looking for an opposite couple. A couple that are in love with each other, despite the fact that their complete opposites. I'm here because I know that your mom isn't home and I needed to speak to you alone about this."

"And why are you showing me this? At four in the morning?"

Sam sighed."I always have to explain everything..."She muttered."...I need you to be my fake boyfriend, for a while. Just until this contest ends."

"Why would I do that?"He snapped at the blond."What's in it for me?"

"I'll split the money with you, you'll get ten thousand dollars, and the flier says that the couple gets scholarships to the college of their dreams. You're always talking about that popular, expensive film college in California. Now you might actually be able to go. Plus, we get our own place. A nice house about ten miles from here. You can stop living with your psychotic mother."

Freddie has dreamed to work in film almost all his life. He would love to someday become a director, or a camera man. He already has the tools, from working on iCarly. He just needs the money to go to a great college. Plus, he gets a chance to leave his mother's place. He has wanted to have his own place since he was six, and his mother just started giving him tick baths.

"This would be a good opportunity."Freddie pondered."But...what if they find out we're not actually a couple?"

Sam smirked."You are looking at the queen of lies. I know how to work my way through any questions that they send my way. Ask me anything about our 'relationship'. Ask me like you're a reporter."

"Okay..."Freddie said, trying to come up with a good questions."When did you first realize you were in love with Freddie?"

"I was first in love with my dear Freddie-kins when we first met. I was too shy to tell him, until nine months ago. Now we're in a loving relationship."

"How great of a boyfriend is Freddie Benson?"

It took Sam a while before she could answer."He is a geek, but he is my geek. He is loving and caring of me, despite all the reticule I had given him for the past six years. I love him, so much."

"Where do you see yourself with Freddie in five years?"

Sam gives a fake smile, and answers. She tries her best not to vomit."I see us married, with many beautiful children running around. He would be a world renowned film director, and I will be a housewife. We'll still have that spark between us. I'll still love my Freddie-Teddy."

"Wow. That was...amazing."

"Thanks. I've already figured out the details."

"What details?"

Sam took out a big manila envelope from her jacket pocket and handed it to Freddie. He opened it up to find many pictures of Sam and himself. Most were took by Spencer. Spencer bought a new camera at the time and he wanted to test it out. Some were photo-shopped, but they looked convincing. There were also tons of pictures of just Sam, striking random sexy poses. He took out one of the few dozens of white envelopes that were in there and showed it to Sam.

"What is this?"

Sam snickered."Aww...Freddie doesn't know. It's an envelope. E-N-V-E-L-O-P-E."

"What is it? I'm sick and tired of playing games this early in the morning."

"Fine."She grumbled."You're no fun. Those are some fake love letters I wrote for you. You have to write me some as well."

Freddie opened up the letter to read. It was a short paragraph.

Fredward,

I've loved you since the sixth grade, and I've never stopped.

I'm sorry for kissing you last night.

I didn't know what came over me.

I hope you can forgive me. You better, or you're getting a trip to the hospital.

- Sam Puckett.

"You really think we can win this thing?"Freddie asked, as him and Sam sat down on the plastic covered plaid couch. He had just agreed to it, without any doubt in his mind. Okay, some doubt. He really wanted to go to that college.

"Yup. Now the film crew is showing up next week, so we got a lot of time to prepare each other."

"Prepare each other?"

"Yes, practice. For one, we have to stop hating each other."She said with a smirk plastered all over her face.

"What do you mean?"

"We have to be loving towards each other. Hold hands, be close, hug, kiss...etectera, etectera.

"Kiss? No we are not-"

Sam pulled the brunette teenager by his shirt, closer to her. He yelped in pain at Sam's grip. Freddie didn't feel much after that, but Sam's lips on his. He tried to get out from Sam's grasp, but it was useless.
