Punky woke up, got dressed, ate breakfast, and went to school. It seemed just like any other day. At lunch her friends Cherie, Margaux, Kyle, Alex, and Eve ate lunch together and talked as usual. Right before lunch ended Kyle pulled Punky aside.

"Hey Punky, I need some advice."

"Sure! What's up?"

"Well, there's this girl I want to ask out but… I'm kinda nervous."

"What's there to be nervous about? Any girl would be crazy not to go out with you! You should totally go for it."

"You really think so?"

"Absolutely."

"Alright, thanks Punky. I'll do my best!" he turned around and started heading for his next class. Punky waved goodbye with a smile and did the same.

School was over for the day. Punky was getting her books from her locker when she felt a poke on her arm. She jumped a little.

"Hey Punky."

It was Kyle. She had hoped that he was here to tell her that she asked the girl he liked out. She loved these kinds of situations. "Kyle! So did you do it? Did you ask her?"

"Well… you're the girl I wanted to ask out."

Punky froze. Me? She thought. This seemed so… unexpected. "Really?"

Kyle nodded shyly, "Yeah…"

"Really? Really?" That was the only thing she could think.

"Really, really!"

"Oh my gosh, really?"

That went on for a couple minutes.

"So does that mean you'll go out with me?"

She almost screamed, "Of course I will! Oh my gosh I can't believe this is happening!"

Kyle smiled and sighed in relief. They stood for a few seconds just looking at each other than gave each other an awkward one-armed hug. Hey, this was going to take so getting used too! Who knows? It could turn out to be a great thing.
