Chapter 10:

RECAP:

"Wow," Musa said.

"I know," Flora said.

"This is the most beautiful lake, I have ever seen," Bloom said.

"Linphea has many spots that are where nature is at its peaks. It is the very heart of nature...the nature of every planet-every world connect at this on spot," Flora said.

"Where's the emerald," Musa asked.

"The location changes with the seasons, so it could be anywhere," Flora said.

"There how do we find it," Stella asked.

"There's a scrying map in the gazebo, it moves with the emerald," Flora said, walking to the gazebo. Inside the gazebo was a large pale green marble bowl filled with water. Flora knelt down by the bowl and skimmed her hand along the water. It glowed for a minute and then the water lifted from the bowl and formed a miniature version of the planet.

"There it is," Flora said, pointing to a glowing sparkle in the water.

"Where's that," Bloom asked.

"Winter Palace," Flora said.

"Flora, You know I love how I can choice what season it is my going to different places on your planet, but I really wish it wasn't so extreme," Stella said, as they hiked up the mountain trail to the castle.

"Yeah, one minute we're in ninety-seven degree summer with the sun shine, and then the next it's sixty-four with winds in the dead of winter," Bloom said.

"Could be worse," Nabu started.

"Stop. You are about to jinx us," Layla said.

"How am I going to jinx us," Nabu asked.

"Just you wait and see," Layla said, crossing her arms.

"Okay, wardrobe change," Stella said, and then conjured an energy ball that split between the girls. After a small flash of light and sparkles, the girl stop they in different colors winter coats and black pants.

"Much better," Tenca said, pulling up her hood. Soon then reach the top of the pathway and saw the castle. It looked as if it had been caved straight from ice.

"Do you have a castle that goes with every season," Bloom asked.

"The four main ones are for the seasons, but there are also some smaller one that go with the different climates," Flora said, and straighter down the path toward the castle.

"This had better be the last one we go to," Riven said, before Musa elbowed him in the ribs, "What?"

"Idiot," Musa said, following after Flora and the gang.

"What," Riven asked.

When they all finally reached the palace, the gang realized that the palace was completely empty.

"Where is everyone," Musa asked.

"I don't know," Flora said, looking around.

"Can we go just the emerald...this place is seriously giving me the creeps," Stella said, grabbing Brandon's arm.

"It should be in the center court yard," Flora said, leading the group. Walking down a long hallway, they saw paintings.

"What are this," Bloom asked.

"The sisters of nature," Flora said, "Every ruling pair of sister queens Linphea has every had." And then as they came to the end of the hallway, Flora pointed out two paintings.

"This is my mother and her sister, Queens Sardī and Vasanta," The two woman were standing in front of the lake and the taller of the two women had a more elaborate crown and looked exactly like Flora, while the other had a similar face but had red hair and was lighter-skinned.

"And this is me and Lily, years ago," Flora said, looking up at and touching the frame of the other picture. Flora looked to be six in the painting and standing by a rose brush, and a younger Lily was kneeling beside her with her arms wrapped around Flora's shoulders.

"Come on, let's go get the emerald," Helia said, putting a hand on Flora's shoulder.

"Okay," Flora said, turning from the painting.

The inner courtyard was breathe-taking. It looked like the perfect winter wonderland, and was snowing. In the center of the courtyard floating around a large unfroze pond was the emerald.

"The emerald," Flora said.

"Good, let's get it and go," Riven said, walking towards the jewel.

"Wait," Flora said.

"What the jewel is right there," Riven said, continuing to walking.

"You can't touch is or," Flora said, just as Riven reached for the jewel and was thrown back by a force field, "...else that will happen."

"Okay, so how do we get to the emerald," Musa asked.

"With this," Flora said, waving her hand and her Winx flower necklace appeared. She knelt beside the pond and let her necklace spill into the water. The water started to glow a pale green and a figure rose from the water. It was a statue of a woman dressed in a green and gold saree [link on the profile] and had a golden left clipped into her hair.

"Wow," everyone said. Flora's necklace floated out of the water and into Flora's hands.

"Incredible," Helia said from behind Flora, startling her. Flora dropped he necklace, and Helia bent down and picked it up.

"I think this is something that you should always wear," Helia said, standing up and tying the necklace on Flora.

"Thanks," Flora said, smiling.

"I wish those two were hurry up and just kiss," Musa whispered to Bloom.

The emerald flashed twice before floating over to Flora.

"At last."

A voice rang out through the courtyard. The was a sharp wind that swept by and then Lily appeared behind everyone.

"Hello again, sister," Lily said.
