To run, to hide, to perish in your arms at last
I know that it's my fate that tenderly has cast
Your soul into my way; and I did stumble, fall and sway
From all the vows I have believed so true - all gone -
With loves that long lay buried! Take me there, away,
Where only we will live for all eternity to share
These true, enamoured hearts and mingle our souls -
Mates for our lives and companions ever after,
United even far beyond the shores of callous death.
