Full Summary: Danny is finally back from the GZ, it was a big deal for Amity Park, but no one knew where he was, so now he's practically the center of attention but that's not all. Remember when he almost died that's finally catching up with him. He's been going nonstop for a day after recovering from the episode when he faded from existence. But he when he collapses in detention his friends don't know what to do. Valerie is getting suspicious, even got detention so she could watch him, so when Danny starts talking in his sleep, people are more than willing to listen. Everyone has at least one piece to the puzzle, things that fit together, but no one was organized enough to put it all together… until now.
Recap for those of you who haven't read the 1st one.
I was better the next day, I wasn't so tired, and snappish, and moody (am I mood?) so I had a much better day. The media was still trying to get interviews, so I never knew when they were going to pop out. And I had a small following, mostly 'lower class' girls, though Dash was being suspiciously nice, though I figured it wouldn't last. I hadn't had any more dreams about Dan, so I thought that was good, at least I hoped. Paulina ignored me hard core after I brushed her off the other day, but I didn't care really, all the attention would make it hard to go ghost, but for the most part the only one who came out was the box ghost (not out of the closet, out of the ghost zone) and since he had actually be a big help I gave him a free pass. Though he was starting to annoy me.
I was covered with homework, Jazz was trying to help me, the keyword there being trying. But so far I'd managed to get most of it done, if I just caught up to where I was, then I could at least stay afloat on my c's and b's for a while. I sighed. Sam and Tucker were still a little sore at me, but so far we'd put everything behind us. The only thing that worried me was that she'd never said I love you back. I felt like a complete idiot. Tucker kept trying to get me to tell him what happened but I always ignored him. Today was the second longest day in the history of my short life, yesterday being the longest, but we were going into summer so that could be a contributing factor.
"Dude, wake up Lancer's coming." Tucker nudged me awake.
"Where's the ghost!" I looked around wildly, the first thoughts on my mind that if anyone was waking me up he had to be for danger. Everybody looked at me, my face felt like a hundred degrees.
"Thank you for that Mr. Fenton, Mr. Foley, but seeing as you just spent a month in the ghost zone I'm willing to let that slide." After Mr. Lancer's comment all hell broke loose. You see I'd managed to keep it on the down low that I'd been in the ghost zone the entire time, but that all went out the window with a surprising thud as Mr. Lancer opened his mouth. Dash fell of his seat; girls (from my harem as Tucker called them) swooned and fawned over me. Lancer tried and failed to restore order. I was bombarded by questions, and I was actually getting claustrophobic, and nervous. And when I get nervous, well let just say I don't have the best control over my powers.
I wanted to just disappear, my foot flickered and tried to go invisible, but I kept it visible. This sucked, this just really sucked. I was being mobbed on all sides, I couldn't even see Sam and Tucker, and (even for someone who had been inside the Fenton Thermos) I was getting claustrophobic. I was being asked so many questions I didn't even know what was going on anymore.
"BRAM STOKER PEOPLE, MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" Lancer saved me puling me out of the (in nearly every sense of the word) mosh pit. This was not working out, I searched for a way out frantically, my arm still held by Lancer went accidently intangible and slipped out of his grasp. Lancer looked baffled, but seemed to think of it just as if his hands slipped. Luckily no one else seemed to notice.
"Danny, detention!" Lancer barked.
"But what did I do?" my mind was still reeling from almost being ripped apart (I don't know if this is literally or figuratively).
"Disturbing class."
"But… if you hadn't said anything then that wouldn't have happened." I pointed out, Lancer just got mad.
"No matter, see me after school." I sighed as he issued this order. Ugh, this sucked.
(Random words serving as a line break. Hey if you guys really loved me, you'd send me taquitos.)
"I can't believe Lancer gave you detention." Tucker said attempting to steal my fries. I glared at him and stole my fries away from him."
"Get your own, and believe it." I said eating a handful; I'd gotten my appetite back, my appetite then the appetite of twenty sumo wrestlers, and then some.
"You have detention with Star, Kwan, Mikey, Spike, and Sam." Tucker told me checking his PDA.
"Wait, Sam has detention." I looked over at Sam, "You have detention?" She shrugged.
"So what." Sam asked.
"What did you do?" I asked, then I sighed, "You tried to free the frogs again didn't you." I asked, she shook her head.
"I got into a fight."
"A fight?" I asked, "With who?"
"Spike." Sam said through her teeth.
"About what?' Tucker asked.
"About whether I could kick his ass or not." She said.
"So… who one." I asked wanting to hear how spike got his butt kicked by a girl.
"No one, Lancer gave us detention before I could even touch him." Sam seemed upset by this fact.
"Well, that sucks." Tucker said.
"It really doesn't matter." Sam shrugged. I started in on my fries again.
"Well, I'm sure detention will be fun…" Tucker said, I looked up at him, "And by fun I mean boring."
"Twenty bucks says I leave with at least one bruise." I said to Sam.
"I'm not betting against Murphy's law." Sam rolled her eyes.
"Only one thing to do now." I smiled.
"Yep, he has to endure the torture with us." Sam agreed.
"Hey wait a minute guys…" Tucker said eyes opening.
"Do you want to do the honors?" I asked Sam with a smile.
"Nah, it's all yours." She said handing me her spoon. I dug it into the sludge that passed for school lunch.
"Who should I throw this at?" I asked Tucker.
"Please don't." he begged. I smiled wickedly.
"I'm thinking Lancer." Sam said tapping a finger to her lips, "Yep definitely Lancer."
"Ok." I aimed carefully, Lancer was clear across the room, I was glad to know ghost powers and fighting ghosts every day was going to come in handy. Say for like framing my best friend and getting him into detention. I flung the goop, it amazingly stayed in one clump.
SPLAT.
"Nice throw!" I said loud enough for Lancer to hear and turn around his face in horror about what was on the back of his head. Lancer stomped over to our table. He held a clump of mashed potatoes in his hand.
"Which one of you th…"
"HE DID IT!" Sam and I pointed at Tucker.
"But… they… I …" Tucker stammered.
"DETENTION MR. FOLEY." Lance barked, Tucker slumped, Sam and I repressed smiled until he left.
"Thanks guys." Tuck said sadly.
"You're welcome." We chorused.
(Another random line break thingy… give me some taquitos)
"Dude, you suck." Tucker said to me, I just smiled.
"I know." I smiled, then I said, my arm started shaking slightly, I frowned, this couldn't be good, why was it doing this again. It stopped though as soon as it started and was pushed to the recesses of my mind. We got to my locker, the stupid thing was jammed again. I grabbed the door phasing it out of the lock irritably and shoving my books inside and taking out the Fenton Thermos and throwing it into my backpack.
"Danny are you feeling alright?" Sam asked. I looked at her then sighed.
"I'm not sure, I just feel really weird." I shrugged; Tucker punched me in the shoulder.
"That's your conscience saying it was bad to give me detention." Tucker said. I rolled my eyes.
"I highly doubt that." I said slamming my locker shut.
"No it get it dude, it's your hero complex saying that was a bad thing to do." He said trying to make me feel bad. I rubbed my head, I was getting a headache, which was weird because I usually don't get headaches, or really even get sick unless I was really feeling crappy.
"Tucker leave Danny alone already." Sam said, "We're almost to Lancer's so stop complaining." The walls were getting wavy and felt like I was trying to walk on a boat. I walked into Lancer's classroom and looked around, Tucker looked at me weirdly. Sam stopped.
"Guys.. I think I'm gonna take a nap now." I said hazily, the room spun and the ground rushed up to meet me.
"DANNY!"
( look another random line break… also, ahem: CHEESE IS GOOD FOR YOU!)
"Guys… I think I'm gonna take a nap now." Danny's eyes were unfocused, he seemed to barely get the words out, Lancer looked up at Danny and raised his eyebrows opening his mouth to say something. But Danny's eyes rolled back in his head. Sam and Tucker rushed forward to catch him.
"DANNY!" they yelled, barely grabbing the limp fourteen year old boy in time. The class looked at the black haired boy stunned, Lancer cleared and area of the room and laid Danny down on his back, trying to keep the people crowded around back from him. Danny groaned. Sam and Tucker exchanged glances that said. "this is not good."
Hey sorry about the short chapter, but I figured I'd post this for ya'll before I ran out of internet. ENJOY and as always. REVIEW!
