Hey guys! I wanted to write this oneshot because…..

The other day, we went to a play and my two friends are dating and it was kinda cute because my one friend, she was is like, DEATHLY afraid of the dark and when the lights when out a couple times to signal the play was starting or another act was starting, she would have a panic attack and my friend (her boyfriend) would sit there and comfort her. I think it's adorable! So think of this as…a oneshot from the I'll Always Be There series because I thought the age would suite it better. And it's Troy-My friend's boyfriend who's name is not to be announced. Gabriella-My friend who's name is also not to be announced. Taylor-Is me and what I said during their conversation.

The 6th grade class from East High Middle School filed into a few rows of the East High School auditorium.

Gabriella and Troy sat down and Troy sighed.

"Why do we have to be here?"

"The older division put on a play, Troy."

"What play?"

"Um…Into The Woods." Gabriella replied looking at the play bill.

Troy sighed in frustration. "What the heck kinda play is that?"

"Give it a rest." Gabriella said smiling and shaking her head at her boyfriend.

"Yeah, seriously Troy." Taylor spoke up from the other side of Gabriella.

"You shush it, Taylor." Troy replied.

Taylor shook her head and sat back in her chair.

As the lights dimmed, Gabriella's eyes went wide. "Oh. My. God. It's dark." She panicked.

"Chill out, Gabriella. Nothing's going to hurt you." Taylor said patting her friend's shoulder.

"Yeah, Brie. Don't worry, I'm right here." Troy said turning to look straight at Gabriella.

Earlier….

The lights had flickered signaling the play was starting soon.

"Oh God…it's dark." Gabriella said panicking.

"Calm down, Gabriella. Troy is two seats away."

"Yeah, I'm separated from him by Chad and Jason. He has to be right here." Gabriella argued.

Gabriella let out a shaky breath and looked at Troy.

"I promise." Troy said looking at Gabriella in the dark.

Gabriella looked skeptical.

"Really, Brie." Troy said gently holding her hand.

Gabi sighed and nodded.

Taylor smiled at the couple and glanced over at them.

The lights were still dimmed, and bright on the stage, but she could see the safe feeling in Gabriella's eyes and the happiness in Troy's.

She fixed her gaze on the stage but kept glancing back over at the cute couple every so often.
