The group walked through The Palisades and everyone knew something was off. Lightning and Naruto had remained silent the entire time. Snow was about to ask Naruto something when the very man he was about to talk to sent him a glare that said to shut up. They got to a cliff and Vanille look at Taejin's Tower then said "We get through there, and we'll be in Oerba" Snow smirked and said "You're almost home." Naruto look down at the palm of his right hand and saw a silver coin vanish in a small red flash as he felt it melt into his hand.

Dahaka flew over them and everyone but Naruto and Lightning hit the dirt as Vanille said "A fal'Cie!" They all stood up and watched Dahaka fly towards the tower and Hope rolled his eyes as he sarcastically asked "Oh, so we just head through this fal'Cie's lair to get to Oerba, right?" Lightning frowned and asked "What's another fal'Cie at this point?" Naruto walked down the path towards the tower and said "Never underestimate a fal'Cie." While Naruto made his way down the path towards the tower, Hope barely noticed that a tear landed on the ground as Naruto walked.

They entered the tower through the large and foreboding gates and Vanille said "My stomach is tied in a knot." Her cheek was cut as there was a loud bang and everyone saw Naruto with his Omega Weapon in gun mode and pointed at Vanille with a smoking barrel. Fang shoved Naruto against the wall and shouted "What are you doing? You almost killed her!" Naruto kneed Fang in the gut and threw her into Vanille as the others got ready to fight Naruto.

Naruto held his open hand to his Omega Weapon and it flew into his hand. He sheathed it as the others became bewildered while he said "I have no need for cowards." Lightning ran at him as he continued down the hall with the tip of her Omega Weapon pointed at the back of his skull. Naruto tilted his head to the side and grabbed Lightning's arm. He knocked the Omega Weapon away and said "Wait until we get to Oerba and you'll see what I meant last night." He let Lightning go and shoved her back towards Snow.

Snow caught her and they all watched Naruto sit against the wall and say "We'll stop here for a moment while that coward gets healed." Lightning glared at Naruto and went to check on Vanille. Hope looked at Naruto and saw several red feathers around him. Hope went up to Naruto and asked "What's with all the feathers?" Naruto opened his closed eyes slightly and said "A sign that my Focus is almost done." Once Vanille was healed, they headed into the Ground Tier of the tower.

They stopped when they were almost to the stairs and Vanille looked around then asked "I'm not the only one hearing that, am I?" Naruto looked up at the statues in the center of the room then looked at his right arm and saw everything from his elbow down know looked red and demonic. He quickly will it away and as the voices of the statues got louder. He stepped forward as Fang was about to speak and said "They're telling us to leave because Dahaka knows we're here." Vanille looked down and said "We can't leave, this is the only way for us to get through." She looked up at the statue closest to them and begged "Please! Help us." The statue moved and stuck its sword in the ground as Fang translated.

(Thirty Minutes Later)

As they made their way onto the walkway in the middle of the second tier, Dahaka flew out from under the second tier and flew into the air above them. They all drew their weapons as Fang said "Great. Here we go again!" Snow got ready to fight and said "Can't take a hint." Lightning kept her eyes on Dahaka and said "You're one to talk." A large stream of fire suddenly hit Dahaka and the fal'Cie roared in pain. The all looked in the direction the flames had come from and saw Naruto holding out a flaming demonic arm that had some qualities that looked like a birds.

The statues that they help attacked Dahaka and cut off part of his tail. Lightning looked at Naruto in shock and said "Your arm." A translucent shockwave of red energy pulsed once throughout the room as two translucent multicolored wings shot out of Naruto's back. He flew up into the air and after the fleeing Dahaka. Lightning ran along the walkway with the others behind her. As they ran up the stairs, Lightning thought "Don't do anything stupid."

(The Cloven Spire Forty-Five Minutes Later)

They all stepped onto a platform in the middle of the area and were taken up to the very top. They looked around when Snow pointed up in the air and said "Look!" Everyone looked and saw Dahaka flying towards them. He stopped several yards from them and appeared to be sluggish. Lightning narrowed her eyes as she drew her Omega Weapon and said "Something's strange." Fang frowned and said "He must be weak from losing his tail." Dahaka began glowing and revealed his true form to them.

A red blur flew past Dahaka and caused the fal'Cie's head to whip back. The blur landed in front of them with its back to them and stood up. It was what appeared to be a humanoid multicolored bird that was mainly red with a rusty brown belt on around his waist. The creature turned to them and they all took a step back at the demonic-looking head with a strange green film covering the spot where the eyes would be. Lightning took a step forward and asked "N-Naruto?" The creature looked away as Dahaka suddenly roared.

Lightning, Fang, and Vanille ran up alongside the demonic Naruto and faced Dahaka. Naruto held out his right arm and in a swirl of red feathers, a large sword in the shape of a giant feather appeared in his hand. They then scattered as Dahaka fired a Fira Spell at them. Naruto threw his sword and it severed the last of Dahaka's Tail. Dahaka roared in pain and Lightning and Fang both landed a critical blow on the fal'Cie and Vanille hit it with a Firaga Spell. The demonic Naruto flew into the sky above them and flew towards Dahaka. He did a front flip and extended his legs towards Dahaka as his legs caught on fire. He plowed through Dahaka and the fal'Cie exploded.

Naruto landed several feet away from everyone as they talked about the stone soldiers. He turned away and slowly began walking. He heard steps quickly coming up behind him and felt a hand grab his. He looked over his shoulder and saw it was Lightning. Lightning reached up to touch his cheek when Naruto recoiled and said "Monster." Lightning shook her head and looked deep into the green film where his eyes would be. She placed her free hand on his cheek and he glowed red as what appeared to be silver coins began flipping at the point of contact and turned him back into Naruto, who had a heartbroken face.

He pulled his hand out of Lightning's grasp and walked over next to Fang and Vanille as they looked out at the land that was once Oerba. He closed his eyes and walked towards the exit. He looked at his demonic looking right arm and held up a red coin that had a picture of a hawk on it. He got inside the elevator and waited for the others.

(Several Minutes Later)

Naruto remained quiet as they walked through the Cie'th infested Oerba and even remained quiet when the others were talking. Naruto, Fang, and Vanille made their way into the building Naruto and Vanille mainly lived in and looked around. Naruto saw his old tool sack and the chocobo doll that he'd given to Vanille when they were younger. They then looked at their old beds and Naruto remembered the good times that he'd had with Fang and Vanille.

They went towards the table and saw a little robotic dog on the floor. Vanille's eyes sparkled as she ran up to the robot and exclaimed "Oh! Bhakti!" The robot went up to Vanille as Naruto moved to her left and asked "You remember him?" Vanille nodded and said "Yeah!" She petted the robot and said "You're okay. I was so worried!" Bhakti shut off as Fang walked up on Vanille's other side and said "He wanted to say good-bye." Naruto saw Vanille was about to cry and picked up Bhakti.

He examined the robot and said "He's not ready for the scrap heap just yet." He examined it a little more and said "Bit worse for wear, yeah. But nothing I can't fix." Vanille stood up as Naruto said "Just need to track us down a couple of spare parts." He sat Bhakti down and looked at Vanille. He held up a silver coin and asked "Do you want to find the spare parts for Bhakti?" Vanille nodded and Naruto tossed the coin at her forehead. It went into a coin slot that appeared on Vanille's forehead then vanished. Vanille tensed as a creature made of white bandages crawled out of her gut.

Fang got her Bladed Lance out as the creature stood up and the bandages molted to reveal a humanoid bird creature that looked like a red parrot. Naruto frowned and said "Go find some spare parts." The creature bowed to Naruto then flew out through the roof. Naruto looked at Vanille and said "He should be back in a couple of hours." He then walked outside with Fang and Vanille behind him.

(That Night)

Naruto stood up as they all sat around a fire and said "Guys, I have something I want to get off my chest." Snow lied back and asked "Are you going to apologize for being rude to us?" A small stream of fire just barely missed Snow's head ad Naruto said "No. I want to reveal why I've been acting so strange." Naruto took a deep breath and said "I'm not from Cocoon." Vanille and Fang looked away while the others gave visible signs of shock at the statement.

Lightning froze and said "So, that means that…" Naruto nodded and said "I'm from here on Gran Pulse. To be more specific, I'm from here in Oerba." Hope looked at the fire and asked "You're from Oerba?" Naruto nodded and said "Lightning and Snow know me as Naruto Uzumaki. But here, my name is Oerba Dia Naruto, Vanille's brother." Everyone looked at Vanille, who happened to be petting Bhakti after Naruto and Sazh had fixed him two hours ago.

Naruto took a deep breath and said "It all started 500 years ago."

(Begin Flashback)

Naruto looked up at Cocoon with a look of pure hate when a pair of hands covered his eyes and a familiar voice asked "Guess who?" Naruto smiled and asked "Could it be my darling Fang?" Fang smirked and moved in front of Naruto as she kissed him. Naruto smiled and asked "Where are you going at this time?" Fang's smile got larger and said "I'm off to go train." Naruto nodded and said "Perhaps I'll join ya." He walked with her past the Vestige that the fal'Cie Anima lived in and felt his heart stop.

Fang looked over her shoulder at Naruto and asked "You alright love?" Naruto shook his head and said "Yeah. I'm fine." Fang turned to him and said "I can tell you're lying. Now tell me what's wrong." Naruto sighed and said "It's just… I've been having these dreams lately." Fang cocked an eyebrow and asked "Dreams?" Naruto nodded as he sat down on a bench and said "Yeah. In them, I see myself performing the Forbidden Ritual and becoming a monster. I then see you turn to crystal along with Vanille." Fang sat next to Naruto on the bench and leaned against Naruto.

Fang ran her hand down along Naruto chest and said "Don't worry. That's never going to happen." Naruto scoffed and said "That's for sure. You're the ritual maiden. You know more about it than anyone." Fang frowned and diverted her eyes as she said "Don't remind me." Naruto grasped Fang's breast and massaged it and got a strangled moan of pleasure from her. Naruto then placed his mouth next to Fang's ear and whispered "No matter what, you'll always be my special little dragon." Fang moaned again and Naruto kissed her.

(End Flashback)

Snow shook his head and asked "So, you and Fang were…" Naruto nervously chuckled and said "Yeah." Fang blushed and Hope asked "What about you and Lightning now? Doesn't that make things uncomfortable?" Naruto confusingly nodded and said "Yeah. But that's a little complicated." Fang began growling and asked "How complicated could it be?" Naruto sat down between Hope and Vanille and sighed.

He looked at the flames of the fire he started and said "Before I first became a l'Cie, I asked Anima to tell me what he know about l'Cie. He told me that if two l'Cie have their Brands in the exact same spot, then they're soul mates. The complicated part is that two of my Brands are in the exact same places as both Lightning's and Fang's." Lightning and Fang looked at each other as Sazh asked "So, that means that they have to share?" Naruto closed his eyes and nodded.

He opened them again and petted Bhakti as he said "That means that deep down, they have feelings for each other as well." Everyone but Naruto visibly blushed at the statement as Lightning and Fang turned their backs to each other. Naruto stood up again and said "I'm going to take a walk." He walked off as Snow called out "Don't go getting killed by the Cie'th now!" Naruto vanished into the darkness and reappeared several blocks away, on top of a tall building.

Naruto looked at his right arm as it became demonic looking then returned to normal as nine red coins appeared in his palm. He pulled out a rather large sack and dropped the red coins into it. He then heard what sounded like coins falling and a large figure made of silver coins that were glowing red came out of the bag as Naruto dropped it. The figure turned into a man of about Snow's age with reddish brown hair that had his bangs pushed over to the right wearing a white jacket with the sleeves torn off and a red shirt under it with red pants on his lower body and black shoes. His right arm was just like Naruto's demonic one before he put the coins in the bag.

The man turned to Naruto and said "About time you let me go." Naruto lowered his head and said "I'm sorry." The man turned his back to Naruto and looked out at Oerba and said "So, this is your home in this world." Naruto nodded and said "I have a favor to ask of you." The man turned to Naruto and asked "What?" Naruto looked up at Cocoon and said "When I leave, please watch over everybody." The man scoffed and asked "Why should I?" Naruto got down on his knees and said "Please. It's the only thing I can ask of you. When I'm finished, I will have to leave this world. Please, just watch over them. But most of all, watch over Lightning. Please, Ankh." Ankh sighed as he looked away and said "Fine. But I'll be staying here." Naruto placed his head on the floor and said "Thank you." Ankh sighed as Naruto absorbed nine purple coins.

(The Next Day)

As they made their way along an old train bridge, Naruto froze when he saw Serah at the end of the bridge, reciting the legend of Ragnarok. Just as Serah was several yards away, he felt a desire that was destructive coming from her. He roared and lunged at her the moment she called Lightning her true name, Clare. Her grabbed her by her throat and pulled her off the ground.

Lightning stepped forward and shouted "Naruto, stop!" Naruto pointed his right hand at Serah's face when she placed her hand and his left wrist. His arm exploded in a shower of silver coins and he was blown back into Fang as his arm remained in tack but he kept bleeding silver coins. Serah glowed as she turned into Dysley, who said "I'm impressed that you've gone that far." Snow growled and shouted "Why you!" He attempted to punch Dysley, who teleported away. He attempted to do it again but was thrown back by a force field.

Naruto used a good portion of his strength to draw the silver coins to him and reabsorb them as he returned to his human form. He stood up and took out a rectangular device attached to a belt buckle that had three slots with the device on an access. Dysley smirked when he saw the device and asked "You do know what will happen if you use your set of Medals, right?" Naruto panted and held up three purple coins, each with a different picture on them.

Naruto suddenly lost his hearing as Dysley floated into the air and returned to his true form that was very different from the one they fought on the Palamecia. Naruto put the buckle at his gut and a belt wrapped around him as a small coin holder on his left hip and a circular scanning device on his right hip. He then placed two coins in the end slots then the last one in the middle slot. He removed the scanning device from his right hip and a whirling sound was heard along with beeping. Naruto looked over his shoulder at Fang and motioned for her to step back. Fang did as Naruto looked forward.

Naruto ran the scanner along the buckled as he cross his left arm over his chest and shouted "Henshin!" He then held the scanned in front of his chest as purple images appeared in front of him and a loud voice shouted "PTERA! TRICERA! TYRANNO!" The images in front of him came together and went onto his chest as the voice shouted "PU! TO! TYRANNOSAURAS!" The image went onto his chest then flashed purple and revealed his armored form.

He was wearing white armor with purple highlights. His head was covered by a purple helmet that looked like a flying reptile with its wings spread wide that had green eyes. The middle section had a purple crest that looked like a combination of different reptiles with shoulder plates that looked like they had horns attached to them. The lower half of his body had purple boots with what appeared to be two tail-like attachments on his lower back.

Fang, Hope, and Sazh were surprised by the new armor as Naruto let out a huge roar. A thick lair of ice spear out from Naruto's feet and everyone jumped away to avoid the ice as it reached Barthandelus and encased his entire body in ice. The ice then shattered and silver coins rained down from the sky but seemed to vanish as they flew into the air.

Lightning, Snow, and Vanille stopped fighting and turned to look at the new armored Naruto and Lightning asked "Naruto?" The armored Naruto looked at her and said "Kamen Rider… OOO." OOO held up his right hand and threw it into the ground he was standing on. He pulled out his hand to reveal he was now holding a strange looking axe that looked like the mouth of lizard with the blade between its jaws and a tube attached to the lower jaw. His helmet grew wings and he flew high into the air and towards Barthandelus.

Barthandelus fired lasers at OOO but they bounced off. OOO swung the Medagabryu at Barthandelus when he was close and silver coins flew from the fal'Cie and appeared to vanish. OOO flew over him and repeated the process. Once he was in front of Barthandelus again, he turned to him and landed on the ground. OOO then took three of the silver coins and placed them into the Medagabryu and it announced "GULP!" OOO converted the Medagabryu into what appeared to be a gun as a sphere of purple and black energy gathered at the end of the barrel and it said "PUTOTYRANO HISSATSU!" OOO then fired a large purple and black beam of energy at Barthandelus and the fal'Cie exploded when it hit. Millions of silver coins rained down and several hundred were absorbed by OOO while the rest vanished. OOO then flashed and revealed Naruto, who nearly fell over but managed to stay on his feet with Lightning supporting him.

Naruto panted and they all grunted as a Dysley appeared in front of them and said "The time has come." They all got ready to fight as Dysley chuckled and said "Allow me to extend my invitation." He raised a staff and looked up at Cocoon as he said "To save a people beyond salvation, there is only Ragnarok." He planted his staff into the ground and the owl from before flew out of it. It then flew over the group and turned into a ship that landed behind Dysley and Naruto only hardened his glare at him. Dysley then told them "Cocoon suffers. Release her from the pain." He then turned and vanished. Naruto finally managed to stand on his own and thought back to when he first arrived in this world.

(Start Flashback)

Naruto landed with a hard thud on a metal surface and grunted. He grabbed his head as he pushed himself to his feet and said "Man, I really need to work on landing. The machine in front of him activated and Naruto attempted to will one of his swords into his hands and found that they wouldn't come. The machine then became a giant monster that said "Oh, one chosen by the goddess, hear my plea. I am called Anima, the fal'Cie that guards the village of Oerba on the land of Gran Pulse, the village that is under the cursed sphere of Cocoon." Naruto raised an eyebrow and asked "What could you want of me?" Anima let out a slow breath and met Naruto's gaze.

Naruto frowned and said "Well, come on. What's this plea of yours?" Thousands of tendrils flew from Anima and wrapped around Naruto's body. Naruto struggled to free himself as Anima sent a pulse of energy along the tendrils and Naruto tensed and went wide eyed as a vision of several people flashed through his mind along with several coins and a large sphere suspended above a village. Anima's voice then said "Fulfill your Focus and save your true loves." Naruto then passed out as the tendrils withdrew and Anima went to sleep.

(End Flashback)

Naruto headed towards the ship and Fang asked "Where are you going, love?" Everyone looked at Naruto as he stopped and said "I'm going." Sazh got to his feet and asked "Are you crazy? You're just going to do what Dysley says?" Naruto looked up at Cocoon and said "Let me tell you all something. I'm not Vanille's blood brother. I was adopted by her family." Vanille looked surprised at this while Fang didn't.

Naruto continued to stare at Cocoon and said "I'm actually not from Gran Pulse, either. I'm from an entirely different world." Everyone but Fang looked at Naruto in shock as Snow asked "What?" Naruto removed his top and revealed a large scar going across his back, from his right shoulder to his left hip, as he said "I was treated like a monster for most of my childhood because I had a monster that slaughtered hundreds of people sealed inside of me. It wasn't until I was 8 that I found an actually family." He put his top back on and turned to them as he said "I'm on a journey across worlds to find my parents, who were also from another world." He looked at Lightning and Fang and said "I never expected to find a family here as well." He then glowed purple and turned into a dinosaur monster as the others took a step back in shock and Naruto returned to normal.

Naruto held up a ring and said "I made a promise to Anima, Serah, and myself that I would destroy the Cocoon fal'Cie and save everybody on it." He then took out another and tossed one each to Lightning and Fang. They caught them and Naruto said "If I can find a way to save Cocoon and the people, I'd gladly take it." He turned back to look at Cocoon and said "Even if the marrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forestall my return. To become the dew that quenches the land, to spare the seas, the sky, I offer thee my silent sacrifice." He then walked into the ship and the others followed him a few seconds later.
