There was a peculiar shape to the way Link's hair fell around his face. Regardless of what was going on in the outside worlds, or inside as sometimes the case may have been, it would undoubtedly return to that original state. Link never had to mess with it too much. He could simply roll out of bed with the perfect style to suit his needs at the ready. Bed head was never a problem, and wind would never disrupt those golden locks for more than a few seconds. Left to its own devices, Link's hair was sure to fall as delicately and precisely as Link himself would always manage to in real life. Like him, it was as close to perfection as it could be on its own.
The most terrifying day of Siegfried's life had been when Link had revealed the consequences of his chained destiny.
When the Hylian told him that his goddesses would force him to fulfill a life they wanted to see carried out, Siegfried almost threw up. The knight had just saved his lover from Soul Edge, a demon blade that even Greek deities had been unable to stop on their own. Now he was at risk for being taken away for good, and by a monster protected by another worldly power. It simply was not fair.
Siegfried was a powerful knight. He could do a great many things, and had this power been of a human or earthly nature he would not have been so concerned. But that was the problem. The ones with the vendetta against him, the ones who were threatening to take Link away, were not human. They were Goddesses, and they had already decided who was right for Link. That intended would not care what the Hylian hero wanted. She was just as against Siegfried as her deities were, and she had their power to back her up.
And though he would never admit it, Siegfried had never been more terrified of Zelda than the day Link told him that destiny had deemed hero and princess to be soul mates.
